Race 4 - ALABAR SIRES STAKES 3YO FILLIES CHAMPIONSHIP MOBILE PACE
Trainer R Dunn advised Stewards on 9 January that blood tests taken from NEED YOU NOW following its disappointing performance at Alexandra Park on 31 December revealed no abnormalities. Mr Dunn added that in his opinion the filly may have been feeling the effects of two hard runs earlier in the month.

Race 1   DUNSTAN HORSE FEEDS MOBILE TROT
THE LAST GAMBLE - raced erratically in the middle stages of the score up inconveniencing a trailing runner.
KEYSTONE CAVALIER - broke passing the 200m losing its chance.
SPLITTING IMAGE - broke passing the 1400m and was retired from the event.
MAJESTIC SUNRISE - broke shortly after the start losing its chance.
GREAT FANTASY - Trainer L Edwards was cautioned for presenting the gelding with an incorrect saddlecloth number. Raced three wide early.
LEESA CASTLETON - inconvenienced early in the score up and was back several lengths at dispatch.
RAVE NATION - broke late in the score up losing considerable ground.
SAVITSKAYA - broke passing the 800m losing ground before settling.

COMEDY ACT - paced roughly rounding the first turn and again in the run home.
CHALLENGER - raced three wide early before crossing to race outside the leader near the 1000m.
BART MAGUIRE - raced three wide early and middle stages before crossing to race outside the leader near the 900m.
SUPER ACTOR - held up rounding the final turn and early stage of the run home.
YANKEE DANCER - held up final turn and early stages of the run home.
FLEETING MAJOR - Driver K Marshall was cautioned for failing to activate the deafeners during this event.
DOWNTOWN BABE - inclined to lay out early in the run home with Driver M McKendry not activating the deafeners as a result.
Race 3   gavelhouse.com MOBILE PACE
EMMI ROSE - lay in and contacted marker pegs rounding the final turn.
SHEIKH YABOOTY - held up early final turn and then had difficulty obtaining clear running throughout the home straight. Driver A Poutama was cautioned for the manner in which he shifted ground inside the final 50m which placed an outside runner in restricted room.
IDEAL AGENT - placed in restricted room inside the 50m by an inside runner.
STARRY STAR - unable to hold the back of IDEAL AGENT inside the 1100m which enabled KOLOVOS to shift down to fill the position.
KOLOVOS - raced three wide early and middle stages. Driver S Abernethy reported that he had been unable to activate the deafeners due to the release cord breaking after having become entangled on the harness.
THE BLUE BEAT - had some difficulty obtaining clear running throughout the home straight on the final occasion.
Race 4   P & M QUALITY PAINTERS MOBILE PACE
CLASSIE REACTOR - commenced to over-race after showing early gate speed before being taken forward to lead passing the 1000m.
BUGALUGS - paced roughly early in the score up.
PARKER - raced three wide at the rear over the early stages before improving forward entering the back straight the final time but was obliged to remain three wide without cover. Driver S Quill was questioned in relation to the tactics he adopted. Mr Quill stated that he had been instructed by Trainer S Telfer to go forward when the early pace steadied and look to obtain either the lead or the parked position however he had been unable to muster sufficient speed to challenge YOUNG CONQUEROR for the position outside the leader and had then been obliged to remain three wide without cover thereafter. Trainer S Telfer confirmed the instructions and stated that PARKER raced best when driven on the speed as the entire tended to switch off when driven in behind. Stewards noted the respective comments. Mr Quill was charged under Rule 869(3)(f) on the grounds that he drove improperly rounding the final turn by shifting PARKER wider on the track which presented a run to IVANA FLYBYE (B Butcher). After hearing initial evidence and viewing the replay's the JCA adjourned the matter to a date, time and venue to be fixed. This matter was reconvened at the Cambridge meeting on the 11 January and after hearing further evidence Stewards sought leave to amend the charge to an alleged breach of Rule 869(3)(b) 'Careless driving' with the same particulars. Mr Quill admitted the breach and after hearing submissions on penalty the JCA suspended Mr Quill's driver's licence from the conclusion of racing on the 18 January upto and including 26 January 2020 (2 days) and imposed a fine of $400.
Race 5   LES HARRISON TRANSPORT CAMBRIDGE FLYING STAKES (MOBILE TROT)
GERSHWIN - galloped briefly at the start losing ground before settling at the rear. A warning was placed on the gelding's mobile barrier manners record. Broke again approaching the 400m and lost its chance. A Protest was lodged against this runner's promoted 5th placing on the grounds that it galloped in excess of 150m rounding the final turn. The Protest was not contested and the gelding was disqualified by the JCA.
FORGET THE PRICE TAG - broke passing the 200m and failed to settle. A Protest was lodged against the gelding's 5th placing on the grounds that it galloped in excess of 50m inside the final 200m. The Protest was not contested and FORGET THE PRICE TAG was disqualified by the JCA.
WINTERFELL - underwent a veterinary examination and was cleared to start after rearing and falling to the track when having gear adjustments made at the marshalling area. Raced three wide early.
Race 6   McMILLAN EQUINE FEEDS FLYING MILE (MOBILE PACE)
MACH SHARD - trailed on the outer before shifting out in front of THEFIXER approaching the 800m and then improved to race outside the leader near the 650m but only battled in the run home to finish in 5th place beaten 3.3 lengths. When questioned Driver Z Butcher could offer no explanation for the performance.
THEFIXER - commenced to improve three wide from the 1000m but was forced four wide passing the 700m and raced wide for the remainder before failing to run on to finish in 7th place beaten 4.8 lengths. Driver N Rasmussen reported that the gelding cast its near fore shoe shortly after the start.
STAR GALLERIA - held up early in the run home and had to shift ground outwards to obtain clear running passing the 50m.
CHECK IN - contacted several marker pegs rounding the home turn when held up for clear running.
Race 7   GRASS TRACK RACE MEETING AT ROTORUA JAN 26TH MOBILE TROT
SAFRAKOVA - lay out at various stages when racing midfield on the inner. Lay in rounding the final turn. Driver L Chin admitted a charge under Rule 869(2) in that he used his whip on more occasions than permitted under Clause (b) of the 'Use of Whip' Regulation. The JCA imposed a fine of $200.00.
LUKYANOVA - lay in under pressure throughout the run home.
PHOEBE IMPERIAL - back a length at dispatch.
