Race 1   DUNSTAN SPEEDFEED SUMMER SERIES HANDICAP TROT
SAINT MICHEL - raced keenly middle stages. Broke passing the 300 metres losing all chance.
BERRYLICIOUS BABE - weakened final turn.
LIAISON - broke passing the 350 metres losing its chance. A warning was placed on the gelding's racing manners record.
STILL EYRE - hampered by a breaking runner passing the 300 metres. Weakened final bend.
SPECIAL WAY - trotted roughly rounding the final turn and throughout the run home with M McKendry unable to fully pressure the gelding.
Race 2   HYDROFLOW MOBILE PACE
SUPERBASS - over-raced through the middle stages when racing outside the leader and then raced fiercely when NEW YORK MINUTE improved to its outside approaching the 1000 metres. Commenced to weaken near the 700 metres. A post race veterinary examination detected abnormal breathing noises with the mare being stood down pending a veterinary clearance which is to include the results of an endoscopy.
NEW YORK MINUTE - worked hard to obtain the position outside the leader middle stages and weakened final turn.
Race 3   MAGNESS BENROW NZSS NORTHERN MARES CLASSIC (MOB PACE)
ADIEU FLIRT - commenced to give ground rounding the final turn.
PLUTONIUM LADY - raced three wide in the early and middle stages before crossing to race outside the leader near the 1400 metres. Raced keenly middle stages.
NEED YOU NOW - raced three wide in the early and middle stages before improving to lead near the 1000 metres. Driver B Mangos was issued with a warning for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion.
EMMBER - held up rounding the final turn before shifting ground outwards to obtain clear running.
Race 4   CROMBIE LOCKWOOD BL'STOCK DELIGHTFUL LADY CLASSIC MOB PACE
KACHING KACHING - checked and broke entering the first turn and was retired from the event. A post race veterinary examination showed the horse to have sustained lacerations to the near hind leg which were treated. Stewards will follow up with the connections in the coming days.
MR KAPLAN - trainer T Herlihy was issued a $100 Minor Infringement Notice after the filly was presented with Blinds which had been notified as having been removed. Lay in at various stages. Shifted out near the 100 metres when clear of other runners.
FOREVER A DANCER - hampered in the early stages. Lay out in the early stages of the run home.
DANCE TILL DAWN - driver B Mangos was warned for being out of position at the candy pole. The all clear was delayed until Stewards could speak with the connections of 5th placed ARTISAN regarding interference entering the first bend. After speaking with S Phelan and B Purdon dividends were cleared accordingly. Stewards adjourned an inquiry into the manner in which Mr Mangos drove at this time.
CHEVRONS BYPASS - hampered in the early stages.
CHANTILLY - hampered in the early stages.
MITSI GAYNOR - broke when taking evasive action entering the first turn losing all chance.
AMERICAN BEAUTY - hampered in the early stages having to shift wider to avoid breaking runners. When spoken to regarding the filly's performance trainer/driver T Herlihy explained his runner had been uncomfortable when amongst other runners and it was his intention to consider spelling her.
ARTISAN - checked and broke entering the first turn when racing between DANCE TILL DAWN and KACHING KACHING, which also broke, with ARTISAN losing approx 6 lengths.
Race 5   2021 PASCOES THE JEWELLERS NORTHERN OAKS (MOB PACE)
DARLING ME - had to be steadied near the 2200 metres after commencing to shift away from the marker line and was then taken back down to trail THE HONEY QUEEN. Held up rounding the final turn.
THE HONEY QUEEN - over-raced middle stages when trailing the leader. Shifted outwards final stages.
LA ROSA - broke shortly after the start losing considerable ground before catching the field near the 1300 metres. Stood down pending a satisfactory mobile start.
OFF N GONE - raced keenly in the middle stages. A post race veterinary examination revealed some airway inflammation and Stewards will follow up with Trainer R Dunn in the coming days.
Race 6   BRECKON FARMS YOUNG GUNS CARDIGAN BAY STAKES (MOB PACE)
MAJOR PERRY - broke near the 1400 metres losing ground before settling.
Race 7   2021 WOODLANDS STUD NORTHERN DERBY (MOBILE PACE)
RAVEN BANNER - paced roughly for a stride passing the 400 metres.
HOT AND TREACHEROUS - raced three wide early.
KRUG - commenced to over-race in the middle stages then raced clear in the lead from the 1500 metres. When questioned driver T Herlihy stated that once the colt commenced to over-race he elected to let him roll along rather than try to restrain him back to the field. Mr Herlihy also added that he had not been required to activate the deafeners.
ALADDIN - raced three wide early before being restrained to the rear. Over-raced early and middle stages.
IT'S ALL ABOUT FAITH - over-raced in the early and middle stages. Commenced to give ground near the 350 metres. When questioned driver J Dickie stated that the colt was flat at the 800 metres and could offer no explanation for the disappointing run. A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormality. Stewards will follow up with Trainer H Cullen in the coming days.
B D JOE - lay in and contacted several marker pegs near the 1250 metres. Over-raced middle stages. Held up rounding the final turn.
Race 8   AUCKLAND CO-OP TAXIS 300-3000 CITY OF AUCKLAND FFA MOB PACE
KANGO - lay in when being angled wider rounding the final turn.
TAIPO - lay in early in the run home.
Race 9   MAJESTIC HORSE FLOATS GREENLANE CUP (HANDICAP TROT)
INVICTUS - lay in rounding the final turn and raced over several track markers.
ANDITOVER - trainer R Paynter was issued a $100 Minor Infringement Notice for presenting the gelding without the notified blinds which were affixed prior to the start.
CALL ME TROUBLE - broke approaching the 2300 metres and settled at the rear. A warning was placed on the gelding's racing manners record.
ONE MAJIC KENNY - broke at the start losing its chance. A warning was placed on the gelding's standing start barrier record.
WOODSTONE - a post race veterinary examination revealed some airway inflammation and Stewards will follow up with trainer R Dunn in the coming days.
Race 10   DUNSTAN SPEEDFEED SUMMER SERIES MOBILE PACE
SING TO ME - raced keenly middle stages.
CAPTAIN NEMO - weakened final turn.
HAPPY PLACE - lay in approaching the home straight when attempting to improve and had to be steadied.
CLOUDY BAY - lay in rounding the first turn. Continued to lay in at various stages.
SHOW ME HEAVEN - an inquiry was opened and adjourned into the manner in which driver B Mangos used his whip over the latter stages of the run home.
Race 11   LONE STAR ALEXANDRA PARK 2YO MOBILE TROT
CYCLONE KADABRAMELIA - gave ground from the 400 metres.
Top
