Race 2 - 3 July 2021 Auckland TC Workouts - Graduation driver V Blanchard (THE MIGHTY WARRIOR) was fined $450 by the Adjudicative Committee for using his whip free of the rein and with more than a wrist flicking motion in the home straight.

Race 3 - GREGORY EQUINE COVERS AND SADDLERY MOBILE PACE
Trainer T Mitchell advised Stewards on 28 July that blood tests taken from WATCH AND LEARN revealed no abnormality and will continue with her current preparation. Mr Mitchell added that in his opinion the mare is not suited to leading and he will attempt to drive her with cover in future races should circumstances permit.

Race 1   BRECKON FARMS HANDICAP PACE
MACH'S BACK - hung outwards under pressure throughout the final straight and had to be corrected on several occasions by driver M McKendry.
ROUGH AND READY - over-raced during the middle stages.
CALLIE'S DELIGHT - raced keenly for some distance after making an unsuccessful attempt for the front near the 1200 metres.
FABRIZIO - trainer D Balle was warned for failing to have the correct colours available. Broke at the start and lost ground. Paced roughly for several strides leaving the final bend.
Race 2   DUNSTAN SPEEDFEED HANDICAP TROT
DRUM N BASS - broke racing into the first bend losing considerable ground. Broke again on several occasions losing its chance. A warning was placed on the gelding's racing record.
SUPERFAST NINJA - trainer/driver A Drake reported that he did not release the mare's deafeners due to having the field covered.
MISS SLIPPERS - weakened on the bend near the 500 metres. Driver D Ferguson was questioned regarding the mare's performance however could offer no explanation for his runner's disappointing effort. Mr Ferguson advised the horse would be examined in the coming days by the Stable Veterinarian and Stewards will follow up.
STILL EYRE - held up on the final bend.
HIGH IN THE SKY - over-raced middle stages. Held up on the final bend.
SCRAPPYLITTLENOBODY - weakened on the bend near the 500 metres. When spoken to regarding the mare's performance co-trainer D McGowan explained that he had been disappointed with the efforts of his mare and suspected her to be suffering a respiratory ailment. He added that it was his intention to have the mare undergo further veterinary attention in the coming days. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the horse to be suffering a respiratory ailment. Subsequent to the veterinary examination Mr McGowan contacted Stewards and notified his mare had since that time bled with a one month stand down period enforced after which time the horse must provide a clearance certificate and trial satisfactorily.
ALDEBARAN FLAME - raced wide in the early stages.
MAJESTIC HARRY - lay inwards on the bend near the 1300 metres. Raced wide from the 900 metres. Briefly placed in restricted room in the early stages of the run home and had to be steadied.
SAINT MICHEL - raced wide from the 900 metres. Lay outwards in the early stages of the home straight when under pressure.
Race 3   HYDROFLOW MOBILE PACE
MIDFREW LUCRE - lay inwards over the final stages. Driver B Mangos admitted a charge alleging he had used his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home and after hearing submissions on penalty the Adjudicative Committee suspended Mr Mangos' driver's licence from the conclusion of racing tonight up to and including 26 August 2021 (4 days).
MAGIC THOMPSON - raced keenly middle stages. Held up for clear racing room over the concluding stages.
MAJOR HOLIDAY - lay inwards throughout. Raced wide from the 1300 metres. Weakened near the 400 metres.
MATAI LOUIS - raced keenly middle stages. Held up throughout the run home. Driver P Ferguson reported that he did not release the gelding's deafeners as a result of this. Stewards delayed the all clear until the final stages of the race had been reviewed where this gelding shifted inwards and struck the winning post marker peg. Stewards were satisfied that MATAI LOUIS had been racing in sufficient space but then been crowded over the final stages when MIDFREW LUCRE lay inwards.
POWER UP - lay outwards in the final straight. Stewards questioned driver J Dickie regarding the manner in which he drove leaving the final bend where his runner shifted up the track prior to the commencement of the passing lane. Mr Dickie explained that his runner had been inclined to run away from the boring pole which had also caused the colt to pace roughly for a short distance. He said the horse had then continued to shift up the track throughout the run home having to be corrected on occasions. After reviewing the films no further action was deemed necessary. In taking this action Stewards were satisfied that Mr Dickie's runner had lay outwards and that MIDFREW LUCRE had not gained a run earlier than the passing lane.
Race 4   WHAT THE HILL AT WOODLANDS TROT
I GOT MUSIC - broke passing the 1250 metres losing its chance.
MINNIE BOW TIQUE - trotted roughly on the final bend and lost ground then lay inwards on straightening for the run home and had to be corrected.
MY ROYAL ROXY - broke passing the 2300 metres losing ground and settling at the back of the field. Trotted roughly approaching the 1000 metres. Authorisation of 5th placing was withheld until Stewards were satisfied the mare had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation in the early stages.
SHAY SCOTT - broke at the start losing its chance.
SOLEDAD - broke in the early stages when being steadied to avoid a galloping runner losing its chance.
HILL OF PEACE - trotted roughly in the middle stages of the run home.
REIGN - broke after 100 metres losing considerable ground. Broke again on several occasions losing its chance.
CEPHEUS - broke approaching the 600 metres losing ground.
Race 5   ATC COMBINED WINTER FUTURITY FINAL (MOBILE PACE)
JOSHUA RICHARD - hampered by a breaking runner on the first bend having to shift ground.
JONO B - paced roughly passing the 800 metres and lost ground. Weakened approaching the 400 metres.
DOCTOR STEVE - hung inwards and broke racing into the first bend losing ground. A warning was placed on the colt's racing record. Authorisation of 4th placing was withheld until Stewards were satisfied that the colt had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation in the early stages.
RONDA - weakened in the run home after racing parked throughout.
GETN WIGGY WITHIT - hampered by a breaking runner on the first bend having to shift ground.
MANHATTAN - hampered by a breaking runner on the first bend having to shift ground. Raced wide early stages before improving to the lead near the 1600 meters.
WILLSHEROCKNROLL - over-raced and hung outwards in the early stages. Continued to over-race through the middle stages.
Race 6   IRT - YOUR HORSE OUR PASSION HANDICAP TROT
EMMA FROST - held up final bend.
LEXI T - weakened in the run home. When questioned regarding the performance trainer/driver J Stormont reported that he was not disappointed with the mare's effort considering it was up in grade tonight.
IN SEQUENCE - broke for a short distance at the start. Lay out in the run home despite the efforts of driver S Phelan.
INVICTUS - over-raced during the middle stages. Held up final bend. Had some difficulty obtaining clear running in the middle stages of the run home.
CREDIT MASTER - tangled away.
Race 7   AOTEA ELECTRIC AUCKLAND MOBILE PACE
JACK TAR - held up final bend and in the early stages of the run home.
LITTLE MISS PERFECT - held up by a weakening runner final bend.
RUN MASON RUN - weakened leaving the final bend.
SATCHMO - over-raced during the middle stages.
OHOKA ACHILLES - over-raced during the middle stages.
Race 8   ATC NORTH ISLAND WINTER FUTURITY FINAL (MOBILE PACE)
CHRIS KYLE - hampered in the early stages and had to be steadied. Lay inwards on the final bend striking several track markers.
JOHN WAYNE - paced roughly shortly after the start and had to be restrained. Again paced roughly passing the 1800 metres. Badly inconvenienced by a weakening runner on the final bend. Lay inwards in the early and middle stages of the run home.
ARDEN VELOCITY - paced roughly passing the 150 metres.
HESASHORETHING - gave ground final bend.
MELANION - raced wide and without cover from the 800 metres. When spoken to regarding the performance trainer/driver T Herlihy reported that he had not been disappointed with the gelding's effort when considering the fast tempo of the race and having to improve wide from the 800 metres.
Race 9   THE OMAH GROUP MOBILE PACE
THE BLUE BEAT - lay inwards on the final bend and contacted several track markers. Continued to lay inwards throughout the final straight placing driver J Abernethy at a disadvantage.
DRUM WITHERS - hampered on the final bend by a weakening runner.
GOVERNOR'S BAY - lay outwards in the early stages of the home straight causing some inconvenience to RORY MCILROY.
RORY MCILROY - placed in restricted room in the early stages of the run home and had to shift ground outwards to obtain clear running.
DUN IT BAD - hung inwards throughout the run home.
Race 10   THANKS TO ATC RACENIGHT STEWARDS TROT
ROSSELLINI - broke after 50 metres losing its chance. Stood down until the completion of one satisfactory standing start trial.
STORMS ACOMING - pre-race warmed. Weakened near the 500 metres. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
THE GOVERNATOR - pre-race warmed. Trotted roughly throughout the run home and was not able to be fully pressured by driver S Phelan.
SHARE THE LOVE - slow in the early stages. Trotted roughly on the final bend.
CYBER ATTACK - broke passing the 1300 metres losing considerable ground.
ERROL D - broke after 100 metres. A warning was placed on the gelding's barrier record. Authorisation of 5th placing was withheld until Stewards were satisfied that the gelding had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation in the early stages.
