A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Trainer P Nairn advised that the colt may not have benefitted from an increased workload coming into the event. | |

LEAF STRIDE - raced keenly throughout the score up and got its head up over the gate before breaking at the start losing its chance. This gelding was placed on the Unruly for future mobile starts. | |
TIME UP THE HILL - raced wide early and middle stages. Weakened final bend. When questioned regarding the filly's performance, Driver K Barron stated that his runner had not been entirely comfortable in the conditions. The connections advised it was their intention to now spell the horse. | |

Drivers J Cox (FRANCO MAC) and Z Butcher (MONTANA D J) were questioned regarding an incident rounding the first turn where MONTANA D J shifted ground outwards when racing to the inside of FRANCO MAC. It was established that FRANCO MAC had tended to lay out when Mr Cox was attempting to shift the gelding down into the running line and had not been forced wider in this movement and no further action was deemed necessary. | |

AKUTA - raced roughly in the early stages having to be restrained. Driver M Purdon reported that he elected not to release the hopple shorteners. Mr Purdon also advised that he did not release the removeable deafeners. | |
COSMIC MAJOR - over-raced near the 1250m and made contact with the sulky wheel of YOU'RE SO FINE despite the efforts of driver N Rasmussen. Raced wide from the 1050m. Ms Rasmussen advised that due to not receiving a run she did not activate the removable deafeners. | |
