KEISHA - when questioned regarding the improved performance stable representative J Dunn advised the horse had trialed very well in preparation and was better suited to racing left handed compared to recent racing right handed where the filly had accumulated her poor form. | |
HAITI FRANCO - weakened passing the 600 metres. When spoken to regarding the performance driver C Thornley could offer no explanation and advised he was very disappointed with the effort. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. |

VESNINA - paced roughly throughout the run home. Stewards questioned driver J Dunn regarding the manner he drove on the first bend when ASHES OF DESIRE was able to shift inwards to the trailing position. Mr Dunn explained that as evidenced through the mare's gait in the run home when pressured she was prone to racing roughly so felt it in his best interests not to pressure her at this stage. | |
SHE'S A DAGG - broke at the start. A warning was placed on the mare's barrier record. | |
ASHES OF DESIRE - over-raced middle stages. | |
KENNEDY - briefly hampered at the top of the straight by an inside runner. | |
PENELOPE BROMAC - broke at the start. | |
SAFE ZONE - slow to begin. Stewards questioned driver D Roberts regarding his position at the start. Mr Roberts explained that his mare had previously raced roughly in the early stages from standing starts however until seeing the films had not been aware he was so far out of position. A warning was placed on Mr Roberts record. |

UNCHANGED MEMORY - held up final bend. Stewards spoke to driver M Herbert in relation to the horse striking track markers on the final bend. Mr Herbert advised that the gelding had been over-racing and proving difficult. Notwithstanding this he was cautioned for allowing his horse to shift inwards and contact track markers prior to the passing lane. | |
ROSIES TERROR - driver S O'Reilly reported the deafeners were not released due to the cord breaking. This gear was inspected and found to be in previously good condition. | |
CORFU BROMAC - raced wide early stages. | |
SEARING LIGHT - lay inwards in the score up and was out of position at the start. Stood down to complete one satisfactory mobile trial. Raced fiercely in the early stages. Continued to over-race through the middle stages. Driver K Barron reported the filly had been jumping shadows and he would be recommending gear changes to trainer A Edge. | |
GREENBACK BOOGIE - raced wide early stages. | |
JUSTACE - held up by a weakening runner final bend and hung outwards when being restrained locking wheels with ADHARA for a short distance near the 350 metres. Held up early stages of the run home. | |

ADHARA - out of position at the start. Driver A Stewart was issued a warning. Locked wheels with JUSTACE for a short distance near the 350 metres causing the mare to break having to be restrained. Held up early stages of the run home. | |

Driver J Morrison admitted driving carelessly in this incident and after viewing the films and hearing penalty submissions the Adjudicative Committee suspended his licence from the conclusion of racing on 18 July 2021 up to and including 25 July 2021 (2 days). | |
