Race 1   THE JOINER SHOP PACE
The start was delayed by 2 minutes at the request of the TAB. The start was further delayed due to MAURICE requiring farrier attention.
THE DIVA - Shifted outwards at the start crowding outside runners.
RAKE - Crowded by an inside runner at the start. Held up final bend.
LENNOX BROMAC - Broke racing into the first bend losing considerable ground.
FORTUNIA - Hung inwards when racing wide in the early and middle stages causing driver B Orange some difficulty. Continued to hang inwards throughout. Weakened final bend. When spoken to regarding the performance driver B Orange reported the entire had progressively hung worse as the race went on. Co-trainer N Purdon felt the horse may not have handled the track. A post race veterinary inspection did not reveal any obvious abnormality.
MADAME FROST - Raced wide early stages until reaching the parked position near the 1700 metres.
MAURICE - Raced wide without cover from the 800 metres. Weakened final bend.
BOOM - Paced roughly for a short distance racing over the crossing near the 2000 metres. Held up leaving the final bend.
Race 2   KAIKOURA WASTE SERVICES MOBILE PACE
HUEGO BOS - Hung outwards as the start was effected and crowded by an outside runner. Held up early and middle stages of the run home.
BLAZING IMPACT - Raced greenly as the start was effected and shifted ground in both directions checking outside runners. A warning was placed on the mare's barrier record. Driver R May was spoken to for using the whip free of the rein in the home straight.
CONQUISTADOR - Checked shortly after the start and raced roughly for a short distance. Hung outwards final bend when weakening. Paced roughly in the home straight.
KERALA STAR - Hampered shortly after the start. Driver J Curtin was spoken to for using the whip free of the rein in the home straight and more than a wrist flicking motion passing the 1100 metres.
FRIENDLY EYRE - Trainer M Brown was warned for presenting the gelding to race with blinds that had not been notified. Raced wide from the 700 metres.
MAJOR WILSON - Checked and broke as the start was effected losing ground. Hampered by a breaking runner racing into the first bend causing the gelding to break for a short distance losing ground.
ROCKIN VA VA - Hung outwards rounding the first bend and again on the final bend when held up for clear racing room.
THE WEST WING - Checked shortly after the start. Broke racing into the first bend hampering trailing runners. A warning was placed on the gelding's racing record.
MAGIC MIKE - Raced wide until near the 1300 metres when taken forward to race outside the leader. Over raced passing the 1200 metres when being restrained to obtain cover.
POCKET ROCKNROLL - Hampered by a breaking runner racing into the first bend. Raced wide from the 800 metres.
PEMBROOK'S DESTINY - Raced wide in the early stages.
Race 3   KAIKOURA BUILDING CENTRE ITM TROT
TEQUILA SUNSET - Lay inwards leaving bend near the 1400 metres and dislodged a track marker. Hung inwards final bend. Trotted roughly in the home straight.
LISTEN EASY - Broke at the start losing considerable ground.
GOTTA TICKET - Paced as the start was effected having to be broken up by driver B Butt with the gelding losing ground. A warning was placed on the gelding's barrier record. Broke again near the 1500 metres losing considerable ground. Weakened from the 600 metres.
CRAZY N LOVE - Trotted roughly rounding the final bend losing ground.
MEGA PIXELS - Broke racing into the first bend losing all chance. Driver B Hope was issued with a warning for failing to take his galloping runner clear of the field at the earliest opportunity.
PRINCESS DAKOTA - Hampered early stages. Driver S Thornley was spoken to for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion.
ONE OVER ALL - Trotted roughly passing the 200 metres and had to be steadied. Lay inwards throughout the run home. Driver G Smith was spoken to regarding leaving the passing lane free for trailing runners at all times.
PLAY DOUGH - Broke rounding the first bend and continued in a break for a considerable distance losing all chance. A warning was placed on the gelding's racing record.
BLINK N BONES - Hampered early stages. Raced wide without cover from the 900 metres.
FAITH NO MORE - Broke near the 1500 metres losing all chance.

DOWN THE HATCH - Hung inwards in the score up and was back slightly at the start. Raced wide early stages. Raced wide without cover from the 700 metres.

A TASTE OF HONEY - Driver J Dunn was spoken to for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home.

SAGANO - Checked by a breaking runner near the 450 metres losing ground.
MOGUL - When spoken to regarding the gelding's improved performance the connections advised the runner had appreciated a return to mobile racing and enjoyed an economical run throughout today.
FABRIZIO - Paced roughly and broke approaching the 450 metres checking trailing runners. A final warning was placed on the racing record of the horse.
STUN GUN - Driver R May was spoken to regarding his use of the whip free of the rein on one occasion in the run home.
Race 6   VIC & IRENE SMITH MEMORIAL HANDICAP TROT
IDLE STUARTIA - Struck and dislodged a track marker on the final bend.
SHOW ME THE GRAY - Hampered by a breaking runner in the early stages of the run home.
KOWHAI SUNDOWN - Broke near the 250 metres losing its chance.
RED HARBOUR - Broke at the start before switching to a pace and having to be broken up by its driver losing all chance.
THAT'S THE STORY - Over raced middle stages.
ANDOVERLOV - Lay inwards through the final straight.
IDEAL INVASION - Broke after 200 metres losing all chance.
Race 7   MAJESTIC SON SOUTH BAY TROTTERS CUP (HCP TROT)
DESTINY JONES - Weakened from the 700 metres. A post race veterinary inspection showed the mare to be suffering from a respiratory condition. Trainer D Hunter advised that his mare had been in season throughout the week and shown signs of tie up but given him the impression she was over those issues in the days prior to racing. Mr Hunter added that it was his intention to have the horse scoped in the coming days and may also consider undertaking a lung wash. Stewards will speak again to Mr Hunter in the coming days regarding the results of those tests.
MAJESTIC LAVROS - Trainer M Jones reported the gelding has had its hocks injected since last racing.
MATUA TANA - Broke near the 450 metres checking trailing runners. A warning was placed on the gelding's racing record.
SUNDEES SON - Inconvenienced near the 450 metres by a breaking runner and galloped losing considerable ground. A post race veterinary inspection did not reveal any obvious abnormality. Authorisation of 5th place was withheld until it was confirmed the gelding had complied with the Breaking Horse Regulations.
TOUGH MONARCH - Hung inwards and then broke near the 450 metres. A post race veterinary inspection did not reveal any obvious abnormality.
Trainer D Hunter advised Stewards on 3 November that a scope has confirmed that DESTINY JONES is suffering from a respiratory infection. Mr Hunter added that following treatment the mare will most likely resume on Show Day at Addington.
Race 8   ALABAR KAIKOURA CUP FFA (STAND PACE)
NANDOLO - Fractious prior to the start. Driver J Cox was spoken to regarding using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home.
U MAY CULLECT - Broke at the start losing ground. A warning was placed on the gelding's barrier record. Hung inwards final bend and struck and dislodged a track marker.
CLASSIE BRIGADE - Driver J Dunn reported he did not activate the gelding's sliding blinds. Mr Dunn was spoken to regarding using his whip free of the rein in the early stages.
ON THE CARDS - Raced wide early stages.
TANGO TARA - Hampered by a breaking runner shortly after the start.
HENRY HUBERT - Hampered by a breaking runner shortly after the start. Raced wide from the 800 metres.
Race 9   PGG WRIGHTSON SALES SERIES AGED CLASSIC (HCP PACE)
BAD TO THE BONE - Crowded racing into the first bend and had to be steadied. Driver Z Butcher was spoken to regarding using his whip free of the rein near the 1150 metres and with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home.
KRUIZR - Driver J Curtin was spoken to regarding the manner in which he drove entering the first bend which caused an inside runner to be placed in restricted room. Had difficulty obtaining clear racing room throughout the final straight.
GLENLEDI CHIEF - Broke at the start losing ground.
ABOVE N BEYOND - Raced wide without cover from the 700 metres. Paced roughly final bend.
AMERICAN ME - Paced roughly rounding the final bend. Driver J Abernethy was spoken to regarding using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion.
BELMONT MAJOR - Held up early stages of the run home.
FRANCO NIVEN - Held up early stages of the run home.
MIKEY MAGUIRE - Driver C DeFilippi was spoken to regarding using his whip free of the rein near the 1250 metres.
WARLOCH - Held up early stages of the run home. S Ottley was advised that she is to make a better effort in future to ensure she starts from her correct barrier position.

Race 10   DUNLEA PRODUCTS LTD HANDICAP TROT
PRINCE TEKA - Driver I Cameron was questioned regarding his decision to vacate the trail near the 500 metres and shift outwards. Mr Cameron explained that his horse had hung outwards throughout, which had then worsened when the pace was increased. He added that the horse had been touching its right sulky wheel in the middle stages which had contributed to his horses behaviour. His comments were accepted. Mr Cameron was spoken to regarding using his whip free of the rein.
MIDNIGHT ASSASSIN - Driver C DeFilippi was issued with a warning regarding using his whip free of the rein.
MEDUSA - Driver K Cameron was spoken to regarding using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion.
BOYZ INVASION - Stewards will speak with driver M Heenan in coming days regarding the non-activation of his sliding blinds.
DIDJABRINGTHEBEERS - When spoken to regarding the geldings improved performance trainer J Howe explained that after having been recently disappointed with the horses efforts and being unable to find any veterinary reason for those runs he had changed the horses training regime. Mr Howe added that his horse had also taken benefit from a drop back in class compared to recent opposition.
RYDGEMONT MILLY - Broke near the 750 metres losing its chance.
ZSA ZOE - Over raced middle stages. Hampered by breaking runner near the 750 metres.
MAJESTIC HURRICANE - Trainer K Barron was issued with a warning for presenting the gelding to race with the incorrect number. Broke near the 2000 metres losing ground. Over raced middle stages. Raced wide from the 800 metres.
Race 11   AUTO & MARINE SERVICES MOBILE PACE
SMIFFY'S TERROR - Raced greenly when leading near the 1250 metres and shifted up the track. Hung inwards final bend and struck several track markers. Stewards will speak with connections in coming days regarding the performance of the colt which weakened over the concluding stages.
JAWBREAKER(AUS) - Hung inwards rounding the bend near the 900 metres and struck several track markers. Held up final bend.
MARTIN JOHN - Weakened final bend.
ANAMAJOR - Lost the front right shoe during the running.
JOHNNY EYRE - Over raced in the early stages when wide on the track. Raced wide without cover from the 800 metres.
