Race 6 - MCKNIGHT & BROWN MOBILE PACE
Junior Driver M Hurrell (assisted by C Ferguson) defended a charge in that he failed to take all reasonable and permissible measures between the 1600 metres and 1100 metres to ensure that his horse JODY DIREEN was given full opportunity to win or obtain the best possible finishing position. After hearing the evidence and viewing the films, the JCA found the charge proved and suspended Mr Hurrell's licence from the close of racing on 1 July up to and including 11 July 2021 (5 days).

Race 1   ICON INTERIOR CONSTRUCTION LTD HANDICAP TROT
EILISH HALL - broke shortly after the start losing ground. Lay inwards on the bends. Over-raced middle stages. Held up for clear racing room in the early and middle stages of the home straight.
CLASSIC ROCK N ROLL - the required Veterinary clearance was received. Broke at the start losing all chance. Driver S Tomlinson reported the mare had shied at the barrier strand being activated causing it to break.
PEARLSPUR - hampered by a breaking runner leaving the final bend.
PETRONELLI GEE - hampered by a breaking runner leaving the final bend. Held up for clear racing room in the early and middle stages of the home straight.
KIWI HEIR - broke at the start losing ground. Broke again leaving the final bend hampering trailing runners. A warning was placed on the racing record of the mare.
MAJESTIC ROLLON - over-raced through the middle stages when in the parked position.
BARHAM BELLE - hampered by a breaking runner leaving the final bend.
CODY BANNER - improved wide in the middle stages and trotted roughly before breaking passing the 900 metres losing ground. Continued to trot roughly from the 800 metres. Authorisation of 3rd place was withheld until Stewards were satisfied the gelding had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation.
Race 2   ALABAR MOBILE PACE
MAGICAL STAR - weakened final bend.
THE ARTFUL DODGER - over-raced early and middle stages.
MALDITO - raced wide in the early stages until reaching the parked position near the 2100 metres. Weakened from the 700 metres. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities. A warning was placed on the gelding's performance.
DARE TO DEFY - weakened final bend. Underwent a post-race Veterinary examination after returning to the stables with blood present in its mouth which revealed a laceration to its tongue. Stood down pending a Veterinary clearance prior to resuming.
FOURTH AMENDMENT - weakened final bend.
RIN TIN TIN - hung inwards final bend and raced greenly. Paced roughly in the middle stages of the home straight.
Race 3   GRAEME ANDERSON RACING STABLES MOBILE PACE
ELLZ ANGEL - underwent a pre-race Veterinary examination after not having started for a considerable period of time and was cleared to start. Trainer B McLellan was warned for being late to notify the mare would be racing with removable deafeners. Out of position at the start. Driver B McLellan was issued with a warning. Held up for clear racing room in the early and middle stages of the home straight.
MATAI CHARLOTTE - Driver A Milne was spoken to advisedly for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the middle stages of the home straight.
SLY TRICKS - raced three wide without cover from the 800 metres before being forced four wide from the 550 metres.
SOUTHERN STARR - over-raced middle stages.
Race 4   MOYLES FRESH CHOICE GREEN ISLAND HANDICAP TROT
RUBY SEDDON - broke briefly shortly after the start losing some ground with a warning being placed on the mare's barrier record. Trotted roughly throughout the home straight. Driver N Williamson advised that he did not activate the removable deafeners in consequence.
DENN NEE'S SISTER - broke passing the 1100 metres losing all chance, hampering a trailing runner.
GIRLS LET LOOSE - lay in throughout the home straight.
CRUSHER COLLINS - hampered passing the 1100 metres by a breaking runner.
Race 5   STEPHANIE ANDERSON EQUINE VET & MVC MOBILE PACE
WOLF WEST - was under pressure final bend.
FOUR STARZZZ SHIRAZ - out of position at the start despite the efforts of Driver D O'Connell. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Mr O'Connell advised he was unable to activate the removable deafeners due to the cord becoming entangled.
BEAUTY BARRY - paced roughly in the score up and was out of position at dispatch. A warning was placed on the gelding's barrier record.
MUCHO MACHO MAN - the gelding raced without the removable deafeners due to the gear being unable to being applied prior to the start.
DODGETHEBULLET - Trainer A Hoffman was issued with a Minor Infringement notice and fined $100 for presenting the gelding without the notified removable deafeners which were applied prior to the start. Junior Driver S Tomlinson admitted using her whip with more than a wrist flicking motion leaving the final bend and in the early stages of the home straight with the Adjudicative Committee imposing a fine of $200.
Race 6   MASTER MOOD VS MALAZ & OTHER MAGIC MEMORIES MOBILE PACE
MACH O'MELLEY - weakened from the 600 metres.
KERALA STAR - Driver B Williamson admitted using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the early stages with the Adjudicative Committee suspending Mr Williamson's licence from the conclusion of racing on 8 July up to and including 15 July 2021 (3 days).
UNICO GEM - when spoken to regarding the improved performance Driver B Orange explained that the mare had been suited to being driven with one run due to the strong tempo of the race and he had been advised the horse was training well in preparation for the race.
IDEAL ASSET - held up by weakening runner from the 600 metres.
Race 7   WOODLANDS STUD MOBILE PACE
SNEAK A PEEK - crowded by an outside runner rounding the first bend and into the back straight.
ARLO MAGUIRE - lay inwards in the early stages of the home straight.
AVEROSS RUSTLER - weakened final bend. Driver W Low was warned for the manner he drove rounding the bend and into the back straight on the first occasion when crowding an inside runner.
LUCYS DELIGHT - over-raced early while being restrained to take cover.
