Race 2 - HOUSE OF TRAVEL LAKERS INVERCARGILL MOBILE PACE
Trainer R Swain advised Stewards on 16 July that THE NIGHT WATCHMAN is being treated for a virus.
Race 7 - WINTON'S TOP PUB MOBILE PACE
Trainer P Court advised Stewards on 14 July that STUN GUN has recovered well following its hard run at Ascot Park last week and will continue with its current preparation.
Race 8 - J & R LYDERS CONTRACTING MOBILE PACE
Trainer B McIntyre advised Stewards on 12 July that TAIRLAW TOLL has been sent for a spell.

Race 1   AON INSURANCE TROT
NORDIC PRINCE - broke passing the 500 metres.
BRANDY AND DRY - broke briefly shortly after the start.
MUCHACHA BONITA - trotted roughly when under pressure rounding the final bend contacting several track markers.
FUNKY MONKEY - lay inwards when under pressure on various occasions in the home straight having to be corrected by driver N Williamson.
SOUTH PARK - raced wide in the middle stages when attempting to improve. Broke near the 600 metres.
JAY BEE AND LOU - cleared from the Unruly for future standing start engagements.
KIWI HEIR - driver R McIlwrick drove with his foot removed from the sulky footrest for some distance after the start. Driver R McIlwrick was issued with a warning pursuant to Rule 867.
Race 2   LBC BUILDING/AARON SWAIN RACING MOBILE PACE
TARGARYEN - paced roughly in the early stages. Again paced roughly then broke leaving the final bend. Stood down to trial on one occasion to the Stewards satisfaction prior to racing next.
IDEOLOGIST - raced in the parked position throughout then weakened over the concluding stages.
COOLHAND EASTON - broke on several occasions in the score-up losing its chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Driver T Williams reported the gelding had hung throughout.
MIGHTY GEORGE - Junior driver E Barron was shown the films and warned for the manner she drove leaving the final bend when placing an inside runner in restricted room.
MACK SHEER - placed in restricted room leaving the final bend contacting several track markers in consequence.
Race 3   DAN CUMMINGS MEMORIAL FILLIES & MARES MOBILE PACE
ARCO - shifted down the track in the home straight when under pressure having to be corrected by junior driver E Barron.
TRES CHIC - broke shortly after the start losing some ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Broke briefly early in the home straight.
CHURRASCO - broke shortly after the start losing considerable ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the filly.
INSARCHATWIST - briefly held up for racing room passing the 50 metres.
Race 4   ALDEBARAN PARK TROT
SAGE TROUBLE - hampered by a tiring runner rounding the final bend.
SVELT - weakened rounding the final bend.
SPRINGBANK MASON - improved wide from the 1200 metres until reaching the parked position near the 700 metres.
DAY DREAMIN - weakened rounding the final bend. When questioned regarding the performance driver B Williamson expressed disappointment however could offer no tangible explanation. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.
MADRIK - broke after 100 metres and then again at the 1300 metres losing its chance.
ALPINE RETREAT - broke shortly after the start losing considerable ground.
MISS BAMBOOCHA - broke at the start losing considerable ground.
RYDGEMONT MILLY - hampered by a tiring runner rounding the final bend.
Race 5   SOUTHLAND HARNESS AWARDS 26TH SEPTEMBER MOBILE PACE
MAJOR MEISTER - lay inwards rounding the bends throughout.
DUKE OF DUNDEE - Junior driver T Larsen assisted by B Gray admitted a breach of Rule 869(2) in that he used his whip on more occasions than is permitted by Clause (b) of the Use of Whip Regulations. After viewing replays and hearing penalty submissions the JCA imposed a suspension of Mr Larsen's licence to drive from the 17th July up to and including the 6th August (3 days.)
DREAM OF GLORY - held up rounding the final bend and in the early stages of the home straight.
CHUCKLES - out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver K Barclay.
Race 6   HARLIWICH HOLDINGS MOBILE PACE
I'M JIMMY JAMES - shifted ground outwards on the final bend forcing MY GEORGIE BOY outwards onto HAZER which was badly checked in consequence. Driver T Williams reported the gelding had hung throughout and he would be recommending gear changes. T Williams was issued a charge of careless driving on the final bend pursuant to Rule 869(3)(b) which the JCA adjourned sine die.
WEE RING THE CHANGES - forced wider on the track rounding the final bend.
GOMEO DENARIO - driver B Barclay was questioned regarding the tactics he adopted through the middle stages. Mr Barclay advised he had driven the gelding on many previous occasions and that it is a one paced horse. His instructions were to put the horse in the race. Due to the race being run on a slow tempo he elected to go forward and challenge the leader at the 1200 metres. Mr Barclay added he felt at this stage his only chance to be competitive was to improve forward and sit on the speed with an increased tempo. Stewards noted Mr Barclays comments.
HAZER - raced wide in the early stages. Badly checked on the final bend.
FRANCO JUNE - raced three-wide without cover from the 1000 metres then weakened leaving the final bend.
MY GEORGIE BOY - forced wider on the final bend.
Driver T Williams (I'M JIMMY JAMES) admitted a charge under Rule 869(3)(b) for driving carelessly on the final bend causing interference and the JCA suspended his licence from the conclusion of racing on 26 July up to and including 30 July 2020 (2 days).
Race 7   TUAPEKA LODGE MOBILE PACE
UNSURPASSABLE - driver N Williamson reported he had received a punctured sulky tyre near the 350 metres when contacted by ZAMBIA which was over-racing.
THOROUGHLY DANCE - over raced near the 1700 metres when being restrained to take cover.
ZAMBIA - raced wide in the early stages until reaching the parked position near the 1500 metres. Over-raced when held up rounding the final bend then continued to be held up for the majority of the home straight only gaining clear racing room over the concluding stages.
WONTHAVTIME - slow to leave the pre-race circle and was slightly out of position at the start.
Race 8   PETERS GENETICS HANDICAP PACE
TRIPLE VC - broke at the start losing some ground.
FRANCO GARRETT - broke briefly at the start. Lay inwards rounding the final bend.
Race 9   SELLING? CALL CRAIG AT HARCOURTS HCP TROT
ZONED SCARLETT - broke at the start losing considerable ground. Authorisation of 5th placing being awarded was withheld until the Stewards were satisfied the mare had complied with the Breaking Horse Regulations.
CHINESE WHISPER - pre-race warmed.
THAT'S THE STORY - hung outwards on various occasions during the running.
HUMBLE LADD - improved wide from the 1200 metres to reach the parked position near the 900 metres then weakened from the 400 metres. Driver R McIlwrick reported the gelding had trotted roughly over the latter stages of the race. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.
Junior driver K Tomlinson was spoken to advisedly regarding the manner she shifted ground abruptly inwards near the 450 metres when briefly inconveniencing an inside runner. Stewards reminded Miss Tomlinson of her obligations when shifting ground and advised better would be expected of her in future.
Race 10   SOUTHLAND HARNESS AWARDS SALUTE DAVE MCDONALD MOB PACE
LADY'S LASS - weakened rounding the final bend. Driver T Robertson will be spoken to in the coming days regarding the tactics he adopted in the early stages of the race.
DALLAS GRIMES - raced wide in the early stages.
AMERICAN EYRETIME - raced wide without cover in the early stages.
FANCY - raced wide rounding the final bend. When questioned regarding the performance driver M Williamson advised the filly had pulled hard early and had over-raced on occasions thereafter.
MAJOR SASS - raced three-wide with cover in the early stages, then three-wide without cover from the 1600 metres prior to reaching the lead near the 1000 metres.
Driver T Robertson was spoken to regarding the tactics he adopted at the start of the race when his horse remained on the speed. Mr Robertson reported his horse had worked well during the week and he wanted to race in a handy position and trail one of the favourite runners which he believed would come round to the lead. Mr Robertson further commented that when he observed Mr B Williamson on DALLAS GRIMES activate gear when attempting to progress forward, he made the decision to retain the lead rather than trail that runner as he believed DALLAS GRIMES was not travelling well enough to take him into the finish. Stewards noted Mr Robertson's comments.
