Race 7 - SWEET LOU - FULL & CLOSED INVITED DRIVERS MOBILE PACE
Driver K Barclay defended a charge pursuant to Rule 869(3)(g) alleging the manner in which she drove TACT EZE in this race when applying a sustained pressure to the lead horse PADUKA was unreasonable and had diminished the chances of her horse finishing in its best possible position. After viewing the relevant replays and hearing evidence from the Stewards and Mrs Barclay the JCA reserved their decision.

Race 8 - HUNTER FAMILY HANDICAP PACE
The hearing was reconvened in which driver K Barclay defended a charge pursuant to Rule 869(2) alleging that she used her whip on more occasions than is permitted by Clause (b) of the Use of Whip Regulations. After viewing the relevant replays and hearing evidence from the Stewards and Mrs Barclay the JCA found the charge proved and imposed a suspension of Mrs Barclay's horse persons licence from 23rd November up to and including 6th December (3 days.)

Race 1   MUSCLE MASS AT NEVELE R STUD TROT
TOMMY TIDDLER - broke shortly after the start losing considerable ground. Lay inwards on the bend near the 900 metres and made contact with several track markers.
VICTORIA BAY - broke shortly after the start losing considerable ground. Again broke approaching the 1600 metres losing all chance.
SUSIES WAY - hung and raced ungenerously through the middle stages causing driver R McIlwrick some difficulty. When questioned regarding this Mr McIlwrick advised the mare was unsuited to the smaller track, he had changed the bit for today however he added the mare is still racing greenly and will be making further changes.
ROBO TROUBLE - lay inwards in the early stages of the run home. Stewards questioned driver A Beck in regards to the limited urgings he employed on the gelding over the concluding stages. Mr Beck explained that ROBO TROUBLE has a history of breaking when placed under pressure and due to this he was reluctant to vigorously drive the gelding to the line. Stewards deemed Mr Beck's explanation to be not unreasonable in the circumstances.
STAY ABOARD - broke at the start then settled into a pace having to be further restrained and lost its chance in consequence. Connections were advised the mare was stood down until such times as it can complete one satisfactory barrier trial. Trainer M Brown advised he would return the mare to a pacing gait and restrict immediate upcoming racing to mobile starts.
Race 2   A ROCKNROLL DANCE AT NEVELE R STUD MOBILE PACE
ANNIE FITZ - broke in the score-up checking FATHERDANTHERODEOMAN and necessitating a false start be declared. Driver C Ferguson advised he would remain in his allotted position for the restart. Held up rounding the final bend.
MAGNETIC WATCH - when questioned regarding the seemingly improved performance trainer R Swain advised the gelding had benefited from a drop in class and obtaining a soft lead throughout.
KAGEE VC - raced wide in the early stages.
FIRST SON - when questioned regarding the performance junior driver S Tomlinson could only advise she had been disappointed with the effort. Trainer S Matheson explained that from the draw (8) the horse had raced to his expectations. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.
ELLNBAC - slow to leave the pre-race circle however recovered to take up its allotted position at the dispatch.
BLACK OPS - raced wide in the early stages.
LADY'S LASS - over-raced through the middle stages.
Race 3   BOOK YOUR SPACE CUP DAY 25TH JANUARY MOBILE PACE
There was a slight delay to the start of this event due to MAGNETIC CHIME requiring a replacement sulky tyre.
FIREFOREFIDDLE - raced roughly approaching the first bend and had to be steadied by driver M Williamson.
LUCAS HOOD - raced keenly when held up rounding the final bend.
MILA KUNIS - raced wide in the early stages.
BUB'S VC - over-raced through the middle stages. Raced wide from the 900 metres.
LECONTE - held up for a short distance near the 250 metres.
MAGNETIC CHIME - lay outwards in the early stages.
KRAMER - over-raced on various occasions during the running. Lay inwards under pressure rounding the final bend and had to be steadied by driver J Morrison near the 200 metres.
Race 4   NEXT RACE DAY SATURDAY 7TH DECEMBER MOBILE PACE
CASSIUS BROMAC - driver B Barclay reported he did not activate the removable deafeners applied to the gelding due to having the field covered.
MR JINGLES - weakened from the 700 metres. When spoken to regarding this driver B McLellan expressed disappointment at the performance. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.
MAHARAJAH - raced wide from the 800 metres.
LATERINTHEDAY - broke just prior to the dispatch losing considerable ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
BARRA'S SOVEREIGN - broke in the score-up and was slightly out of position at the dispatch. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
Race 5   VINCENT AT ALABAR FILLIES & MARES MOBILE PACE
SHEZA BABE - broke in the first score-up losing ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Driver C Ferguson was spoken to and reminded of his obligation to take a breaking horse clear of other runners at the earliest opportunity. Hung inwards on the final bend with driver C Ferguson unable to sufficiently steer the mare and in consequence raced inside several track markers. Hampered near the 150 metres. When questioned regarding the performance driver C Ferguson could only advise of the above mentioned steering issues and added it was his belief the mare would now be sent for a spell. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the mare may have choked down.
SNOWY DANA - raced roughly entering the first bend. Over-raced in the early stages when being restrained to take cover. Broke passing the 1800 metres hampering A SMIDGEN MORE.
A SMIDGEN MORE - hampered by a breaking runner passing the 1800 metres.
SWELL TIME - broke in the score-up and shifted out hampering PHOEBE'S DELIGHT and necessitating a false start be declared. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. The blinds were removed from SWELL TIME for the restart. Driver M Williamson elected to remain in his allotted position for the restart.
PHOEBE'S DELIGHT - sustained a punctured sulky tyre racing into the first bend and was retired from the race by trainer/driver B McLellan a short distance afterwards.
TAD LUCAS - driver A Armour advised he did not activate the sliding blinds applied to the mare. A Armour was issued with a warning for the manner he shifted ground inwards near the 150 metres.
MYARA - raced keenly in the middle stages. Weakened rounding the final bend.
CLIFTON JESSIE - Stewards questioned A Milne regarding the manner he drove into the first bend when his runner made contact with the sulky wheel of FOLKLORE. Mr Milne explained the mare had hung outwards and raced keenly in the early stages. After viewing the films and considering the explanation tendered Stewards issued Mr Milne with a warning. Removed from the Unruly for future mobile start engagements.
Race 6   ANDOVER HALL AT NEVELE R STUD HANDICAP TROT
ONLY ONE WAY - trotted roughly near the 1100 metres.
RYDGEMONT SON - broke at the start losing all chance.
NOTTINGHAM K TWO - over-raced in the middle stages. Raced wide from the 900 metres. Weakened from the 400 metres.
KING CASSIDY - trotted roughly on occasions during the running.
Race 7   MAJESTIC SON AT ALABAR TROT
JACCKA JEORGE - broke at the start losing all chance.
BIG IRON - hampered by a breaking runner near the 2000 metres.
ALPINE RETREAT - broke entering the final straight.
AYUTTHAYA - broke briefly passing the 1800 metres.
JUSTAN'S SISTER - broke at the start losing all chance.
THE NIGHT SWEATS - trotted roughly approaching the 1700 metres and had to be steadied, with the mare losing her position in the trail as a result.
MISS BAMBOOCHA - broke passing the 850 metres.
EMMA FROST - broke passing the 900 metres.
HELLUVA WAY - broke shortly after the start losing considerable ground. Will now be drawn unruly.
CRUSHER COLLINS - broke shortly after the start.
Race 8   SOUTHLAND EXPRESS NUGGET FINAL (MOBILE PACE)
BELLA SARA - over-raced in the middle stages.
Race 9   PHILLIPS HORSE TRANSPORT MOBILE PACE
TARTAN TRILOGY - checked and broke near the 100 metres when receiving outside pressure and being shifted inwards over track markers.
FRANCO HUNTINGTON - lay inwards racing into the first bend crowding an inside runner despite the efforts of driver J Morrison. Continued to lay inwards on various occasions during the running. Held up in the early stages of the home straight. Junior driver J Morrison assisted by senior driver Miss S Ottley admitted a breach of Rule 869(3)(b) the particulars being that he shifted inwards near the 100 metres when insufficiently clear checking both SAGWITCH and TARTAN TRILOGY. After viewing the relevant video footage and hearing submissions on the penalty the JCA imposed a suspension of Mr Morrison's horseman's licence from 25th November up to and including 29th November (2 days.)
IVANA LEGACY - had difficulty obtaining clear racing room throughout the final straight and due to this driver A Armour did not activate the sliding blinds applied to the mare.
SAGWITCH - placed in restricted room having to be restrained near the 100 metres when attempting to improve in the Passing Lane.
NOTA BENE DENARIO - had difficulty obtaining clear racing room throughout the home straight.
Race 10   ALWAYS B MIKI AT ALABAR MOBILE PACE
HAMPTON - co-trainers K Barclay and P Ellis were issued with a warning for the late notification of gear, namely blinds.
MELTON MAFIA - co-trainers G & C Lee were issued with a warning for presenting this runner with removable deafeners which had not been notified. Hampered near the 1700 metres.
DIANNE LORENA - weakened rounding the final bend.
PADUKA - hampered near the 1700 metres.
DUKE OF DUNDEE - stumbled approaching the 1700 metres causing several trailing runners to be hampered.
TULSA JACCKA - hampered near the 1700 metres. Over-raced throughout.
LOVE THE BLUES - lost contact with the body of the field through the middle stages.
DARK RAGE - cleared from the Unruly for future mobile start engagements.
