Waikouaiti TC - Sunday, 28th February 2021
Race 12 - WAIKOUAITI AUTO & ENGINEERING/YARDLEY LO MOB PACE
Junior Driver M Hurrell (ULTIMATE SASSENACH) with the assistance of Driver J Cox admitted a breach of Rule 869(3)(g) in that he drove in a manner capable of diminishing his horses chances by failing to ease his drive on three occasions during the race prior to the 800 metres, which would thereby enable the mare to finish off the race in the most competitive manner possible. After viewing replays and hearing evidence from the Stewards, Drivers M Hurrell and J Cox the Judicial Committee imposed a suspension of Mr Hurrell's licence to drive from 9 May up to and including 21 May 2021 (7 days).
Winton HRC - Friday, 23rd April 2021
Race 10 - JIM McCONNELL / VIE OVERTON MEMORIAL MOBILE PACE
Driver N Williamson (IDEALISM) defended a charge pursuant to Rule 869(7A)(a)&(b) in that he allowed this gelding to shift inside track markers in the home straight and thereby gain a run to which he was not entitled. After viewing the replays and hearing evidence from the Stewards, Drivers N Williamson and A Beck (BLACK OPS) the Judicial Committee reserved their decision.
