SHEZA ROSE - briefly hampered by a breaking runner shortly after the start.
Race 6   CAMBRIDGE HOMES HANDICAP TROT
MAJESTIC HARRY - broke shortly after the start but soon settled.
OUR GRACIE - broke at the start losing ground.
AS FREE AS AIR - broke passing the 400m losing all chance. Drivers L Whittaker (AS FREE AS AIR) and J Abernethy (THE HULK) were questioned in relation to this incident and it was established that Mr Whittaker had commenced to improve to the inside of THE HULK which had been eased inwards by the improving SHE REIGNS and became awkwardly placed close to the sulky of THE HULK before breaking. After considering their explanation, Stewards took the matter no further other than to remind Mr Whittaker of his obligations given similar circumstances in future.
Race 7   DUNSTAN HORSE FEEDS MOBILE PACE
ARMED REACTOR - slow to leave the pre-race circle and paced roughly before over- racing late in the score up. Broke shortly after the start settling at the rear, losing a shin boot in the gallop. The start was delayed due to the gear on DRUM WITHERS having to be adjusted.
PLATINUM - weakened over the concluding stages. Raced well below market expectation when finishing in 6th place beaten 9.8 lengths. When questioned regarding the performance Driver T Cameron reported that he was disappointed with the effort and could offer no explanation. A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
ROMANEE - showed early speed to lead before being taken on by STARRY STAR passing the 2000m and was then eased to trail near the 1700m. Commenced to weaken final bend finishing at the rear. When questioned regarding the manner in which he drove in the early stages D Ferguson explained that from a favourable barrier draw he had been intent on maintaining the lead after being challenged by STARRY STAR given that mare's moderate form line however had been unable to muster enough speed. Mr Ferguson further stated for this reason he elected to shift out off STARRY STAR's back approaching the 1000m as he had expected the early effort on a strong tempo to take its toll on that runner which would have caused his horse to become held up. After considering the matter Stewards were of the opinion that Mr Ferguson's tactics were not so unreasonable given the circumstances as to be culpable and no further action was deemed necessary.
EMMI ROSE - held up final bend.
IT'S A LAUGH - Trainer S Dickson was warned for not having the correct colours available.
Race 9   HIRE A ROOM AT THE CR HANDICAP TROT
