Race 5 - SOUTHERN MOTOR GROUP MOBILE TROT
Stewards spoke with Driver R Allen (COUNT EYRE) regarding the manner he drove inside the final 400 metres. Mr Allen explained that the gelding had broken in recent starts on the final bend and for this reason he was reluctant to place his runner under any significant pressure. Mr Allen added that the horse continued to trot roughly in the home straight and was obliged to steady the horse to maintain its gait. Stewards noted Mr Allen's comments.
