Pre-race blood testing was carried out.

Driver T Sissons advised he was unable to fulfill his driving engagement in Race 1 due to being unwell and was replaced as per the summary below.

Driver T McMillan advised he was unable to fulfill his driving engagement in Race 5 due to injury and was replaced as per the summary below. Mr McMillan was advised that he must supply a medical clearance prior to resuming driving.

Due to flight delays, drivers S Tomlinson, S Ottley and B Orange were unable to fulfill their driving commitments until Race 7 and were replaced as per the summary below.

Race 8 - SOUTH ISLAND SEED DRESSING & STORAGE PACE
Driver L McCormick (MISSMOLLYGOODGOLLY) admitted a breach of the Push Out Rule in that he shifted outwards near the 1100 metres forcing DELIGHTFUL GLORIA to race wider on the track. After hearing submissions on penalty, the JCA suspended Mr McCormick's licence from the conclusion of racing on 27 June up to and including 4 July 2021 (2 days).

Stable representative J Dunn advised Stewards on 18 June that blood tests taken from AIMEE'S FIRST MEDDLE revealed no abnormalities with the filly continuing with her current preparation.

Race 1   MID-WINTER AT ADDINGTON (AMATEUR DRIVERS) MOBILE PACE
AUCHTERCAIRN - held up by a weakening runner on the final bend. Driver M McIntyre admitted a breach of Rule 869(2) and the Whip & Rein Regulations for using her whip with more than a wrist flicking motion on the final bend and in the home straight. After viewing the films and hearing penalty submissions the JCA suspended her licence from the conclusion of racing today up to and including 1 August 2021 (6 weeks).
LYDIA - R Sissons was an authorised driver change replacing T Sissons who was unwell. Weakened final bend.
UNFAZED - checked and broke after 100 metres when racing to the inside of MYRCELLA and PETE'S DASH losing all chance and was retired from the race. Stewards questioned drivers S Murtha (UNFAZED), J Buckland-Stevens (MYRCELLA) assisted by J Cox and C Negus (PETE'S DASH) regarding this incident. After viewing the replays and hearing from all parties, Stewards adjourned the matter for further consideration.
MYRCELLA - driver J Buckland-Stevens will be spoken to regarding the manner she used her whip in the home straight.
FRANCO HOFFMAN - over-raced in the early stages when being restrained in an attempt to obtain cover. Continued to over-race in the middle stages. Driver S Wigg admitted a breach of Rule 869(2) and the Whip & Rein Regulations for using her whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the home straight. After viewing the films and hearing penalty submissions, the JCA suspended her licence from the conclusion of racing today up to and including 20 August 2021 (2 months).
DREAMINSOVER - driver C Wigg reported she dropped her whip inside the final 100 metres.
PETE'S DASH - raced wide without cover from the 1300 metres. Weakened final bend.
FLAMBOYANT - raced wide early stages.
JENABELLA - checked after 100 metres losing all chance and was retired from the race.
Driver J Buckland-Stevens (MYRCELLA) was warned for using her whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the early stages of the run home.
Stewards have concluded an investigation into an incident shortly after the start where UNFAZED (S Murtha) was checked and broke when racing to the inside of MYRCELLA (J Buckland-Stevens) and PETE'S DASH (C Negus). After considering evidence obtained from all parties and reviewing the replays, Stewards were unable to apportion full blame to any one horse or driver and took the matter no further other than to note the circumstances.
Race 2   $16 ICONIC KIWI ROAST AT SPECTATORS MOBILE PACE
UNCHANGED MEMORY - held up over the concluding stages. Driver K Cameron reported the removable deafeners were not activated in consequence.
STELLA'S DELIGHT - over-raced when being restrained to obtain cover near the 700 metres.
GREENBACK BOOGIE - S O'Reilly was an authorised driver change replacing B Orange due to transport difficulties. The boring pole came adrift after 100 metres and hung loose during the running. This gear was inspected and found to be in previously good condition. Checked near the 900 metres. When spoken to regarding the performance driver S O'Reilly advised the horse had lost concentration after being checked.
THE ARTFUL DODGER - over-raced when racing wide in the early stages. Checked near the 900 metres.
MACH'S ELIMINATOR - over-raced middle stages. Broke near the 900 metres checking trailing runners. A warning was placed on the racing record of the mare.
CONQUISTADOR - paced roughly near the 600 metres losing ground and again in the home straight.
ADHARA - checked near the 900 metres.
Race 3   AIRPARK CANTERBURY FILLIES & MARES TROT
ALI LINDENNY - trotted roughly rounding the first bend losing ground which enabled SAMANTHAS MOON to shift ground inwards ahead of the mare. Driver B Butt was spoken to advisedly for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the early stages of the home straight.
ZSAHARA - A Tomlinson was an authorised driver change replacing S Tomlinson due to transport difficulties. Broke at the start. losing all chance.
ALVIRA HEST - lay inwards and struck track markers passing the 1100 metres.
CALL THIS FUN - late scratching at 12.40pm on veterinary advice however the Veterinarian advised a stand down period was not applicable.
UNIQUE ROSE - C DeFilippi was an authorised driver change replacing B Orange due to transport difficulties.
BELLA BUTTON - weakened from the 500 metres
SOUTH PARK - lay inwards and struck a track marker on the final bend.
MAJESTIC UPSTART - slow to begin. Broke after 100 metres losing all chance.
Race 4   LAMB & HAYWARD MOBILE PACE
BETTOR BEONTOIT - R Close was an authorised driver change replacing S Ottley due to transport difficulties. Broke in the score up however was in position at dispatch. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
HONOUR SCROLL - raced wide early stages before being restrained to the rear of the field.
ARTATAC - R May was an authorised driver change replacing B Orange due to transport difficulties.
THE OPTIMIST - raced wide early stages.
MAGIC SIGN - G O'Reilly was an authorised driver change replacing S Tomlinson due to transport difficulties. Trainer G Court was issued a warning for failing to have mudguards fitted.
Race 5   AVON CITY FORD TROT
MY MOMENT'S NOW - broke at the start losing considerable ground. Weakened from the 800 metres.
STEEL DUST - G O'Reilly was an authorised driver change replacing T McMillan due to injury.
BRIGHT GLOW - broke after 150 metres.
SIOUX PRINCESS -S O'Reilly was an authorised driver change replacing S Ottley due to transport difficulties. Broke briefly at the start.

WATCHING OUR COIN - broke after 100 metres.
BLACK LACE - backed away just prior to the start and was slow to begin. Driver J Versteeg was spoken to advisedly for using his whip free of the rein on one occasion in the early stages of the home straight.
VINCENT VEGA - broke at the start.
FRANCO HATTON - held up early stages of the run home.
FULL OF DESIRE - broke racing into the first bend losing considerable ground. Stood down to trial satisfactorily on one occasion.
PIECE OF GOLD - driver R Cameron admitted a breach of Rule 869(2) and the Whip & Rein Regulations for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the home straight. After viewing the films and hearing penalty submissions the JCA imposed a fine of $500.
MISS MARKLE - late scratching at 11.30am due to track conditions.
GLITZ AND GLAM - driver M Purvis was spoken to advisedly for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the early stages of the run home.
EXPRESSIVE LOVE - G O'Reilly was an authorised driver change replacing S Tomlinson due to transport difficulties.

TOWN ECHO - driver J Dunn reported the sliding blinds were not activated due to having the field covered.
IDEALINDREAMS - when questioned regarding the performance trainer S Dolan advised he was disappointed with the effort. Stewards will follow up the recovery of the mare with Mr Dolan in the coming days.
Trainer S Dolan advised Stewards on 24 June that IDEALINDREAMS was found to be suffering from feet soreness following its performance on 20 June and been sent for a spell.
Race 8   VERO TROT
SMUDGEE - driver P Borcoskie was spoken to advisedly for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the middle stages of the home straight.
ONE TWO MENNY - fractious prior to the start. Began awkwardly. Broke near the 2200 metres losing ground. Over-raced middle stages. Hampered near the 900 metres. Trotted roughly and weakened leaving the final bend.
THAT'S THE STORY - over-raced middle stages. Hampered near the 900 metres. Held up for clear racing room until late in the run home.
ARRAN CHIEF - driver A Faulks was spoken to advisedly for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the early stages of the run home.
UNIQUE MARSHALL - broke passing the 900 metres hampering trailing runners.
BOURBON ON THE ROCKS - trotted roughly passing the 1400 metres. Hampered near the 900 metres. Driver J Versteeg was spoken to advisedly for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home.
