Race 1   BRIAN HUMM CONTRACTING MOBILE PACE
DREAMINSOVER - Driver C Negus was spoken to for using her whip with more than a wrist flicking motion. Mrs Negus advised Stewards that she had been unable to activate the removable deafeners due to the cord becoming entangled.
CROSSO'S CULLECT - Lay outwards in the early stages.
YANKEE DIVA - Broke in the score up hampering second line runners with a false start being declared. Received a warning on its mobile barrier record. Again broke at the second attempt causing another false start and was scratched by order of Stewards. Stood down to trial satisfactorily from a mobile on one occasion prior to resuming.
SENORITA MARGARITA - The overcheck clip broke after the second false start having to be repaired. Driver J Buckland-Stevens was warned for failing to report that she had been unable to activate the removal deafeners due to the cord becoming entangled.
JENABELLA - Had some difficulty obtaining clear racing room in the early and middle stages of the run home. Driver A Fitzgerald was issued with a warning for using his whip free of the rein and in more than a wrist flicking motion.
DONEGAL CARRICKFIN - Broke racing into the first bend losing ground. Driver M Maynard was warned to make a greater effort to take his runner wider on the track when in a break. Mr Maynard reported that he did not activate the removable deafeners after having some difficulty obtaining clear racing room in the home straight.
RIPSNORTER - Raced wide in the early stages. Driver S Wigg was issued with a warning for using her whip free of the rein.
PAUL'S VERDICT - paced roughly on the final bend.
PRO SURFER - Refused to move away with the field on the third attempt at the start and took no active part in the race being declared a late scratching by Stewards under Rule 213(1)(e). Due to the two false starts Stewards took no further action other than to place a warning on the barrier record of the gelding.
Trainer B Negus advised Stewards that SENORITA MARGARITA was served on 17 November 2020.
Race 2   LOBSTER INN TAVERN TROT
KENNY KEKO - Shied at the barrier and shifted outwards abruptly. Broke shortly after the start losing all chance. Will now be drawn unruly for standing starts.
EMMA LOUISE - Switched to a pace after 100 metres for a short distance having to be restrained. Broke briefly approaching the 1900 metres again having to be restrained and losing ground. Trotted roughly over the final stages.
MONARO MAKO - Broke racing into the first bend. Again broke passing the 1000 metres losing its chance.
TUSCAN SUN - Trotted roughly through the early stages. Broke near the 1950 metres losing its chance. Driver H Clarke reported the gelding had failed to handle the tight bends.
UNDER AND OVER - Broke near the 1900 metres losing ground, settling at the back of the field. Raced three wide from the 700 metres and was soon after shifted to a four wide uncovered position for the remainder of the race.
MENTALIST - Raced wide final bend. Broke passing the 200 metres losing its chance.
Race 3   FASTTRACK INSURANCE $2.5K ADDED MOBILE PACE
GALLEONS CONNOISSEUR - Hampered near the 850 metres by a breaking runner.
WESTBURN BLISS - Broke in the score up checking MOSSMAN with a false start being declared. A warning was placed on the mare's barrier record. Remained at barrier 2 for the restart. Broke near the 850 metres losing ground. Broke again near the 700 metres losing its chance. A warning was placed on the mare's racing record. Broke a hopple whilst in a gallop.
HAYDEN BROMAC - Held up final bend by a weakening runner. Driver G Smith was spoken to for using his whip free of the rein. Driver G Smith reported he sustained a punctured sulky tyre during the running.
UNO MIA - Held up in the early stages of the run home. Hampered near the 850 metres by a breaking runner. Held up final bend and in the early stages of the run home.
CHEDDAR MADE BETA - Weakened leaving the final bend. Lay inwards in the final straight. Driver S McNally was warned to make a greater effort to ensure he leaves the passing lane clear for trailing runners.
CONTRACTUAL ISSUES - out of position at the start with driver K Newman issued a warning. K Newman was also spoken to for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion.
BAKER CREEK - Checked near the 850 metres by a breaking runner.
MOSSMAN - Paced roughly in the home straight.
TOUCHE - Raced wide without cover from the 1100 metres.
MISTER MIGHTY - Paced roughly late in the run home.
Race 4   KAIKOURA NIGHT N DAY PACE
BOUDICA - Hung inwards badly on the first bend and became held up behind a galloping runner despite the efforts of driver C Thornley. Again hung inwards on the bend near the 1000 metres. Weakened from the 600 metres.
BOILOVER - Hampered by galloping runners near the 850 metres. Lay inwards and struck pylons final bend.
NADIRA FRANCO - Broke after 100 metres and refused to settle losing its chance. A warning was placed on the mare's racing record.
FULL OF DESIRE - Driver B Borcoskie was spoken to for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion.
EMMA'S BOY - Broke when leading near the 850 metres hampering trailing runners and losing its chance. A warning was placed on the gelding's racing record.
ORIANTHI - Paced roughly rounding the first bend and had to be steadied. Hung inwards on the bend near the 1000 metres and lost contact with the field thereafter. Weakened from the 600 metres.
SOVIET STAR - Hampered by galloping runners near the 850 metres. Struck pylons final bend. Driver T Chmiel was spoken to for using his whip free of the rein.
HELLUVA - Fractious prior to the start and shifted outwards making contact with the sulky of BEAVER unbalancing its driver B Orange and as a result was back from its position at the start. Broke approaching the 850 metres when vying for the lead losing its chance. The all clear was delayed until Driver G Smith had reviewed a replay of the start to determine whether he had been denied a fair start and after doing so he elected not to proceed with the matter. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the colt. Mr Smith was warned for using his whip free of the rein.
BEAVER - Hampered by galloping runners near the 850 metres.
DALNESS FIRST - Broke at the start losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
PEMBROOK TILLY - Hung outwards passing the 1200 metres when racing keenly. Over raced near the 900 metres and paced roughly for several strides. Weakened from the 600 metres.
LOYALIST - Hampered by galloping runners near the 850 metres.
Race 5   ROAD METALS/KIWI CONCRETE (JUNIOR DRIVERS) MOBILE PACE
ABSOLUT RUSSIAN - Hung inwards and locked wheels with RAZCAL ALLEY near the 400 metres losing its chance.
TERROR MARIA - Held up final bend.
DHAULAGIRI - Crowded leaving the final bend when weakening and struck several pylons. When spoken to regarding the gelding's performance, driver E Barron reported the gelding had worked hard through the early stages to assume the lead with the effort taking its toll over the concluding stages.
CRACKABRIE - Raced wide in the early stages. Hung outwards racing into the final bend and broke.
CHILLER BAY - Hung inwards and paced roughly in the score up with the gelding being out of position at the start. Paced roughly leaving the final bend. Hung inwards throughout the run home causing driver S Tomlinson some difficulty.
LAVER - Driver S O'Reilly was spoken to for using her whip with more than a wrist flicking motion.
RAZCAL ALLEY - Held up final bend. Locked wheels with ABSOLUT RUSSIAN passing the 400 metres losing its chance.
SOUTHERLY CHANGE - Broke in the score up and was out of position by a considerable distance at the start. A warning was placed on the mare's barrier record.
SQUARE DEALER - Driver C Jones was warned for the manner he drove rounding the final bend when crowding an inside runner. Mr Jones was also spoken to regarding breaking up his use of the whip with alternative actions.
Race 6   LION MOBILE TROT
ORLANDO MAGIC - Broke in the score up losing considerable ground. A warning was placed on the mare's barrier record. Struck pylons on the final bend when attempting to avoid a breaking runner.
MAJESTIC CHICK - Held up by a weakening runner final bend.
TIME IN A BOTTLE - Trotted roughly on the final bend when weakening.
MONRIKA - Trotted roughly when being restrained in the early stages. Hung inwards on the final bend and in the early stages of the run home. Driver S McNally was spoken to for using the whip with more than a wrist flicking motion. When spoken to regarding the improved performance the connections reported the mare had improved with recent racing and after receiving a favourable run throughout they had not been surprised with the improved effort.
ZONED SCARLETT - Over raced in the early and middle stages. Broke approaching the 400 metres.
MISSALYSSA - Trainer A Faulks advised Stewards that the mare has had her hocks injected since last racing. Trotted roughly in the early stages of the run home and then broke passing the 150 metres.
SIOUX PRINCESS - Trotted roughly in the score up and was back from the unruly position at the start.
