When spoken to regarding the tactics he adopted passing the 600 metres, driver J Dunn advised that at its previous run on this course he had improved in the back straight and been forced wide with the horse having no finish as a result. Mr Dunn added that in his opinion if he had improved at this point again today he would have been forced wide on the track so elected to wait in an attempt to obtain a drag into the race. Mr Dunn's explanation was accepted. | |
