FOUR STARZZZ SHIRAZ - over-raced middle stages. Held up passing the 600 metres.
AVEROSS RUSTLER - raced wide in the early stages until reaching the parked position near the 1400 metres. Weakened final bend. Driver G Thornley was shown a replay and advised to show better judgement after failing to ease FOUR STARZZZ SHIRAZ down the track when having an opportunity to do so passing the 1600 metres.
VIN SCULLY - made contact with the mobile arm in the early stages of the score up causing it to break however the gelding was able to start from the correct position. Hung inwards rounding the first bend striking track markers. Over-raced in the middle stages. Weakened from the 600 metres. When questioned regarding the performance Driver E Barron advised the gelding had over-raced in the straights and had hung inwards badly round the bends causing her difficulty. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be lame in a hind leg. Stood down pending a Veterinary clearance prior to resuming.
