Trainer D Taylor advised Stewards on 11 April that SCOTLYNN BEACH BOY has recovered well following its performance at Motukarara on Monday and will continue with its current preparation.

Stable representative S Tomlinson advised Stewards on 11 April that MONGOLIAN CONQUEROR has been treated for a cough subsequent to racing at Motukarara on Monday.

Race 8 - LIVAMOL NEW ZEALAND TROTTING DERBY (MOBILE TROT)
Junior driver B Hope (who declined the assistance of a senior driver) admitted a breach of the Push Out Rule when driving EUROKASH in that he shifted outwards approaching the 1600 metres forcing SON OF PATRICK wider on the track. After viewing the replays and hearing submissions on penalty, the JCA imposed a fine of $500.

TRIXTON TIME - trotted roughly in the early stages.
SAMANTHA BEE - broke passing the 200 metres.
TAHIR TROUBLE - broke after 100 metres hampering trailing runners and losing all chance.
THAT'S ENTERTAINMENT - driver J Harrington was spoken to advisedly for using his whip free of the rein on one occasion after 200 metres.
TOOBUSY BEING FAMOUS - broke shortly after the start. Broke again after 250 metres.
BRANDY AND DRY - broke briefly at the start before breaking again shortly after. Raced wide without cover from the 1000 metres.

DALNESS FIRST - when spoken to regarding the improved performance stable representative B Hope advised the mare had raced without luck in recent starts and had been suited by the shorter distance of today's race.
KENNEDY - broke passing the 200 metres and continued on in a break until the finish line hampering trailing runners. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
BUCKINGHAM - broke at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Had some difficulty obtaining clear racing room in the home straight. Driver M Williamson reported he had not activated the removable deafeners.

MALDITO - fractious in the score up being in position at the start.

MANHATTAN - when questioned regarding the performance driver J Dunn was unable to provide any explanation other than to advise he was disappointed with the effort.
DR KANANGA - raced wide early stages and hung inwards rounding the first bend crowding SHEEZAGOLDENGIRL. Weakened final bend. When questioned regarding the performance driver J Morrison advised the gelding had been striking the sulky wheels throughout. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.
MAJOR COLLECT - struck a pylon passing the 1200 metres which was dislodged hampering trailing runner.
ASHES OF DESIRE - out of position at the start. Driver M Smolenski was issued a $100 Minor Infringement Notice. Paced roughly and broke briefly near the 1200 metres after shying at a dislodged track marker. Driver M Smolenski admitted using his whip free of the rein in the home straight and the JCA imposed a fine of $200.
SHEEZAGOLDENGIRL - crowded on the first bend when DR KANANGA hung inwards. Raced wide early and middle stages.
Race 4   HAPPY 21ST BIRTHDAY KIPP ROSS PACE
ANTOINETTE - held up early stages of the run home.
TOTAL ECLIPSE - broke at the start losing considerable ground. Had some difficulty obtaining clear racing room in the home straight.
CALI FRANCO - lay inwards for the majority of the run home.
HEAVEN HELPUS - hung outwards near the 500 metres and had to be steadied after becoming awkwardly placed close to the sulky of ANTOINETTE. When spoken to regarding the performance trainer/driver G Smith reported he had difficulty steering the filly throughout and would be making a gear change and removing the rein pricker prior to its next start.
JONTY'S BROTHER - hung inwards racing into the first bend and struck and dislodged track markers. Hung inwards throughout the run home.
TAURUS - paced roughly in the early stages.
PURE COURAGE - broke at the start.

SILVERLININGS - broke at the start losing all chance.
MAJESTIC ROLLON - broke shortly after the start losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
GO MARG - driver S Tomlinson reported she sustained a flat sulky tyre after 250 metres.
THIS TIME GAMBLE - trotted roughly after 250 metres when making contact with the sulky wheel of GO MARG after a slight easing of the pace. When questioned regarding the performance driver J Dunn was unable to provide any explanation other than to advise he was disappointed with the effort.
SUPERFAST GORSEY - trotted roughly after 250 metres after a slight easing of the pace.
HARBOUR QUEEN - broke at the start.
BREAK FREE - fractious prior to the start.
ROYAL DEL - when questioned regarding the improved performance driver S Thornley advised that the gelding had broken at its last start after he had activated the removable deafeners when in a prominent position and had benefited from a gear change of fixed deafeners today. Mr Thornley added that the horse had been working well and he had been confident of a forward showing today.
DD'S SUPER STUART - briefly hampered after 250 metres after a slight easing of the pace. Broke leaving the final bend.
READY I AM - raced wide early until getting to the parked position near the 1100 metres. Driver P Wakelin was warned for using her whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the home straight.
Race 6   JONNY COX RACING STABLES MOBILE PACE
PETE'S DASH - held up early stages of the run home.
PLAYBOY PRINCE - a false start was declared after the mobile arm contacted PLAYBOY PRINCE in the score up causing the gelding to break.
TIMES ARE A CHANGIN - raced wide throughout.
PROSPECT PARK - raced wide early stages.
SPICY GIRL BECQUI - raced wide early stages. Weakened leaving the final bend. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a slow recovery. Stewards will follow up the recovery in the coming days.
RICK REILLY - paced roughly at the start. Raced wide with cover throughout.
PRESIDENT PAT - hung outwards and paced roughly in the home straight. Trainer/driver N Burton reported he was unable to activate the removable deafeners due to the cord becoming entangled.
CHANGEOVER JO - hung inwards rounding the first bend striking track markers.

Race 7   WOODLANDS MOUNT HUTT PACING CUP (HCP PACE)
NO NUKES SKIPPER - broke at the start.
LAST OF THE MOHICANS - broke at the start losing considerable ground. Placed on the unruly for future standing starts. Trainer L Hanrahan advised he would be restricting the gelding to mobile starts in the immediate future.
SHE'S TOUGH - paced roughly near the 200 metres and held up middle stages of the run home.
BUCKSKIN - broke at the start. Placed on the unruly for future standing starts. Briefly crowded near the 100 metres and paced roughly.
DHAULAGIRI - broke at the start.
HOMEBUSH LAD - broke at the start.
DODGETHEBULLET - trainer A Hoffman was issued a warning for presenting DODGETHEBULLET without the notified blinds. Over-raced middle stages. Paced roughly final bend. Held up for clear racing room until late in the run home.
MIKEY MAGUIRE - when questioned regarding the improved performance trainer F Fletcher advised that the gelding had appreciated a drop back in class from its last start and the extra distance of today's race. Mr Fletcher added that he had increased the gelding's workload since its last start and had received a favourable run throughout.
Race 8   PAST PRESIDENTS FILLIES & MARES MOBILE PACE
A false start was declared due to the hanging bit on QUEENOFDANCE pulling through the horse's mouth in the score up.
MAJORCA - held up early stages of the run home. Hampered by weakening runner late in the run home.
AM I DREAMING - raced wide early and middle stages.
ROCKNSNAP - hung outwards and broke as the start was effected and was retired from the race. A post-race veterinary examination revealed left hind lameness. Stood down pending a veterinary clearance.
IMMER BESSER - broke briefly near the 1100 metres. Held up early stages of the run home.
TERROR MARIA - raced wide early and middle stages.
NOT REALLY BLONDE - held up for clear racing room until late in run home.
PASSION AND POWER - when questioned regarding the improved performance driver J Dunn advised the filly had been unsuited to working hard in recent races to obtain a handy position and had appreciated being saved for one run today with the return to grass track racing.
JAZELLE - hung inwards striking a pylon passing the 1100 metres. Held up early and middle stages of the run home. Driver B Orange reported he was unable to activate the removable deafeners. Trainer M Pash was warned for failing to affix the gear correctly.
WHO MADE WHO - weakened over the final stages hampering trailing runner.
Race 9   PAT McGIRR MEMORIAL MOBILE PACE
DUFFY HOLLOW - contacted pylons when racing in restricted room to the inside of SCELTA UNO which was being eased to take a trail entering the first turn.
RAZORS EDGE - raced wide early stages.
SERG BLANCO - when questioned regarding the performance driver J Dunn reported that the gelding had been unable to make ground after having to improve wide on the final bend from the rear of the field and was also up in grade today.
CAESAR'S QUEST - raced wide early stages. Paced roughly near the 300 metres.
GLEN ELGIN TOMSON - when questioned regarding the performance driver B Orange reported that the gelding had been unable to make ground after having to improve wide on the final bend from the rear of the field however despite this had still been slightly disappointed.
JENNY GUMP - held up middle stages of the run home.
Race 10   MAINLAND WOOL PACE
PEMBROOK TILLY - reared just prior to the start being effected and shifted inside the marker line losing considerable ground. Declared a non runner by Stewards under Rule 213(1)(e) due to unsatisfactory manners and stood down to complete one satisfactory standing start trial.
REFLECTIONSOFMYLIFE - held up early stages of the run home. Driver T Chmiel advised he had not activated the removable deafeners.
MAYHEM IN MALIBU - when spoken to regarding the performance driver S Ottley reported the gelding had failed to run on after improving wide on the final bend and had been slightly disappointing.
MEGAROCK - driver G O'Reilly reported the sliding blinds had not activated due to the cord breaking.
BETTOR BELIEVE IT - when questioned regarding the improved performance the connections advised the horse had worked hard at its last start from a bad draw and had broken at its two starts prior to this after being checked.
RUBY'S A DELIGHT - broke at the start losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
Race 11   PHAT DUCK RESTAURANT & BAR HANDICAP TROT
SUNNIVUE PHILEAH - broke passing the 200 metres. A warning was placed on the racing record of the mare.
RACHMANINOV - tangled away.
BK DAWN - broke for a short distance rounding the first bend. Over-raced middle stages.
MOMENTOUS - over-raced middle stages.
ONE OVER DOVER - broke at the start. Hampered by a slight easing of the pace near the 1200 metres and trotted roughly. Raced wide without cover from the 1000 metres. Hung inwards final bend.
FULL OF HOPE - hampered by a slight easing of the pace near the 1200 metres. When questioned regarding the improved performance trainer P Nairn expressed some surprise in the improvement and added he had changed the horse's hind shoes to aluminium plates which may have been a factor. Driver P Nairn admitted using his whip free of the rein in the home straight and after penalty submissions the JCA suspended his licence from the conclusion of racing on 18 April up to and including 30 May 2021 (6 weeks).
RUSTY I AM - broke at the start. Hampered by a slight easing of the pace near the 1200 metres.
TAKE AFTER ME - broke then paced rounding the first bend losing all chance and was retired from the race.
IDEAL INVASION - broke shortly after the start.
