There was a delay to the start when KEN'S DREAM broke its overcheck.
PASTRANA - held up final bend. Hung inwards in the home straight.
SHES SO RIGHT - held up final bend.
COSMIC SUN - trotted roughly at various stages throughout the running. Lay inwards rounding the final bend making contact with several track markers.
YEA YOU - broke shortly after the start losing its chance.
LINE A LOVE - broke racing into the first bend.
KEN'S DREAM - underwent a pre-race veterinary examination after racing at Geraldine yesterday and was cleared to start. Broke shortly after the start. Trotted roughly before breaking again near the 1400 metres.
QUIK SHOT - broke shortly after the start.
WEEBEA STAR - trotted roughly around the bends. Broke near the 500 metres.
HASHTAG FAYE - broke leaving the final bend.
MAUI VACATION - weakened on the final bend.

NIGHT LIGHTS - held up throughout the run home.

DIXIE REIGN - hung inwards at various stages throughout the running. Held up early and middle stages of the run home.
POCKET ROCKNROLL - broke near the 500 metres checking a trailing runner. A warning was placed on the racing record of the mare. Driver M Williamson reported the mare had been striking its knees.
MINNELLI SMILE - held up on the final bend.
SHADOW AVEROSS - checked by a breaking runner near the 500 metres.
PRESIDENT PAT - hung outwards and paced roughly shortly after the start. Continued to pace roughly at various stages throughout the running.

Race 3   EQUINE VETERINARY SERVICES FILLIES & MARES HANDICAP TROT
LOOK BOTH WAYS - broke briefly near the 1000 metres, hampering trailing runner. Broke again near the 600 metres. A final warning was placed on the racing record of the mare. Trainer L Mosely advised he would be making gear changes prior to the mare resuming.
DON'T LOOK BACK - broke shortly after the start. Weakened from near the 600 metres. Driver G Smith reported the mare had trotted roughly throughout. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a slow recovery. Stewards will follow up with trainer D Gillespie in the coming days.
SUGAR CANE - underwent a pre-race veterinary examination after racing at Geraldine yesterday and was cleared to start. Fractious prior to the start and knocked a Starter's Assistant to the ground causing a delay. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Hampered by a breaking runner near the 1000 metres. Trotted roughly late in the run home and had to be steadied.
ALI LINDENNY - broke rounding the first bend, hampering trailing runner. Authorisation of 5th placing was withheld until Stewards were satisfied the mare had complied with the Breaking Horse Regulations.
ALVIRA HEST - hampered by a breaking runner on the first bend.

ONEDIN SMILER - hampered by a breaking runner near the 900 metres. Hung outwards on the final bend.

PRINCESS DANICA - broke shortly after the start. Hampered by a breaking runner near the 900 metres. Authorisation of 1st placing was withheld until Stewards confirmed the filly had complied with the Breaking Horse Regulations in the early stages.
BAILEYS DIAMOND - hampered by a breaking runner near the 900 metres. Paced roughly and had to be steadied near the 100 metres. Driver B Laughton reported he had been unable to fully drive the mare out over the concluding stages.
MISS BEHAVIN - hampered by a breaking runner near the 900 metres. Paced roughly near the 200 metres when attempting an inside run and struck and raced inside several track markers for a short distance. Authorisation of 3rd placing was withheld until Stewards were satisfied the mare had not gained an advantage when racing inside track markers in the home straight. Driver K Butt was warned for attempting a run when insufficient room existed.
PEMBROOK TILLY - hampered by a breaking runner near the 900 metres. Held up early in the run home.

ROCKNROLL SCOOTER - broke at the start. Hampered by a breaking runner near the 900 metres.
PANDA GIRL - hampered by a breaking runner near the 900 metres. Paced roughly early in the home straight and held up over the concluding stages. Co-trainer G Hope requested a post-race endoscopic examination of the mare which revealed mucus in the trachea. Stood down pending a veterinary clearance.

SIOUX PRINCESS - underwent a pre-race veterinary examination after racing at Geraldine yesterday and was cleared to start. Broke racing into the first bend. Trotted roughly in the home straight.

Race 6   MORRISONS SADDLERY & FEED MOBILE PACE
EJA PATRON - paced roughly near the 1600 metres hampering trailing runner. Held up throughout the run home. One number came adrift during the running.
SONIC REIGN - held up throughout the run home. Driver T Williams reported he did not activate the removable deafeners.
RIPSNORTER - over-raced middle stages.
ALL NUTS N BOLTS - raced wide around the first bend.
ADAM PATRON - co-trainer G Hope requested a post-race endoscopic examination of the gelding which revealed mucus in the trachea. Stood down pending a veterinary clearance.
PAT CAMPBELL - held up throughout the run home. Driver J Young-Grant reported she did not activate the removable deafeners.
VICTOR TANGO - paced roughly throughout. Hung inwards around the bends. Held up throughout the run home.
FRANCO SHERBORNE - hampered near the 1600 metres.
BOUND TO IMPRESS - the connections advised the mare was racing in foal. Raced wide on the final bend.
Race 7   MORE FM MOBILE PACE
FLY LIKA FALCON - hampered by a breaking runner near the 250 metres. Paced roughly late in the run home and had to be steadied.
MR CLOONEY - late scratching on veterinary advice at 3.17pm. A veterinary clearance is required prior to resuming.
MONGOLIAN CONQUEROR - broke leaving the final bend after hanging inwards despite the efforts of driver B Orange making contact with the sulky wheel of LAVER. While in a break both front hopple loops broke. This gear was inspected and found to be in satisfactory condition.
KASTELL BRIANT - hung outwards on the final bend.
TICKING OVER - weakened final bend. Hampered by a breaking runner late in the run home.
PERAKI REACTOR - over-raced middle stages. Hung inwards final bend when attempting to improve wide on the track. Continued to lay inwards in the home straight.
Race 8   TYRE GENERAL/FASTTRACK $2.5K ADDED TIMARU CUP (MOB PACE)
CHEEZEL - held up in the early and middle stages of the run home. Driver R Close was spoken to advisedly regarding having sufficient advantage when attempting to shift another runner wider near the 200 metres.
POCKET CALL - underwent a pre-race veterinary examination after racing at Geraldine yesterday and was cleared to start.
ANNA BARCLAY - crowded racing into the first bend and had to be steadied. Weakened from the 600 metres. Driver M Williamson reported the mare had over-raced throughout. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a slow recovery and minor muscle tie up.
SAM'S TOWN - hung inwards in the early stages despite the efforts of driver R May crowding an inside runner.
ENCHANTEE - held up for the majority of the home straight.
EUREKA - raced wide early stages. Had to be steadied passing the 1100 metres when placed in restricted room.
DOITSON - Driver B Butt was spoken to advisedly for shifting ground near the 1100 metres when placing an inside runner in restricted room.
Race 9   LASER ELECTRICAL TIMARU FILLIES & MARES MOBILE PACE
RUBY TUES BAY - held up early and middle stages of the run home.
SUPERSTAR LEGEND - broke racing into the first bend hampering trailing runners. Weakened near the 600 metres.
TALL POPPY - trainer S Dolan was warned for being late to notify the mare would be racing with sliding blinds. Hampered by a breaking runner racing into the first bend. Paced roughly throughout. Driver M Anderson reported he did not activate the blinds due to having the field covered. When questioned regarding the improved performance, trainer S Dolan advised the mare had been treated for a corn and he had made alterations to the shoeing. He also advised he had been transporting her to Rangiora Racecourse in recent weeks for fast work on a better surface in company which had helped the mare.
AMORE LANCOME - out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver B Butt. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Held up early and middle stages of the run home.
LILAC STAR - held up early stages of the run home.
BEAUDIENE OVERTAKE - was showing signs of lameness on return to the birdcage. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the horse to be lame in the right front leg and showing signs of muscle tie up. Stood down pending a veterinary clearance.
SHOT IN THE DARK - held up early in the run home.
VI LEE - broke in the early stages of the score up and was out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
NAVAGIO - hampered by a breaking runner racing into the first bend.
Race 10   TIMARU TWILIGHT RACES 7 JANUARY MOBILE PACE
MR MIDNIGHT - underwent a pre-race veterinary examination after racing at Geraldine yesterday and was cleared to start. Held up final bend.
HANDS UP JACK - raced wide early stages. Hung inwards and broke near the 200 metres.
CLIVE - hampered by a breaking runner near the 200 metres.
LEADING THE WAY - held up final bend and early stages of the run home. Hampered by a breaking runner near the 200 metres.
THE GOVERNOR - raced wide early stages.
TRIPLE BYPASS - raced wide early stages. Hampered by a breaking runner near the 200 metres.
BETTOR ROCK AGAIN - over-raced throughout. Driver G O'Reilly reported the gelding had been striking its sulky wheels throughout.
STUNIN MAGIC - lay outwards throughout the run home.
Race 11   BROSNAN TRANSPORT PASSING LANE MOBILE PACE
MAGICAL MELLISSA - hampered by a weakening runner on the final bend. Hung outwards leaving the final bend. Driver M Anderson reported the mare had paced roughly throughout.
GET IT ON - weakened from the 200 metres. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a high heart rate after the race and slow recovery. Stewards will follow up the recovery of the gelding in the coming days.
VIGOROSO - raced wide around the first bend.
VALZONA - hampered by a weakening runner on the final bend. Held up early stages of the run home.
GLACIER COASTER - over-raced early stages.
HILARIOUS PRINCE - underwent a pre-race veterinary examination after going down in the float when being transported to the course and was cleared to start. Hampered by a weakening runner on the final bend.
