MYANMAR PRINCE - slow to begin. Hampered by a breaking runner near the 400 metres.
BUDVAR EYRE - broke at the start and shifted outwards abruptly checking a trailing runner. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Broke again near the 400 metres hampering trailing runners. A warning was also placed on the racing record of the gelding. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Driver G Smith advised he would be recommending gear changes be made prior to the second day. Placed on the Unruly for future standing starts at the request of trainer M Brown.
ARCHAIC LUSTRE - the rein pricker was removed prior to the start.
PEMBROOK TILLY - hampered by a breaking runner near the 400 metres.
BEEN TO JENNY'S - lay outwards in the home straight.
HANDSOME HARRY - hampered by a breaking runner near the 400 metres. Lay inwards in the home straight. Junior driver B Hope (who declined the assistance of a senior driver) admitted a breach of Rule 869(2) in that he used his whip on more occasions than permitted by Clause (b) of the Use of Whip Regulations. After hearing submissions on penalty, the JCA suspended Mr Hope's licence from the conclusion of racing on 2 January 2020 up to and including 10 January 2020 (5 days).
PENNETTA - broke near the 1400 metres.
OLDE OAK ELLIE - hampered by breaking runner near the 400 metres.
THE DIVA - paced roughly in the home straight and had to be steadied.
NADIRA FRANCO - checked and broke at the start losing all chance.

SA FACT - checked by a breaking runner near the 1150 metres. Hung outwards final bend. Held up for clear racing room for the majority of the home straight.
LYNIES PINNY - checked by a breaking runner near the 1100 metres.
WEBS REACTOR - raced wide early stages.
WESTBURN VISTA - the connections advised the mare would race without front shoes. Broke at the start.
PRODIGAL PETE - checked and broke near the 1100 metres.

NIZZARDA FRANCO - broke passing the 1200 metres checking trailing runners. Broke again late in the run home. A warning was placed on the racing record of the mare. Driver C Thornley reported the mare had been pacing roughly and he would be recommending alterations to the shoeing of the horse prior to the second day.
SAMARIAS MACH - checked by a breaking runner near the 1100 metres. Paced roughly and broke near the 150 metres.
BONNY'S GEM - checked by a breaking runner near the 1100 metres. Junior driver A Cameron was cautioned for the manner she used her whip in the home straight.
Race 3   WALLY FORSYTH MEMORIAL HANDICAP TROT
GOOSE HEALY - trainer J Withell was cautioned for presenting the gelding to race with half hopples which had not been notified. Broke briefly after 100 metres and again racing into the first bend. Over raced middle stages. Trotted roughly in the home straight.
PEAK AGAIN - broke at the start.
GOTTA TICKET - broke shortly after the start.
EILISH HALL - broke at the start. Placed on the unruly for future standing starts at the request of trainer J Curtin.
MAKURA - broke near the 300 metres hampering a trailing runner.
BUILD A BRIDGE - broke shortly after the start. Trotted roughly and hung outwards in the home straight. Co-trainer/driver J Geddes advised he was unable to fully drive the mare out as a result. Mr Geddes added he would not carry a whip for the mare's immediate engagements.
LITTLE MISS - hampered by a breaking runner near the 300 metres and broke briefly.
MY EYRE - broke at the start.
SCARLETT LANE - broke at the start.
DD'S SUPER STUART - over raced middle stages. Hung inwards on several occasions in the home straight causing driver J Markham some difficulty.
Race 4   TRT BUILDERS MOBILE PACE
CONQUISTADOR - broke late in the score up losing considerable ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the horse. Broke again near the 1300 metres. Driver C Thornley reported that one hopple shortener had activated prematurely.
TAUMALOLO - hung outwards in the home straight and had to be corrected by its driver G Smith. Came together with MOSSMAN late in the run home.
IREBY HUGO - crowded near the 100 metres. Lay outwards over the concluding stages.
MOCHA - broke shortly after the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Over-raced middle stages. Weakened final bend.
LILAC CHANGE - broke late in the score up. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Over raced middle stages.
MOSSMAN - broke briefly nearing the 1600 metres after racing greenly. Lay inwards late in the home straight and came together with TAUMALOLO over the concluding stages.
DIXIE REIGN - held up for clear racing room throughout the home straight.
MALINKA - hampered late in the score up by a breaking runner.

SHEZSOMETHINSPECIAL - over raced middle stages. Held up for clear racing room in the early and middle stages of the run home. Driver J Curtin was cautioned to exercise more care when shifting ground near the 100 metres when crowding an outside runner.
WILLACHY - lay outwards throughout the run home.
BETANCOURT - checked by a breaking runner near the 2100 metres.
JUST A SMILE - hung outwards passing the 2100 metres and broke after the mare's hind leg made contact with the sulky wheel of EVER SO BETTOR with trailing runners being checked. A warning was placed on the racing record of the mare.
REINIMIN PATRON - lay inwards in the home straight.
EVER SO BETTOR - had to be steadied approaching the 100 metres when crowded for racing room.
DASHING ART - broke briefly racing into the first bend. Hampered by a breaking runner near the 2100 metres. Broke again near the 1100 metres checking a trailing runner. A warning was placed on the racing record of the mare. Driver C Thornley advised the mare had been striking herself causing her to break. Mr Thornley added that he would be recommending gear changes for the second day.
RAZORS EDGE - raced wide early stages.
FIXED ODDS - hampered by a breaking runner near the 2100 metres. Hampered again near the 1100 metres. Cleared from the unruly for future mobile starts.
BOSSMARO - hampered by a breaking runner near the 2100 metres.
Race 6   PROPERTY BROKERS MOBILE PACE
OPAWA MACH - held up by a weakening runner rounding the final bend.
DONEGAL CARNBOUY - held up by a weakening runner rounding the final bend.
OMAR SHARIF - hung inwards and weakened final bend contacting several pylons.
FORTUNE TILLER - paced roughly through the early stages losing contact with the field. Continued to pace roughly through the middle stages. Driver H Clarke reported she would be recommending gear changes prior to the second day. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
BUSH MAN - broke racing into the first bend with the gelding losing the near front shoe. Over raced for a distance passing the 1700 metres when being restrained after being unsuccessful in challenging for the lead with driver G Smith then electing to progress forward near the 1500 metres.
SILENT RAPTURE - held up by a weakening runner rounding the final bend. Placed on the unruly for future mobile starts at the request of the connections.
Race 7   PULSE ENERGY WESTPORT CUP (HANDICAP PACE)
FYNN FROST - Stewards questioned driver K Cameron regarding the tactics he adopted near the 1400 metres when electing to maintain his position outside the leader when an opportunity existed to obtain cover. Mr Cameron explained that he was aware the three wide line had progressed outside him so attempted to wrest the lead off STARS TONIGHT. Mr Cameron added that after being unsuccessful in his challenge he elected to maintain the parked position as he was concerned he may be shuffled back through the field if he had restrained his runner. After hearing from Mr Cameron, Stewards took the matter no further. Mr Cameron admitted a breach of Rule 869(2) in that he used his whip on more occasions than permitted by Clause (b) of the Use of Whip Regulations. After hearing submissions on penalty, the JCA suspended Mr Cameron's licence from the conclusion of racing on 30 December 2019 up to and including 12 January 2020 (4 days).
STARS TONIGHT - paced roughly in the early stages of the home straight and had to be steadied.
THE KAIK - broke briefly at the start.
BOBBY T - held up leaving final bend.
AROCKNATTHEPARK - tangled away.
VINNIE RULZ - the connections advised the mare was racing in foal. Had difficulty obtaining clear racing room in the home straight.
TANGO TARA - raced wide middle stages. Driver J Curtin admitted a breach of Rule 869(2) in that he used his whip on more occasions than permitted by Clause (b) of the Use of Whip Regulations. After hearing submissions on penalty, the JCA suspended Mr Curtin's licence from the conclusion of racing on 30 December 2019 up to and including 12 January 2020 (4 days).
APOCALYPSE - raced wide without cover from the 1800 metres after being unsuccessful in progressing to the parked position through the straight with a lap to race. Weakened final bend.

GARRY'S LEGACY - briefly locked wheels with CANARDLY REMEMBER near the 450 metres.
TOMBELINA - held up early stages of the home straight.
MARKHAM EYRE - broke at the start losing all chance.
ZIPPIDY DOODAH - weakened final bend.
MARTIN JOHN - trainer A Stuart was cautioned for presenting the gelding to race with sliding blinds which had not been notified. Broke briefly at the start.
NUI BA DEN - broke briefly at the start.
CANARDLY REMEMBER - hung inwards and briefly locked wheels with GARRY'S LEGACY near the 450 metres after being shifted wider on the track. Paced roughly in the home straight.

Race 10   ROCHE FAMILY HANDICAP TROT
MAJESTIC ACTION - broke after 150 metres checking a trailing runner. Broke again near the 900 metres after racing over the crossing. A warning was placed on the racing record of the mare.
BAXTER - trotted roughly in the home straight and was unable to be fully driven out.
BRIGHT GLOW - driver I Cameron was cautioned for the manner he used his whip in the home straight.
MISS MOPPET - had to be steadied in the early stages after being placed in restricted room. Trotted roughly over the concluding stages.
YOUNG STRANGER - broke near the 450 metres and continued in a break for some distance despite the efforts of driver G Thornley.
FOREIGNER - lay outwards in the home straight.
