Commenced to weaken near the 700 metres. A post race veterinary examination detected abnormal breathing noises with the mare being stood down pending a veterinary clearance which is to include the results of an endoscopy. | |

KACHING KACHING - checked and broke entering the first turn and was retired from the event. A post race veterinary examination showed the horse to have sustained lacerations to the near hind leg which were treated. Stewards will follow up with the connections in the coming days. | |
MR KAPLAN - trainer T Herlihy was issued a $100 Minor Infringement Notice after the filly was presented with Blinds which had been notified as having been removed. Lay in at various stages. Shifted out near the 100 metres when clear of other runners. | |

DANCE TILL DAWN - driver B Mangos was warned for being out of position at the candy pole. The all clear was delayed until Stewards could speak with the connections of 5th placed ARTISAN regarding interference entering the first bend. After speaking with S Phelan and B Purdon dividends were cleared accordingly. Stewards adjourned an inquiry into the manner in which Mr Mangos drove at this time. | |

MITSI GAYNOR - broke when taking evasive action entering the first turn losing all chance. | |
AMERICAN BEAUTY - hampered in the early stages having to shift wider to avoid breaking runners. When spoken to regarding the filly's performance trainer/driver T Herlihy explained his runner had been uncomfortable when amongst other runners and it was his intention to consider spelling her. | |
ARTISAN - checked and broke entering the first turn when racing between DANCE TILL DAWN and KACHING KACHING, which also broke, with ARTISAN losing approx 6 lengths. |

DARLING ME - had to be steadied near the 2200 metres after commencing to shift away from the marker line and was then taken back down to trail THE HONEY QUEEN. Held up rounding the final turn. | |

LA ROSA - broke shortly after the start losing considerable ground before catching the field near the 1300 metres. Stood down pending a satisfactory mobile start. | |

KRUG - commenced to over-race in the middle stages then raced clear in the lead from the 1500 metres. When questioned driver T Herlihy stated that once the colt commenced to over-race he elected to let him roll along rather than try to restrain him back to the field. Mr Herlihy also added that he had not been required to activate the deafeners. | |
ALADDIN - raced three wide early before being restrained to the rear. Over-raced early and middle stages. | |
IT'S ALL ABOUT FAITH - over-raced in the early and middle stages. Commenced to give ground near the 350 metres. When questioned driver J Dickie stated that the colt was flat at the 800 metres and could offer no explanation for the disappointing run. A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormality. Stewards will follow up with Trainer H Cullen in the coming days. | |
