Race 1 - MID-WINTER AT ADDINGTON (AMATEUR DRIVERS) MOBILE PACE
Driver J Buckland-Stevens (MYRCELLA) was warned for using her whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the early stages of the run home.
Stewards have concluded an investigation into an incident shortly after the start where UNFAZED (S Murtha) was checked and broke when racing to the inside of MYRCELLA (J Buckland-Stevens) and PETE'S DASH (C Negus). After considering evidence obtained from all parties and reviewing the replays, Stewards were unable to apportion full blame to any one horse or driver and took the matter no further other than to note the circumstances.

Race 7 - LASER ELECTRICAL TIMARU MOBILE PACE
Trainer T Yesberg advised Stewards on 4 July that blood tests taken from REINIMIN PATRON revealed no abnormalities with Mr Yesberg adding that the gelding will return to the trials prior to resuming.

Race 8 - AVON CITY FORD YOUNG AT HEART WINTER CLASSIC (MOBILE PACE)
Stewards questioned driver S O'Reilly regarding RAKE being out of position at the start. Miss O'Reilly advised that the horse had been unable to maintain its position behind the mobile despite her efforts. After viewing the replays which verified Miss O'Reilly's explanation, a warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.

Race 1   IRT. YOUR HORSE. OUR PASSION. (AMATEUR DRIVERS) MOBILE PACE
DAGGY LAMB - shifted outwards when racing in the parked position after driver J Reardon activated the removable deafeners on the final bend and hampered outside runners. Mr Reardon admitted a breach of Rule 869(4) in that he drove in a manner which caused interference when allowing his runner to shift wider and after hearing penalty submissions the Adjudicative Committee imposed a fine of $300. Mr Reardon was also spoken to advisedly for using his whip free of the rein on one occasion on the final bend.
BOLZANO - hampered on the final bend and had to be steadied.
MYRCELLA - over-raced middle stages.
VON ART - held up early stages of the run home. Driver B White was spoken to advisedly for using his whip free of the rein on one occasion in the middle stages of the home straight.
FRANCO HOFFMAN - raced wide early stages. Hampered on the final bend and forced wider on the track.
JENABELLA - hung in the score up and was out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Continued to hang outwards in the early stages. Over-raced middle stages. Hampered on the final bend and forced wider on the track. When questioned regarding the performance driver A Fitzgerald advised he had got too far back in the running and had been unable to improve in the home straight due to the quick final sectionals.
FOUR STARZZZ SHIRAZ - hampered on the final bend and forced wider on the track.
Race 2   McMILLAN EQUINE FEEDS TROT
WESTLAND PEAK - broke at the start losing ground.
ADITI - baulked at the barrier strand being released and was slow to begin. Trainer/driver G Smith advised the filly will race with a Cornell Collar in its future engagements and have an alteration to its training regime prior to its next start.
MOONS WAY - broke after 100 metres. Broke again racing into the first bend losing all chance.
SUPERFAST WHIZZ - trotted roughly rounding the final bend. Driver J Morrison reported he was unable to fully drive the mare out in the run home due to trotting roughly.
TERROR COVE - trotted roughly and broke passing the 400 metres.
BUILD A BRIDGE - broke at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Broke again near the 700 metres losing all chance.
TINTED STUART - broke racing into the first bend losing all chance.
MASTEROFTHEMANOR - briefly hampered shortly after the start and was slow to begin.
NIGHT WATCH - hampered by a breaking runner shortly after the start and broke losing all chance.
Race 3   MID-WINTER AT ADDINGTON - NEW DATE 6TH AUGUST PACE
The start was delayed due to outside runners being unable to take up their allocated positions after being crowded.
PROTEUS - over-raced middle stages
VINCENT VEGA - broke at the start. Placed on the unruly for future standing starts. Raced four wide from the 700 metres.
MR CASH MAN - hung inwards and broke in the early stages after the gelding's hind leg made contact with the sulky wheel of FULL OF DESIRE. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
KAKA POINT GALANTY - paced roughly rounding the final bend and in the home straight.
MISS MARKLE - hampered by a breaking runner in the early stages.
WATCHING OUR COIN - driver M Edmonds defended a charge under Rule 869(2) and the Whip & Rein Regulations alleging that he used his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the home straight. After viewing the films and hearing evidence from Stewards and Mr Edmonds, the Adjudicative Committee found the charge proved and suspended Mr Edmonds licence from the conclusion of racing today up to and including the close of racing on 23 July 2021 (5 days).
WEBS REACTOR - driver C Markham was warned to ensure he starts wider on the track when drawn unruly.
Race 4   TRACKSIDE DINING AT ADDINGTON MOBILE PACE
SMOOTH DEBATE - driver T Williams was spoken to advisedly for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the home straight.
LITTLE GEE - paced roughly in the score up and was out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the filly.
LUMINITE - late scratching at 11am on veterinary advice.
FROSTY RECEPTION - weakened final bend.
ZIRCON LASS - over-raced middle stages. Hung inwards rounding the final bend and throughout the home straight. Driver B Orange was spoken to advisedly for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion on the final bend and in the early stages of the run home.
CONQUER ME - held up early stages of the run home.

Race 5   HYDROFLOW HANDICAP PACE
SHE'S A DAGG - broke at the start.
TIGER LOU - broke at the start losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
MEGAROCK - held up in the middle stages of the run home.
KINGSDOWN ATOM - hampered by a breaking runner shortly after the start. Driver C Butt reported he sustained a punctured sulky tyre near the 1100 metres.
TAURUS - broke racing into the first bend when wide on the track losing ground. Hung outwards and paced roughly near the 1100 metres after making contact with the sulky wheel of KINGSDOWN ATOM despite the efforts of driver S McNally. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
TERRIER - paced roughly shortly after the start. Hampered by a breaking runner near the 700 metres.
KENNEDY - raced wide early stages. Paced roughly on various occasions during the running. Over-raced middle stages. Weakened from the 800 metres and broke briefly near the 700 metres. A post-race veterinary examination revealed signs of muscle tie up and a slow recovery. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days.
SAFE ZONE - had some difficulty obtaining clear racing room late in the run home.
SERIOUS MOONLITE - raced wide early stages.
Trainer S Blake advised Stewards on 7 July that KENNEDY has recovered well following its performance at Addington last week adding that the gelding will resume on Sunday with a change of overcheck and the addition of a tongue tie.
Race 6   QUEENSTOWN PARK BOUTIQUE HOTEL TROT
LISTEN EASY - fractious prior to the start causing a delay. Broke at the start. Authorisation of placings was withheld until trainer A Edge and driver K Barron had reviewed the films of the start to determine whether the mare had been denied a fair start. Declared a non-runner by the Stewards under Rule 213(1)(j) after being crowded for room and unable to address the barrier strand. Despite this a warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
THAT'S THE STORY - over-raced middle stages.
KENNY KEKO - when spoken to regarding the performance driver B Orange advised the filly had been unsuited to racing parked.
BEYOND THE HORIZON - raced wide early stages. Driver J Smith was issued a warning for loose reining.
YURI - driver J Dunn reported he did not activate the removable deafeners due to having the field covered.
Race 7   LANSON CHAMPAGNE MOBILE PACE
CHA CHA B - hampered leaving the final bend.
SHARDS IN MANHATTAN - locked wheels with MARTIN JOHN rounding the final bend losing ground. Driver S O'Reilly reported she did not activate the sliding blinds in consequence.
DON'T QUOTE ME - hampered leaving the final bend.
HUEGO BOS - hampered leaving the final bend.
CAPTAIN CONFETTI - broke near the 1400 metres losing ground after driver S Ottley activated the hopple shorteners. Over-raced middle stages. Held up early and middle stages of the run home. Driver S Ottley reported she did not activate the removable deafeners in consequence.
MARTIN JOHN - over-raced early stages when being restrained to obtain cover. Locked wheels with SHARDS IN MANHATTAN rounding the final bend resulting in both runners losing ground. Stewards questioned drivers R Close (MARTIN JOHN) and S O'Reilly (SHARDS IN MANHATTAN) regarding this incident and after hearing from both drivers and viewing the replays Stewards deemed no horse or driver was at fault and accordingly took the matter no further.
BETSTARS BLUE JEAN - out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Hampered by a breaking runner near the 1400 metres. Weakened final bend.
SKIDADDLE - driver T Williams reported he did not activate the removable deafeners due to having the field covered.
Race 8   FIRST DIRECT TAXIS MOBILE PACE
LECONTE - held up final bend.
UNCHANGED MEMORY - over-raced middle stages. Paced roughly near the 900 metres losing ground. The connections advised the removable deafeners were not activated due to the gelding contacting a knee and pacing roughly. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
MOODY RIVER - held up final bend and in the early and middle stages of the run home. Stewards questioned driver R Close regarding the tactics he adopted from the 900 metres when electing to shift inwards. Mr Close explained the gelding had been caught wide during the middle stages in previous starts and had failed to run on and, due to UNCHANGED MEMORY pacing roughly, he elected to shift inwards to save ground. Mr Close added he had attempted to follow ITZ TO THE MACS rounding the final bend however that runner had been held up when MACH'S ELIMINATOR shifted wider on the track resulting in him being disappointed for a run. Stewards were satisfied that Mr Close's tactics were not unreasonable in the circumstances and took the matter no further.
SHERWOOD MAGGIE - weakened leaving the final bend.
TALIESIN - the chin rest detached from the gelding in the early stages and hung loose.
GREENBACK BOOGIE - raced wide early stages.
ROSIES TERROR - out of position at the candy pole despite the efforts of driver S O'Reilly. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Raced wide early stages. Miss O'Reilly reported she was unable to activate the removable deafeners due to the cord becoming entangled.
