Mr Orange also explained that the horse fought the pole at its previous start and raced without this gear in tonight's race. The gelding's intractability rounding the bends was also evident when it was unable to maintain its position trailing BALL OF ART passing the 1300 metres which enabled STAR GALLERIA to shift from a three wide position to a two wide position in front of it. TOMMY LINCOLN - driver A Poutama was questioned in regard to him easing out from the two wide line to the three wide line passing the 1500 metres with the fast improving CHECK IN racing to a four wide position on his outside. It was established that Mr Poutama commenced his outward movement prior to CHECK IN reaching the position outside his wheel and therefore did not breach the Push Out Rule.
