Race 1   IRT HARNESS JEWELS 2020 TICKETS ON SALE NOW MOBILE PACE
SHEZA KAMIKAZE - weakened home straight.
LIZZIE MARA - slow to begin. Weakened passing the 400m.
OPTICAL ILLUSION - Junior Driver L Whittaker, assisted by J Dickie, was cautioned for allowing the colt to shift inwards under pressure over the latter stages of the run home which resulted in TICKTOCKPOCKETWATCH being taken down into the passing lane.
BLAKE - several lengths back from the Unruly position at dispatch.
Race 2   FEB 21ST LADIES NIGHT AT CAMBRIDGE RACEWAY MOBILE PACE
TO SIR WITH LOVE - Trainer A Donnelly was reminded of her obligations under the General Programme Regulations to have her mare on course at the required time. Paced roughly then broke entering the first turn checking a trailing runner which also broke, with a number of runners having to take evasive action losing ground as a result. A Protest was lodged Under Rule 869A(2) against this mare's 1st placing on the grounds of alleged interference to the second placed MAJOR BLINK. After hearing the relative evidence and viewing the replays the JCA upheld the Protest and relegated TO SIR WITH LOVE to 2nd place in behind MAJOR BLINK. A warning was placed on TO SIR WITH LOVE's racing manners. Authorisation of TO SIR WITH LOVE's second placing following the Protest was further withheld until Stewards were satisfied that the mare had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation.
MR INCREDIBLE - inconvenienced by a breaking runner entering the first turn. Unsuccessfully contested for the mid-race lead before being restrained to trail the leader near the 1200m. Locked wheels briefly passing the 100m after shifting outwards marginally when improving in the passing lane.
DRUM WITHERS - locked wheels briefly passing the 100m after shifting inwards marginally when weakening.
JACKHAMMER JOE - inconvenienced by a breaking runner entering the first turn.
BETTER THAN MOST - inconvenienced by a breaking runner entering the first turn.
MAJOR BLINK - badly hampered by a breaking runner rounding the first turn losing approximately 5 lengths as a result. Following a Protest MAJOR BLINK was promoted from its 2nd placing to 1st placing.
LYNTON CREEK - Driver D Butcher reported that the gelding lost a shoe during the running.
RAINBOW WIRI - held up final turn and throughout the run home.
ALLONBLACK - checked by a breaking runner and galloped entering the first turn and was retired from the event.
Race 3   WOODLANDS 2020 YEARLINGS - WOODLANDSSTUD.CO.NZ MOBILE PACE
The start of this race was delayed by approximately 3 minutes due to the Protest in the previous race.
SCOTTISH POACHER - weakened final stages.
MANHATTAN SUNSHINE - paced roughly passing the 1100m when leading. When questioned regarding the performance Driver T Cameron stated that the filly had disappointed when failing to run on over the final stages after having set its own terms in front. A post race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnomality.
RECKON IM SMART - held up rounding the final turn and then again near the 50m.
PANSPACIFICJET - lay in over the latter stages of the score up and was back from position at dispatch. A warning was placed on the gelding's mobile barrier manners. Continued to lay in at various stages.
Race 4   HYPEDUP.CO.NZ SP HANDICAP TROT
STOW - broke passing the 300m soon settling.
RAVE NATION - held up briefly early in the run home and shifted grounds inwards to obtain clear running.
THE LAST GAMBLE - stood on the mark when the barriers were released losing considerable ground and trailed the field throughout.
MUMS STAR - trotted unevenly throughout the run home and could not be driven out to full advantage.
PRESIDENTIAL JEWEL - raced three wide early before being improved to lead near the 1450m.
SAVITSKAYA - raced three wide early and middle stages before crossing outside the leader near the 1150m. Broke shortly after losing ground before settling and race wide for the remainder before commencing to weaken and then breaking passing the 300m.
ALDEBARAN BONNY - broke near the 1150m but soon settled and was then taken forward to race outside the leader near the 800m.
Race 5   HELLO WORLD TRAVEL MOBILE PACE
J BEE - badly hampered by a weakening runner passing the 800m.
FORWARDY - compounded from the 900m and was retied from the event. A post race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormality. A warning was placed on the gelding's racing performance record.
THE BLUE BEAT - raced three wide over the early and middle stages before obtaining a position in the one out running line inside the 1600m.
Race 6   SHOOF WAIKATO BOP TROTTERS CUP FINAL HCP TROT
GREAT FANTASY - shifted out when leading on straightening for the run home.
CAITLIN'S SURPRISE - slow to begin. Held up rounding the final turn. Raced in restricted room early in the run home when attempting to improve to the inside of FIRA in the passing lane. Driver P Fleming was spoken to advisedly for shifting the mare inwards and racing over the marker peg at the entrance to the passing lane.
FIRA - contacted several marker pegs final turn.
INVICTUS - Driver A Drake reported that he did not activate the removable deafeners due to having the field covered.
RED CASTLETON - held up early final turn.
SAINT MICHEL - raced keenly middle stages. Lay in and broke passing the 300m losing its chance.
MR GOOD AND EVIL - broke near the 400m losing its chance.
GERSHWIN - broke briefly when attempting to improve three wide near the 1700m.
Race 7   BAYLEYS THAMES/COROMANDEL PACERS CUP HCP PACE
BUGALUGS - broke at the start losing ground before settling.
IMAJOLLYWALLY - broke at the start settling towards the rear.
MACH LITTLE SOAKY - weakened in the lead inside the final 500m. A post race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormality. Junior Driver L Whittaker was issued a Minor Infringement Notice after he reported that he failed to activate the hopple shorteners and fined $100.00.
YOUNG CONQUEROR - broke at the start but soon settled.
MR KIWI - raced three wide from the 1100m before crossing to the parked position near the 500m but only battled over the final stages to finish in 7th place beaten 19 lengths. When questioned regarding the performance Driver J Dickie advised that the 30m handicap and having to work mid-race to get handy had taken its toll over the final stages. Mr Dickie further stated that the gelding would be freshened prior to resuming.
Race 8   DUNSTAN HORSE FEEDS MOBILE PACE
DUN IT BAD - Driver C Jamieson was advised to correct his whip action.
COUNT LANDECK - commenced to weaken passing the 400m. A post race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormality.
ANAM NUNU - broke entering the first turn losing its chance and was retired from the event. A warning was placed on the mare's racing manners record.
Race 9   BLACK DOG FURNITURE TROT (STAND)
MORGANA - broke shortly after the start losing considerable ground. Authorisation of this runners's 4th placing was withheld until it was confirmed that the mare had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation.
JUST PLAIN LUCKY - broke at the start and trailed the field.
QUEEN OF STRATHFIELD - broke near the 300m losing its chance. Driver T Cameron reported that he sustained a deflated tyre rounding the first bend.
PARIS UNDER SIEGE - broke shortly after the start losing ground. Broke again passing the 1800m losing its chance.
ISAAC H - broke passing the 400m losing its chance.
