Race 1   EQUINE INVESTMENTS LTD TROT
PLAY DOUGH - when questioned regarding the improved performance, trainer C McDowell advised that he had lightened the horse's workload since disappointing at its last start and added the horse had capitalised on an economical run throughout.
ONE TWO MENNY - fractious prior to the start. Began awkwardly. Trotted roughly at various stages during the running. Broke near the 400 metres.
ZSAHARA - broke after 200 metres.
ALDEBARAN BELLE - broke shortly after the start.
MAJESTIC JAG - hung outwards in the middle stages. Driver M Williamson reported he did not activate the removable deafeners due to the gelding trotting roughly in the straights.
RUBY SEDDON - trainer J Howe was cautioned for presenting RUBY SEDDON without the notified half hopples. Broke near the 400 metres.
JACKS MATE - driver K O'Reilly reported he was unable to fully drive the gelding out in the home straight due to the horse trotting roughly.
GOOSE HEALY - broke at the start.
IT WASN'T ME - trotted roughly in the early stages. Over-raced around the first bend.
JAGUAR BAY - broke near the 400 metres.

MISS BEHAVIN - held up for clear racing room until late in the run home.
FRANCO HATTON - broke at the start.
HELLO ADELE - broke at the start.
WEBS REACTOR - over-raced middle stages. Paced roughly passing the 350 metres after becoming awkwardly placed close to the sulky of ALBASINI. Driver C Markham reported he would be recommending gear changes. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding. Mr Markham was cautioned for the manner he shifted ground near the 300 metres when placing an outside runner in restricted room.
SOCIAL MEDIA - broke at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
BENBRAE - over-raced middle stages. Driver G O'Reilly reported the gelding had been striking its sulky wheels.
BUCKSKIN - held up early and middle stages of the run home. Paced roughly over the concluding stages and had to be steadied.
FULHAM DANCER - placed in restricted room near the 300 metres. Trainer/driver R Holmes reported the filly would be sent for a spell.
ALBASINI - raced wide without cover from the 1400 metres.
Race 3   PHILIP WAREING LTD MOBILE PACE
LIVING DELIGHT - compounded from the 700 metres.
SILENT SHADOW - paced roughly on the final bend.
MIDNIGHT IN MEMPHIS - raced wide until reaching the parked position near the 1400 metres. Compounded from the 700 metres. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
CHAL BE - when spoken to regarding the improved performance, trainer/driver J Curtin advised that the gelding had worked hard in the early and middle stages at its last start when racing wide on the track however today had been better suited when racing in a handy position.
MIGHTY REACTOR - hung inwards on the bend with 1100 metres to run and lost ground. Paced roughly final bend.
ITZ THE CON ARTIST - when questioned regarding the performance, driver S Ottley could offer no explanation. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Co-trainer B Hill advised he would have blood tests taken in the coming days and notify the results to Stewards.
BEEPS - held up early stages of the run home.
JEREMY WELLS - weakened final bend. When spoken to regarding the performance, trainer/driver J Harrington advised he was disappointed with the performance and the gelding would be sent for a spell.
VIOLET KNIGHT - slow to leave the pre-race formation and was slightly out of position at the start.
TICKING OVER - cleared from the unruly for future mobile starts.
Co-Trainer B Hill advised Stewards on 14 February that blood tests revealed no abnormalities with ITZ THE CON ARTIST after its disappointing performance at Methven on Sunday with Mr Hill adding that the filly will return to workouts before resuming.
Race 4   NEVELE R FILLIES SERIES (HEAT 2) MOBILE PACE
LULU LE MANS - broke at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the filly.
VESNINA - paced roughly over the final 100 metres. Driver B Butt reported he was unable to drive the filly out over the concluding stages.
SILVER LADY - paced roughly leaving the final bend.
PEARL HARBOUR - hampered by a breaking runner at the start. Held up until late in the run home.
Race 5   DJ PEARCE GRAZING / RAKAIA SEED CLEANING HANDICAP TROT
ROCKNPOP - fractious prior to the start and caused a delay after backing into the 10 metre barrier strand with the field having to be reassembled. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
ALADDIN SANE - broke with 350 metres to run.
ALI LINDENNY - over-raced through the middle stages when in the parked position.
BREENYS CULLEN - trotted roughly in the early stages. Broke with 400 metres to run hampering trailing runners.
MADAM SASS - broke at the start. Hampered and broke near the 400 metres.
BAXTER - hampered near the 400 metres. Trotted roughly in the home straight. When spoken to regarding the performance, driver B Hope reported the gelding had lost momentum when being hampered on the final bend however had failed to finish the race off as expected and had been disappointing.
RED HOT POKER - over-raced through the middle stages.

BEAU VISTA - hung outwards and broke after 100 metres.
DARRYL KERRIGAN - broke at the start.
LEADING THE WAY - held up early and middle stages of the home straight.
EASTWOOD ISABELLA - paced roughly in the early stages. Weakened final bend.
PEMBROOK LEGACY - raced four wide final bend.
IT'S ME - permission was granted for the horse to race in alternate colours. Paced roughly when held up on the final bend.
AVA ADORE - held up early and middle stages of the home straight.
FLETCH - held up early and middle stages of the home straight.
TO RI CAITLIN - broke at the start hampering outside runner.
LETS HUSTLE - hampered by a breaking runner at the start.
SPANNA - over-raced through the middle stages. Lay inwards in the home straight.
FLAMBOYANT - held up final bend.
GOTTA FUTURE - hampered shortly after the start and broke.
Race 7   JOHN MORRISON FARRIER/YALDHURST HOTEL MOBILE PACE
CAESAR'S QUEST - weakened final bend.
BETSTARS BLUE JEAN - compounded from the 1200 metres. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Stood down pending one satisfactory trial. Driver M Lewis was cautioned for using her whip when out of contention.
SHEZSOMETHINSPECIAL - weakened from the 400 metres. Stewards questioned driver D Keast regarding the tactics he adopted in the middle stages when challenging for the lead for a considerable period. Mr Keast explained that he had been instructed to improve forward as the horse is one paced and had been racing well when close to the speed in recent starts. Mr Keast added that after being unsuccessful in reaching the lead he elected to maintain his position outside the leader to ensure there was no lessening of the pace as he felt the mare is best suited to racing at an even tempo. After considering his explanation, Stewards cautioned Mr Keast for his lack of judgement in not giving his runner more respite in the middle stages and advised him not to drive in a manner which leaves himself open to query.
MADIBA - weakened final bend.
VOODOO PRIESTESS - trainer B O'Meara was cautioned for presenting VOODOO PRIESTESS without the notified sliding blinds. Held up final bend. When questioned regarding the performance, Mr O'Meara advised he was disappointed with the effort. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a slow recovery.
OHOKA CHOPPER - weakened final bend.
SONIC REIGN - briefly locked wheels with MINI MINE YET near the 700 metres after being shifted wider on the track. Raced four wide final bend.

MISS MUCHO - came together with FIRENZE AMORE leaving the pre-race formation and was back slightly at the start.
FIRENZE AMORE - hung inwards leaving the pre-race formation and came together with MISS MUCHO and as a result was out of position at the start. Paced roughly on various occasions during the running. Broke late in the run home. When spoken to regarding the performance, trainer S Dolan advised he was disappointed with the effort and would have his veterinarian examine the mare in the coming days. Stewards will follow up with Mr Dolan.
Trainer S Dolan advised Stewards on 10 February that FIRENZE AMORE was found to have a fractured cannon bone following its race at Methven on Sunday with surgery being undertaken.
Trainer J McDermott advised Stewards on 15 February that following its disappointing performance CAESAR'S QUEST has been treated for an infection with his intention to resume at Waikouaiti TC on 23 February.
Race 8   PGG WRIGHTSON LTD MOBILE PACE
EL CHAPO - broke briefly in the early stages of the score up. Broke again shortly after the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
IFYOUSAYSO - hung outwards leaving the final bend.
MICK BETH - lay inwards in the early stages of the run home when being shifted wider on the track by an inside runner.
THE GOLDEN BOY - raced wide early stages. Hampered be a breaking runner near the 1800 metres.
CHAMPAGNEANDWINE - hampered be a breaking runner near the 1800 metres.
LILAC STAR - broke briefly in the score up. Over-raced middle stages. Held up early stages of the run home.
SOUNDSLIKEART - hung throughout the run home. Crowded over the concluding stages.
GLEN ELGIN TOMSON - held up leaving the final bend and in the early stages of the run home.
THREE IDEAS - broke in the score up and was out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Broke again on the first bend hampering trailing runners. Driver B Hope advised that the gelding will be checked over during the week by their veterinarian and will advise Stewards of these results.
The connections of THREE IDEAS advised Stewards on 14 February that a veterinary examination including x-rays of a stifle revealed no abnormalities with the gelding continuing with its current campaign.
Race 9   GARRARD'S HORSE & HOUND HORORATA CUP (HANDICAP PACE)
TRACKSAREFORTRAINS - hung inwards racing into the first bend and struck a pylon.
THE MAROON MARAUDER - broke at the start.
BE MINE TONIGHT - fractious prior to the start causing a delay. Broke at the start. Stood down pending one satisfactory trial. Over-raced through the middle stages. Driver B Butt advised that he had been unable to active the removable deafeners due to the cord becoming entangled. Mr Butt was cautioned for failing to return his foot to the sulky footrest after attempting to activate gear in the home straight.
HAYDEN'S MEDDLE - over-raced middle stages.
JAY TEE TYRON - lay inwards throughout the run home.
Race 10   LONZA NZ LTD TROT
BJ LINDENNY - held up early stages of the run home.
SOME TIME - broke at the start.
GRAND PRINCESS - trotted roughly in the home straight.
I DREAM OF JEANNIE - trotted roughly racing into the first bend. Broke near the 350 metres. A warning was placed on the racing record of the filly.
DORA EXPLORER - raced wide around the first bend.
DON'T LOOK BACK - broke at the start.
SUN SWINGER - hung outwards throughout the home straight. Trainer K Williams advised he would be making gear changes prior to the horse resuming. Driver M Williamson was spoken to advisedly to make a greater effort to maintain a straight course in the run home.

STAR REACTOR - over-raced early and middle stages. The chin rest on the mare became displaced shortly after the start.
SHEELASINLEAGUE - paced roughly and broke passing the 700 metres. When spoken to regarding this, driver K Tomlinson reported the mare had over-reacted after being shifted wider on the track by an inside runner. Cleared from the unruly for future mobile starts.
