EDAMFAST - driver A Matthews advised that the gelding cast the near fore shoe passing the 200 metres.
FORTUNE SMILES - driver S Abernethy was cautioned in regard to the manner in which he improved inwards after the start to take the one one position which placed ROMANEE in restricted room.
CAPTAIN NEMO - improved three wide inside the 1400 metres to race outside the leader passing the 1200 metres, received cover briefly passing the 1100 metres and proceeded to over-race resulting in the colt being taken out three wide outside the leaders approaching the 800 metres before being improved forward.
JOHNNY MAC - improved three wide with cover from inside the 1400 metres and then unsuccessfully challenged for the lead passing the 1000 metres.
ROMANEE - paced unevenly when being eased to the running line shortly after the start after being placed in restricted room by FORTUNE SMILES.
Race 3   PGG WRIGHTSON HANDICAP TROT
MI ANNA - broke passing the 1900 metres settling at the rear of the field.
MAGNAFIQUE - broke inside the 400 metres.
EXPENSIVE CRUMPET - slow away. Broke approaching the 2050 metres losing its chance.

RUSSLEY RUSH - improved three wide from inside the 800 metres but was shifted four wide passing the 500 metres. Forced to race wider rounding the final turn.
CEE WHATADELIGHT - over-raced early and racing down the back straight for the last time. Held up rounding the final turn and in the early stages of the run home.
HAPPY PLACE - inclined to lay out rounding the final bend then lay in passing the 250 metres giving Junior driver F Schumacher a difficult drive.
SHEFFIELD SPARKY - raced five back one out, improved from inside the 600 metres, shifted wide on the track passing the 300 metres before running on strongly to finish in 3rd placing beaten 2.7 lengths.
Race 5   LONESTAR ALEXANDRA PARK NOW OPEN HANDICAP TROT
TAILORED ELEGANCE - lay in contacting track markers passing 1200 metres and again passing the 250 metres prior to reaching the passing lane with Driver B Mangos momentarily dropping his foot from the sulky footrest when activating gear. Mr Mangos explained that TAILORED ELEGANCE had hung badly in what was the filly's first start right handed and that he had some difficulty activating the removable deafeners. After considering the matter Stewards were satisfied that the filly had gained no advantage in this incident and Mr Mangos was reminded of his obligations given similar circumstances in the future. Co-Trainer M Purdon advised that he would be making a corrective gear change.
ONE OVER DA SON - lay in rounding the final turn traveling over several track markers.
RESONATE - unbalanced for a couple of strides at the start and was initially slow to begin.
SERTORIUS - raced outside the leader for the majority of the race and weakened from inside the 400 metres. A post race Veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormality.
CREDIT MASTER - broke passing the 2300 metres losing its chance.
WINTERFELL - when questioned driver M Purdon explained that after a slow beginning he had chased hard for a considerable distance and elected to improve along the marker line from inside the 500 metres rather than attempt to improve wide. The gelding was then held up momentarily early in the run home by the weakening ONE OVER DA SON before gaining clear racing room and responding well after the deafeners were activated to finish in 3rd place beaten 2.2 lengths. Stewards noted that the gelding's net time of 3.23.8 was 0.2 sec outside the New Zealand record.
Race 6   LINCOLN FARMS MOBILE PACE
VESPA - held up final turn.
PIALLIGO - weakened rounding the final turn impeding a trailing runner.
CHRISTIANSHAVTIME - improved three wide from inside the 700 metres, impeded by a tiring runner rounding the final turn and was forced to race wide. Locked sulky wheels briefly with LARRY LINCOLN approaching the 200 metres.
JACK RYAN - raced three wide early before being improved to race outside the leader near the 1600 metres. The authorisation of 3rd placing was withheld until such time that Stewards confirmed that the gelding was in its correct gait when reaching the finishing line.
MAN OF ACTION - paced unevenly over the latter stages of the run home.
LARRY LINCOLN - locked sulky wheels briefly with CHRISTIANSHAVTIME approaching the 200 metres.
Race 7   CADUCEUS CLUB MOBILE PACE
FIRST CLASS - beaten for gate speed, lay in rounding the first turn contacting track markers, shifted away from the marker line passing the 1800 metres before improving to the lead at the 1500 metres. Weakened inside the final 200 metres finishing in 11th place beaten 10.5 lengths. A post race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormality. Co-trainer/driver M Purdon advised that it was the colt's first start since March and in hindsight the task proved to be beyond its preparation and that it was his intention to trial FIRST CLASS before racing next.
HIGH POINT - over-raced middle stages.
MACH LITTLE SOAKY - raced three wide early.
YORKSHIRE - when questioned in regard to the improved performance of the gelding, trainer J Young advised that he had made several gear changes in that he had removed the murphy blind and had also changed to a different driving bit which has corrected the gelding's tendency to lay in.
MAGILLIGAN POINT - over-raced middle stages.
Race 8   FRESHER FOODS MOBILE PACE
GOPATI - raced three wide early before improving outside the leader passing the 1600 metres. Weakened approaching the 400 metres. A post race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormality. Driver B Mangos advised that the driving bit had twisted in the horse's mouth and had pulled through giving him a difficult drive and placing him at a considerable disadvantage. Co-Trainer M Purdon advised that he will be changing the driving bit prior to the gelding racing next.
BETTOR CALL ME - when questioned Driver M Purdon explained that after being caught three wide early from the outside barrier draw that the colt had then over-raced when being restrained which left him with little option other than to remain three wide without cover as he felt that BETTOR CALL ME was not travelling well enough to attempt to go forward given the strong tempo at this stage. Improved forward inside the final 700 metres to race outside the leader near the 400 metres but then weakened inside the final 200 metres finishing in 8th place beaten 9.6 lengths.
Race 9   STALLION NIGHT AT ALEXANDRA PARK THURS 6 AUG MOBILE PACE

YEA BABY - inconvenienced by a breaking runner racing into the first turn, trailed on the outer then shifted three wide passing a tiring runner near the 500 metres and improved to a challenging position approaching the 200 metres but weakened finishing 5th, beaten 8.9 lengths. A post race Veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.
Co-Trainer/driver M Purdon stated that the filly had been given every chance and that he was disappointed with her run. Blood tests are to be carried out on the filly early next week with the results forwarded to Stewards if anything is amiss.
LITTLE SUZIE - broke racing into the first turn inconveniencing trailing runners. Weakened inside the final 500 metres.
Co-trainer M Purdon advised Stewards on 5 August that blood tests taken from YEA BABY indicated that the filly was suffering from muscle tie up which is now being treated.
