MATAI LOUIS - over-raced during the score up and then raced fiercely over the early stages when having to be restrained off the back of FATHER QUINN which was being eased to attempt to secure a position in the running line, which resulted in contact being made to FATHER QUINN's sulky. Raced wide until obtaining the parked position at the 1500m. Driver P Ferguson advised that he was unable to activate the removable deafeners due to the activation cord working loose. Mr Ferguson will be spoken to regarding using his whip free of the rein in the middle stages of the run home. | |

BE MY ROSE - raced wide in the early stages before improving to the parked position at the 1750m. Driver C Hackett reported that she was unable to activate the hopple shortener due to the release ring shifting out of arms reach but felt this did not impact on the mare's performance. | |

MIGHTY MONICA - when questioned regarding the performance Driver T Mitchell reported that the early effort to lead had taken its toll and the mare had come to the end of its run near 100m. | |
TOODALOOLOU - hung inwards racing into the first bend and made contact with the off front leg of TICKING OVER which was racing keenly. Driver M McKendry reported that he sustained a flat tyre in this incident. | |
MAHIA - paced roughly over the final stages. When questioned regarding the seemingly improved performance, the connections reported that the horse had encountered several hard runs in its recent races and because of this they had made alterations to the gelding's training program subsequent to its last start. | |
JACCKA COOPER - Trainer G Rogerson was issued with a warning for presenting the gelding without the notified blinds. The blinds were affixed prior to the start. Paced roughly throughout and in particular early in the run home. Driver D Ferguson was spoken to advisedly in the manner that he used his whip in the run home. | |
