Race 1   HAPPY BIRTHDAY BRAX HANDICAP TROT
DEVEREAUX - reared and then broke at the start losing ground. Broke again rounding the first turn losing considerable ground. Broke briefly passing the 1200m.
ISAAC H - broke near the 1800m and trailed the field throughout.
LITTLEBITOFLOVE - slow away
GRIFFINS HALL - slow away. Lay in near the 1200m and continued to lay in at various stages. Broke with 75m to run.
Race 2   THE CLUBHOUSE SPORTS BAR MOBILE PACE
CASSIS - weakened out inside the 400m inconveniencing a trailing runner.
IDEAL TOMADO - inconvenienced by a tiring runner inside the 400m.
MISS TAKEN - paced roughly at various stages and in particular rounding the final turn. A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormality.
Race 3   BLACK DOG FURNITURE MOBILE PACE
MR INCREDIBLE - lay out when attempting to use the passing lane throughout the run home.
THE BATMOBILE - over-raced middle stages.
UNFINISHED BUSINESS - raced three wide early before reaching the position outside the leader. Forced wider passing the 750m. Weakened inside the final 500m.
VANHALEM - Driver C Sharpe was shown the replay of the run home and warned to change his whip action.
COUNT LANDECK - raced three wide without cover throughout. Forced four and five wide rounding the final turn. Driver M Northcott was questioned in relation to the tactics she adopted during the middle stages when electing to remain three wide rather than restrain to the rear of the field to obtain a position closer to the markers. Miss Northcott subsequently pleaded guilty to a charge under rule 868(2) in that she failed to take all reasonable and permissible measures during the middle stages to ensure that her horse was given full opportunity to win or obtain the best possible finishing position. After hearing submissions on penalty the JCA suspended Miss Northcott's Amateur driver's licence upto and including 17 September 2020 along with a $500 fine being imposed.
CLIFTON FLUTTER - raced four then three wide early before being improved to the lead passing the 1600m. Shifted out passing the 750m forcing an outside runner wider on the track and presented the trailing MARIANNA BROMAC with an inside run. Driver A Temu, assisted by T Macfarlane, defended an associated charge under Rule 869(3)(b) on the grounds that she drove carelessly in this incident. The JCA upheld the charge and after hearing submissions on penalty suspended Mrs Temu's Amateur driver's licence upto and including 29 May 2020 along with a fine of $200 being imposed.
EDAMFAST - trainer A Matthews was fined $50 for the late notification of the addition of removable deafeners. Held up throughout the run home when unable to secure clear running.
Race 4   DUNSTAN HORSE FEEDS MOBILE PACE
THE BANKER - broke shortly after the start and galloped a considerable distance before settling. A warning was placed on the gelding's barrier manners. Paced roughly rounding the final turn.
Race 5   WOODLANDS STUD MOBILE TROT
THIS SKY ROX - tired from the 400m.
THE LAST GAMBLE - broke in the early stages of the score up and was back from position at dispatch.
LADY BE GOOD - held up final turn and early stages of the run home.
GREAT FANTASY - held up rounding the final turn.
BATTLE COMMANDER - broke under pressure inside the 50m and lost ground before finishing in 5th place. Authorisation of this runner's 5th placing was withheld until it was confirmed that the gelding had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation and was not lapped on by the 6th placed THE LAST GAMBLE.
MI ANNA - broke in the middle stages of the score up losing considerable ground.
Race 6   AMBER GARDEN CENTRE MOBILE PACE
EMMBER - the start was delayed briefly due to this filly's gear requiring attention.
WILDESTDREAMS - held up final turn and throughout the run home.
PANDA GIRL - had difficulty obtaining free running early in the home straight before being held up near the 50m.
COTTON SOCKS - held up over the final stages of the run home.
TORO DELAGO - held up final turn.
Race 7   MITRE 10 MEGA CAMBRIDGE HANDICAP PACE
BUGALUGS - held up final turn.
MAC'S TOMADO - broke briefly at the start.
MACH LITTLE SOAKY - over-raced middle stages after having surrendered the lead.
Race 8   BARRETT HOMES - MAKING THINGS HAPPEN MOBILE PACE
CASHLODO FLYBYE - restrained early and then raced at the rear. Held up final turn and then had difficulty securing clear running throughout the home straight.
ANAM NUNU - over raced-middle stages when leading.
FLEETING GRIN - paced roughly late in the run home after contacting the sulky wheel of CASHLODO FLYBYE. In considering this matter the Panel took into account that both runners shifted ground in the incident and no further action was deemed necessary.
DRESS SENSE - Driver S Butcher was cautioned for the manner in which he shifted ground outwards early in the run home which placed VIVA LAS VEGAS in restricted room.
VIVA LAS VEGAS - placed in restricted room early in the run home and had to be restrained by driver D Ferguson before then weakening over the final stages.
Race 9   DUAL CODE RACING APRIL 9TH HANDICAP TROT
MAJESTIC STRIDE - broke at the start losing ground before settling. Broke approaching the 2200m losing considerable ground.
DANKE - broke near the 2350m checking a trailing running and settled back in midfield.
SUPERFAST NINJA - broke shortly after the start losing considerable ground before settling at the rear. Held up final turn.
SUNNY PEGASUS - Trainer J Stormont was cautioned for presenting the gelding with an incorrect saddlecloth. Checked by a breaking runner near the 2300m. Broke inside the 1800m losing ground before settling.
STILL EYRE - held up final turn.
GREY STOKE - broke at the start losing ground before settling.
LUKYANOVA - tended to shift in under pressure throughout the run home.
Race 10   HARAS des TROTTEURS SIRES STAKES TROTTERS PRELUDE MOB TROT
CHICAGO H - was two lengths out of position at the start. Lost contact with the field during the running and broke passing the 400m.
