Trainer F Mitchell advised Stewards that blood tests taken from WAINGARO MARA following its poor performance showed that gelding was severely dehydrated and has since been treated by his vet and cleared to race.
Race 9 - FLYING MILE JAN 10TH SAVE THE DATE HANDICAP PACE

Race 1   LARNOCH STUD MOBILE PACE
ONEDIN PUNTER - Checked by a breaking runner losing six lengths approaching the 500 metres.
THE KAPITI EXPRESS - Over-raced early.
THE NIGHT HAWK - Raced three wide early. Nearside blinker became partially detached during the running. Broke near the 500 metres losing ground, inconveniencing a trailing runner.
Race 2   LEVIN WOOLBUYERS MOBILE PACE
A false start was declared by the Starter Mr Phillips after he mistakenly miscounted the number of horses on the front row.
HE'S GRATIS - Paced roughly early. Slow to begin. Hampered by breaking runner near 1200 metres.
LINCOLN LOVELY - Broke near the 1200 metres, hampering a trailing runner.
PURE DESIRE - Raced three wide early. Driver P Fleming was fined $200 by the JCA after he admitted a charge of using his whip inside the final 400 metres in contravention of clause (b) of the 'Use of the Whip Regulation'.
AMARO - Paced roughly on numerous occasions in the run home and broke for a stride passing the 100 metres.
MARTIN MCGUINNESS - Held up early in the run home.
Race 3   CONNIE STEWART NZ SOTHERBY'S INTERNATIONAL REALTY MOB PACE
MY MATE BEN - Held up and shifted ground outward in an attempt to find clear racing room over the early stages in the run home. Driver M House advised he did not activate the removable deafeners.
ARTFILLY CRAFTED - Held up early in the run home.
PLAY BALL - Broke start losing ground. A warning was placed on the gelding's mobile manners.
LINCOLN MOMENT - Over-raced early and middle stages.
Race 4   OSBORNE GROUP CHARTERED ACCOUNTANTS MOBILE PACE
AURELIA COTTA - After being fractious prior to the start the mare was sent to the Unruly position on the second line for the race. Again fractious early in the score up and was at least 50 metres out of position at the start. The mare was declared Unruly for future mobile racing.
TOMMY TAHI - Paced roughly shortly after the start and approaching the first turn.
CARSE O FERN CULLY - Broke in the score up losing its chance. Broke when well out of contention near the 800 metres. A warning was placed on the gelding's mobile barrier manners.
INQUISITO - Paced roughly shortly after the start. Raced three wide from inside the 1300 metres.
SPORT MENTAL - Broke entering the home straight hampering trailing runner. A warning was placed on the racing record of the mare.
RAZCAL ALLEY - Hampered by a breaking runner near the 400 metres.
