Driver R May (JUSTACE) admitted a breach of Rule 869(2) and the Whip & Rein Regulations in that he used his whip free of the rein in the middle stages of the home straight and was fined $200 by the Adjudicative Committee.

Race 1   TRACKSIDE DINING AT ADDINGTON MOBILE PACE
NORDY STAR - displayed poor barrier manners prior to leaving the pre-race circle and was slow in the early stages of the score up however was able to take up its allocated position at the start. Placed on the unruly for future mobile starts. Raced greenly near the 1100 metres and shifted up the track despite the efforts of driver S McNally. Weakened leaving the final bend. When spoken to regarding the gelding's performance both driver S McNally and trainer B White could offer no explanation and were disappointed with the effort. Stewards will follow up the recovery of the gelding in the coming days.
QUINTO UNO - broke near the 1600 metres losing ground. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding. Weakened final bend.
LIFE OF ART - paced roughly shortly after the start and had to be steadied. Hung inwards rounding the final bend causing driver M Williamson considerable difficulty. Paced roughly in the home straight.
LUNAR LEGEND - paced roughly passing the 1600 metres when awkwardly positioned close to the sulky wheel of PRODIGAL SON.
LIL RIPPER - held up leaving the final bend.
PRODIGAL SON - paced roughly for several strides near the 1400 metres.
SIR MONTY - held up leaving the final bend and in the early stages of the run home. Driver S Thompson was spoken to advisedly for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the middle stages of the run home.
GET UP N DANCE - raced wide from the 800 metres.
ROLLYOUROWN - held up final bend.
Trainer B White advised Stewards on 28 July that NORDY STAR is suffering from a virus and will be given a brief spell.
Race 2   IRT. YOUR HORSE. OUR PASSION TROT
The start was delayed 10 minutes due to several track lights malfunctioning with the issue being rectified by the on course electrician.
REPEAT PAT - trotted roughly in the home straight.
CALL THIS FUN - broke racing into the first bend losing considerable ground. Weakened from the 800 metres.
TAKE AFTER ME - trotted roughly final bend and then broke near the 250 metres.
ALDEBARAN HEATHER - hung inwards and weakened rounding the final bend.
ZEALOUS SPUR - trotted roughly final bend. When spoken to regarding the gelding's performance trainer D Simpson advised that in his opinion the gelding had failed to back up from recent racing and would be freshened prior to resuming.
STEEL DUST - broke at the start. Over-raced middle stages. Trotted roughly and broke again on the final bend.
ONE OVER ALL - broke shortly after the start losing all chance. A warning was placed on the gelding's barrier record.
Race 3   HYDROFLOW FILLIES & MARES MOBILE PACE
The start was delayed due to the delay in the previous race.
HELEN OF TROY - over-raced middle stages. Paced roughly final bend losing ground.
EXPRESSIVE LOVE - hung inwards rounding the first bend losing ground.
BONDI LUSTRE - weakened final bend.
MISS FIONA - had difficulty obtaining clear racing room in the home straight.
FLORAS DIAMOND DEAL - out of position at the start. Driver R Houghton was issued with a warning. Paced roughly for several strides near the 1700 metres when being restrained to the back of the field after becoming awkwardly positioned close to the sulky of MISS FIONA. Held up over the concluding stages.
TOTAL ECLIPSE - raced wide until reaching the parked position near the 1200 metres.
Race 4   MID-WINTER AT ADDINGTON - 6 AUGUST PACE
The start was delayed when MUCHO MACHO MAN came forward quicker than the general line ending up making contact with the barrier strand. Driver S Tomlinson was issued with a warning. MAGICAL MATTY and ALL BY MYSELF also approached the start at a greater speed than other runners but Stewards were satisfied drivers A Lethaby and K Barron had attempted to prevent this and a warning was placed on the barrier record of both horses.
AMERICAN SNIPER - tangled away.
RAKE - broke at the start.
SPOT ON - tangled away.
ALL BY MYSELF - broke at the start.
EASTWOOD ISABELLA - broke at the start.
Race 5   GARRARDS MOBILE PACE
SAGINAW - paced roughly in the home straight.
BIG MAMA MORRIS - raced wide early stages.
SMIFFY'S TERROR - hung inwards rounding the first bend.
MIDFREW LUISIANABEAU - raced wide early stages. Weakened near the 500 metres. When spoken to regarding the performance driver S McNally could offer no explanation. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a slow recovery rate. Stewards will follow up the recovery of the gelding in the coming days.
GIVEMEWHATINEED - over-raced middle stages.
Trainer B White advised Stewards on 28 July that MIDFREW LUISIANABEAU is suffering from a virus and will resume when treatment is concluded.
Race 6   RICOH MOBILE TROT
RACHMANINOV - held up leaving the final bend and in the early stages of the run home.
KING CASSIDY - broke in the score up and was out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the gelding's barrier record.
HURRICANE HILL - broke shortly after the start losing ground. A warning was placed on the gelding's barrier record. Broke again near the 1500 metres. Hung inwards throughout the run home and trotted roughly.
SPY DA MOMENT - trotted roughly and was out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the gelding's barrier record. Trotted roughly shortly after the start.
KAHRESS - held up early stages of the run home.
ROGIE FALLS - held up leaving the final bend. When spoken to regarding the performance trainer B White advised he would be having blood tests taken and would advise the results to Stewards.
CRUSHER COLLINS - weakened leaving the final bend.
KOWHAI SUNDOWN - trotted roughly over the concluding stages.
YURI - broke passing the 1400 metres losing ground. Broke again near the 200 metres.
Trainer B White advised Stewards on 28 July that ROGIE FALLS is suffering from a virus and will be given a brief spell.
Race 7   THE ELMWOOD TRADING CO HANDICAP PACE
BETTOR BELIEVE IT - driver C DeFilippi was spoken to advisedly for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the home straight.
ROCKNTOMMY RULZ - held up early stages of the run home.
BLACK OPS - slow to begin. Weakened final bend.
Race 8   XCM SPORT HANDICAP TROT
MY MOMENT'S NOW - weakened from the 700 metres hampering trailing runners and broke passing the 500 metres. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
THE BLOSS - hampered near the 600 metres.
MADELEINE STOWE - hung inwards near the 1300 metres and struck several track markers. When spoken to regarding the improved performance trainer M Nyhan advised the mare had derived benefit from its fresh up run last week where the horse had finished the race strongly leaving her to be confident going into this week's race.
GIRLS LET LOOSE - broke rounding the first bend losing ground.
RED HARBOUR - hampered near the 600 metres. Weakened final bend.
BOYZ INVASION - broke at the start losing all chance and was retired from the race.
WITH ICE - raced wide early stages.
COCHY MALC - hampered by a breaking runner racing into the first bend. Weakened final bend. When spoken to regarding the performance trainer/driver K Barron could offer no explanation and advised he was disappointed with the effort and the gelding would be sent for spell.
MONKEY'S WAY - hampered near the 2100 metres.
Race 9   HRS CONSTRUCTION FILLIES & MARES MOBILE PACE
TAKEMYBREATHAWAY - struck several track markers on the final bend. Driver K Tomlinson (assisted by M Williamson) was issued with a warning.
ALENE - weakened final bend.
SHARDS IN MANHATTAN - held up early stages of the run home. Driver S O'Reilly reported she had not activated the filly's sliding blinds.
SOPHIA BROMAC - driver R May advised the removable deafeners were not activated due to the cord breaking.
A GUINNESS DANCE - paced roughly in the early stages. Over-raced middle stages. Had to be steadied near the 450 metres when momentarily awkwardly positioned close to the sulky of TAKEMYBREATHAWAY which had been caused by an easing of the pace. Held up early stages of the run home.
Race 10   FIRST DIRECT TAXIS MOBILE PACE
SERIOUS MOONLITE - hung inwards when weakening rounding the final bend striking track markers.
STEPHS BOY - over-raced middle stages.
DAGGY LAMB - hung inwards and was out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the gelding's barrier record. Weakened from the 600 metres. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days.
JOURNO - held up final bend.
BETTOR BEONTOIT - raced wide early stages. Weakened final bend.
UNCLE CHAN - held final bend and in the early and middle stages of the run home.
Trainer D Reardon advised Stewards on 28 July that following its disappointing performance last Friday DAGGY LAMB has been sent for a spell.
