Pre-race blood testing was carried out at today's meeting. Following the abandonment of Race 8, Club Officials, Drivers, Trainers, Board members of HRNZ in consultation with Stipendiary Stewards met and unanimously decided to abandon the remainder of the card. |

RUSSIAN EXPRESS - raced four-wide from the 700 metres. Driver A Edge admitted a breach of the Push Out Rule when forcing RAH DE RAH wider on the track passing the 1200 metres. After viewing the relevant replays and hearing submissions on penalty the JCA imposed a fine of $250. | |

KENSINGTON BILL - improved three-wide to the parked position passing the 1000 metres. When spoken to regarding the non activation of the hopple shorteners which were only up marginally, junior driver B Hope advised his instructions were to leave the shorteners in if the gelding was pacing tractably. This was confirmed by stable representative J Dunn. |
