Stable representative J Dunn advised Stewards on 2 June that blood tests taken from LITTLE MISS PERFECT revealed no abnormalities with the mare continuing with her current preparation.

Race 1   BUS TO THE IRT JEWELS FROM ALEXANDRA PARK MOB PACE
PRODIGAL PETE - driver S Wigg was questioned regarding the manner in which she drove passing the 900 metres when MIGHTY MONICA had been able to shift down in front of PRODIGAL PETE to trail the leader ACE STRIKE. Ms Wigg explained that the pace had increased markedly when MIGHTY MONICA improved forward to race on terms with ACE STRIKE and that her gelding had been unable to quicken sufficiently to hold ACE STRIKE's back despite her efforts. After considering Ms Wigg's explanation Stewards took the matter no further other than to remind her to ensure that she drives in such a manner that leaves no room for query given similar circumstances in the future.
MIGHTY MONICA - over-raced early and middle stages before being able to shift down and trail the leader ACE STRIKE near the 800 metres. Driver A Fitzgerald was warned for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion late in run home.
SWEET TREAT - slow to score up and then broke losing all chance. A warning was placed on the filly's mobile barrier manners.
Race 2   AGNESS HEADING TO TVNZ MOBILE PACE
ARDEN VELOCITY - driver Z Butcher was spoken to advisedly for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home.
WHAREWHITI - lay in over the early stages before breaking entering the first turn and settled towards the rear.
IDEAL FUNDING - over-raced middle stages when being eased after unsuccessfully contesting for the lead. Driver M McKendry was placed at some disadvantage approaching the 1000 metres by the trailing BROTHER JOHN.
HECTOR - lay in and contacted marker pegs rounding the final turn. Driver S Phelan was spoken to advisedly for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home.
JONO B - raced greenly approaching the 700 metres when at the rear losing ground.
BROTHER JOHN - paced roughly inside the 400 metres when at the rear. Driver K Newman, assisted by N Williamson, was spoken to advisedly regarding the manner in which he drove approaching the 1000 metres when getting over the back of IDEAL FUNDING's sulky on several occasions when there had been an easing of the pace. In considering the matter Stewards took into account that BROTHER JOHN had been racing keenly on the slow tempo.
BETYAHAVTIME - hampered after an easing of the pace near the 1000 metres. Driver L Hollis is to be spoken to in relation to using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home.
Race 3   GOOD LUCK HENNA MOBILE PACE
CHASE THE GOLD - when questioned regarding the performance driver K Newman stated that the gelding had peaked on its run inside the final 100 metres in what was its first race back from a spell.
BE MY ROSE - raced three wide early before being able to shift KERRI MAGUIRE down to the marker line near the 1700 metres. Driver N Delany will be spoken to in the coming days with regard to the distance over which this maneuver was carried out.
EASTANBULL - over-raced middle stages when trailing the leader. Lay out throughout the run home. Connections advised that the gelding cast its near fore shoe during the running.
KOWHAI PARK - raced three wide early and middle stages before improving to sit parked near the 1300 metres.
MAILMAN - driver L Whittaker, assisted by S Phelan, was cautioned for allowing this horse to shift inwards under driving from the 100 metres before being corrected just prior to the winning post.
ROUGH AND READY - held up final turn and in the early stages of the run home. Held up again just short of the winning post.
Race 4   DAVID CYCLING ON MOBILE PACE
CASHLODO FLYBYE - when questioned regarding the improved performance Driver B Butcher stated that the mare had been able to capitalise on a good run throughout by using the passing lane.
HESASHORETHING - paced roughly down the back straight the final time and when being taken back by the weakening LORD VERDE rounding the final turn. A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormality.
LORD VERDE - improved three wide without cover from the 1450 metres but was obliged to remain three wide when Driver J Abernethy (HESASHORETHING) elected to hold the parked position. Driver T Herlihy then briefly attempted to shift down onto that runner's back near the 1100 metres before being taken back out to a three wide position. LORD VERDE was then able to cross to race outside the leader passing the 600 metres before commencing to weaken on the final turn. Locked sulky stays briefly with ROCKET BOY(AUS) passing the 350 metres.
EZANA - broke shortly after the start losing its chance. A warning was placed on the gelding's mobile barrier manners.
KEISHA - raced three wide from the 1400 metres before weakening on the final turn to finish at the rear. When questioned regarding the performance Driver J Dunn advised that the filly will probably return to the South Island. A post race veterinary examination revealed some blood present in the trachea. Stewards will follow up with Trainer R Dunn in the coming days.
ROCKET BOY(AUS) - locked sulky stays briefly with LORD VERDE passing the 350 metes before failing to run on to finish in 9th place beaten 18.6 lengths. A post race veterinary examination revealed some blood present in the trachea. Stewards will follow up with Trainer J Young in the coming days.
JOHN WAYNE - raced three wide with cover from near the 1400 metres.
Stable representative J Dunn advised Stewards on 13 June that KEISHA has recovered well from its last start and will continue with its current preparation in the Canterbury region.
Race 5   CHURCH ROAD WINES HANDICAP TROT
STILL EYRE - commenced to give ground near the 400 metres.
IN SEQUENCE - held up rounding the final turn.
KIMKAR DASH - lay in and contacted several marker pegs near the 1250 metres.
WOODSTONE - had to be steadied near the 1500 metres and raced three wide briefly after IN SEQUENCE had improved out from the marker line. It was established that Driver S Phelan (IN SEQUENCE) had commenced his outward movement prior to WOODSTONE covering his sulky wheel and no further action was deemed necessary.
Race 6   LONE STAR ALEXANDRA PARK HANDICAP PACE
LAST TANGO IN HEAVEN - swung outwards at the start and broke briefly. Commenced to lay out after improving to the lead near the 1300 metres. Lay out further when rounding the final turn despite the efforts of Driver T Herlihy and shifted up the track. Continued to lay out throughout the run home.
COMIC BOOK HERO - raced clear in the lead over the early and middle stages.
DOC HOLLIDAY - broke at the start losing considerable ground.
OHOKA ACHILLES - driver O Gillies was spoken to advisedly regarding the manner in which he drove passing the 1600 metres which resulted in CRUZEE MACH being hampered briefly before being eased to trail OHOKA ACHILLES.
SUPERBASS - raced three wide without cover from the 1050 metres and lay in when attempting to improve. Lay in again when weakening rounding the final turn.
FOLKLORE - driver M White reported that the offside deafener failed to release.
J BEE - held up final turn. Stumbled passing the winning post after racing over the final peg when in restricted room to the inside of OHOKA ACHILLES.
DANCE TIME - raced three wide with cover from the 1050 metres.
Race 7   STEINLAGER TOKYO DRY HANDICAP TROT
I SEE FIRE - lay in at various stages.
FULL OF HOPE - shifted out on straightening for the run home.
SAINT MICHEL - broke at the start before settling at the rear. Held up from the 100 metres and as a result Driver B Hope did not activate the deafeners.
MAJESTIC HANOVER - broke passing the 300 metres losing its chance.
Race 8   THE ALEX BAR & EATERY MOBILE PACE
WE HAVE A MACH TWO - had difficulty obtaining clear running over the final stages.
CAPTAIN NEMO - raced three wide early and middle stages before crossing to the parked position approaching the 1400 metres.
LOUIE THE PUNTER - raced three wide early.
BLITZEMBYE - broke late in the score up losing ground before settling at the rear. It was subsequently established that the deafener hood had come adrift during the score up and no further action was taken other than to note the circumstances. Raced three wide from the 1200 metres.
BANKERS GOLD - unable to secure clear running over the final stages.
YOROKOBI - had to shift ground outwards to obtain clear running early in the home straight.
LYNTON CREEK - weakened in the run home.
Race 9   ALABAR FILLIES & MARES MOBILE PACE
WET FLIPFLOPS - driver T Mitchell was cautioned for using his whip free of the rein on one occasion passing the 250 metres. Paced roughly early in the run home.
LETSGODANCING - paced roughly rounding the home turn when at the rear.
THE MISSING SOCK - broke in the early stages of the score up hampering WILLSHEROCKNROLL and was retired from the event. A warning was placed on the filly's mobile barrier manners.
WILLSHEROCKNROLL - hampered in the score up by the breaking THE MISSING SOCK and was back several lengths from its Unruly position at dispatch. Lay out at various stages and in particular when attempting to improve three wide down the back straight the last time and rounding the final turn. The all clear was withheld to enable Stewards to view the replays of the start and question Driver S Abernethy. It was established that although WILLSHEROCKNROLL had been hampered prior to the start it had not materially prejudiced the filly's chances given that this runner was always going to settle back from its Unruly position. Mr Abernethy was subsequently cautioned for using his whip free of the rein on various occasions leaving the back straight and rounding the home turn. In considering this matter Stewards took into account Mr Abernethy's explanation that he had been placed at a considerable disadvantage by WILLSHEROCKNROLL laying out however he was advised that a repeat may well see greater action taken against him. Trainer A Matthews advised that she would look to make a corrective gear change prior to the filly next racing.
Race 10   AUCKLAND CO-OP TAXIS 300-3000 HANDICAP TROT
CYCLONE LEBRON - briefly delayed the start when backing away when initially called forward into line. Lay in contacting marker pegs near the 950 metres. Lay in rounding the final turn and then weakened in the run home finishing at the rear. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days regarding the performance.
SOLEDAD - lay in and contacted several marker pegs near the 1250 metres. Broke under pressure passing the 60 metres and failed to settle. Disqualified from 5th placing by the JCA for breaking in excess of 50 metres in the final 200 metres.
PHOEBE MAJESTIC - broke near the 1400 metres settling at the rear. Authorisation of this runner's 4th placing was briefly withheld until it was confirmed that the filly had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation.
DOLLY P - approval was given for the boring pole to be removed prior to the start. Broke passing the 1500 metres losing considerable ground.
LOVE AND FAITH - driver M Teaz was cautioned for using her whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the early stages of the run home.
THANK YOU - lay inwards losing ground near the 1400 metres. Continued to lay in rounding the turns.
CEPHEUS - hampered by the breaking SOLEDAD late in the run home.
CYCLONE LEBRON - Co-trainer P Blanchard advised Stewards on 11 June that the mare had recovered normally following the run but had been turned out for a brief spell.
