Race 4 - CANTERBURY STANDARDBRED BREEDERS (JUNIOR DRIVERS) PACE
Trainer B O'Meara advised Stewards on 11 September that following its disappointing performance at Addington on 30 August, VOODOO PRIESTESS was found to be suffering from a virus and has now been sent for a spell.
Race 8 - REECE PLUMBING MOBILE PACE
Driver J Keast admitted a breach of Rule 869(2) in that he used his whip on more occasions than permitted by Clause (b) of the Use of Whip Regulations when driving JIMMY CANNON and the JCA imposed a fine of $200.

Race 2 - HILLSIDE ITM MOBILE PACE
Driver B Butt admitted a breach of Rule 869(2) in that he used his whip on more occasions than permitted by Clause (b) of the Use of Whip Regulations when driving THE DUDE and after penalty submissions, the JCA suspended Mr Butt's Horseman's Licence from the conclusion of racing on 15 September up to and including 22 September 2019 (3 days).
Race 7 - DYERS ROAD ITM HANDICAP TROT
Co-Trainer G Hope advised Stewards on 9 September that MONBET has recovered well subsequent to its run at Addington on Friday and worked in pleasing fashion yesterday. Mr Hope added that in his opinion the gelding was not suited to the wet track in its fresh up assignment and confirmed that MONBET will continue its preparation.

Race 1   CHRISTCHURCH CASINO MOBILE PACE
KARAPIRO - paced roughly early stages. Over-raced middle stages. Lay outwards near the 1100 metres with the mare racing wider on the track for a short distance. Weakened final bend.
SHE'S A DAGG - held up final bend. Lay outwards in the home straight when having some difficulty obtaining clear racing room.
LE TISSIER - hung inwards passing the 100 metres.
AQUA SANCTA - out of position at the candy pole. Driver M Purdon was issued with a warning.
Race 2   DUNSTAN HORSE FEEDS MET MEGA SERIES MOBILE PACE
MY NIKAYLA - weakened final bend.
AWESOME SPEED - held up final bend.
DELIGHTFUL TANNER - raced roughly in the early stages and was restrained to the back of the field. Paced roughly passing the 1300 metres and had to be steadied. Again paced roughly near the 150 metres. When questioned, trainer/driver K Cox was unable to offer any explanation for the mare's performance. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a laceration to the right front heel bulb. Stood down pending a veterinary clearance.
SWEET LORESS - raced keenly through the middle stages.
WOODLEA EXPLORER - raced roughly passing the 900 metres losing some ground in consequence.
Following this event the track was upgraded to fast.
Race 3   VERO HANDICAP TROT
GIRLS LET LOOSE - broke near the 900 metres losing all chance.
WITH ICE - broke at the start losing all chance.
SPY DA MOMENT - broke shortly after the start losing all chance.
SUNDONS FLYER - trotted roughly through the early stages.
MADELEINE STOWE - raced wide without cover from the 800 metres. Weakened final bend.
MEDUSA - returned to the stable enclosure with a broken breastplate. This gear was inspected and found to be in previously good order.
Race 4   HYDROFLOW MOBILE PACE
HURRANIA THREE - weakened final bend.
FLY LIKA FALCON - raced wide in the early stages.
GOOD DAY SUNSHINE - raced roughly in the score up and through the early stages. Hampered by a breaking runner on the first bend.
PHILADELPHIA FREEDOM - hampered by a breaking runner on the first bend. Over-raced near the 2100 metres.
SAM'S TOWN - lay outwards in the score up and through the early stages.
CALYPSO ROCK - unable to take up its correct barrier position when another horse took its position and in consequence started some distance behind the field. Over-raced early and middle stages. Broke racing into the first bend. Weakened final bend. The all clear was delayed until Stewards had questioned driver A Stewart and determined that through not being able to start from its correct barrier position this runner had been denied a fair start and so was deemed a non runner.
CONQUER ME - driver R Holmes admitted a breach of Rule 862(2) in that he started from the incorrect barrier position and after penalty submissions the JCA imposed a fine of $350.
Race 5   ANTHONY SHEARER LTD 'ORDEAL TROTTING CUP' (MOBILE TROT)
WOODSTONE - broke in the score up and was out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the gelding's barrier record. Broke racing into the first bend when attempting to avoid a breaking runner.
HARRIET OF MOT - broke after 200 metres.
MONBET - weakened final bend.
Race 6   TICKETS ON SALE NOW FOR CUP WEEK MOBILE PACE
KRUIZR - out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver R May. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the entire. Paced roughly after 150 metres.
DOITSON - when spoken to regarding the performance, driver B Butt advised he was disappointed with the effort and could offer no explanation. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities. Stewards will follow up with the connections in the coming days.
Race 7   AVON CITY FORD 'NEW BRIGHTON CUP' (STAND PACE)
A G'S WHITE SOCKS - delayed the start through poor barrier manners. A warning was placed on the gelding's barrier record. Broke at the start.
CLASSIE BRIGADE - broke at the start losing all chance.
CHASE AUCKLAND - Stewards questioned driver T Williams regarding the manner he drove between the 2400 metres and the 2000 metres with regard to why he had restrained his runner and surrendered the lead to ULTIMATE SNIPER and once having done so immediately shifted outwards to pass that runner and re-assume the lead. Mr Williams explained that he had been surprised with how far forward his runner had settled bearing in mind its previous standing start experience and that near the 2400 metres noticed ULTIMATE SNIPER was the only runner improving to his outside in the two-wide line. He said that he was mindful of his horse being fresh up today from a considerable spell and so was reluctant to try and sustain a challenge from Ms Rasmussen who he assumed was not likely to accept sitting parked in a 2600 metre race in a small field and so elected to restrain. Mr Williams added that he was aware of the preparation of ULTIMATE SNIPER and knew that horse would likely take a trail if challenged, even more so when he noticed the pace ease as ULTIMATE SNIPER crossed to the lead. Mr Williams then said that he was unwilling to be potentially pushed three deep if any other runner improved so shifted forwards himself. After also speaking with N Rasmussen the Stewards noted Mr Williams comments.
HAIL CHRISTIAN - weakened over the final stages. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the entire to be suffering from muscle tie up. Stewards will follow up with the connections in the coming days.
SPANKEM - broke at the start.
Race 8   AIRPARK CANTERBURY MOBILE TROT
IN SEQUENCE - raced wide in the early and middle stages.
EASY PICKINGS - broke late in the run home and continued on in a break over the finishing line. Authorisation of 4th placing was withheld until Stewards were satisfied the gelding had complied with the Breaking Horse Regulations and had not been lapped on.
TONIQUE DE FEU - out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the gelding's barrier record. Trotted roughly middle stages. Broke near the 500 metres after becoming awkwardly placed close to the sulky wheel of QUAESTOR when over-racing. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a laceration to the right front heel bulb. Stood down pending a veterinary clearance.
QUAESTOR - trotted roughly in the score up and was out of position at the start. Carried a flat tyre from the 500 metres.
MARIA TSARINA - raced wide throughout. Trotted roughly approaching the 900 metres then broke near the 300 metres.
JAW D NANCY - raced four wide through the early stages when over-racing. Broke near the 1200 metres.
Race 9   FAHEY FENCE HIRE MOBILE PACE
JIMMY CANNON - out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver J Keast. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
RAKE - had some difficulty obtaining clear racing room throughout the home straight.
DARK RAGE - broke in the score up losing considerable ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Weakened final bend.
MACHS MARETA - out of position at the candy pole. Driver R Close was issued a $100 Minor Infringement Notice.
Race 10   BOOK YOUR XMAS PARTY AT ADDINGTON RACEWAY MOBILE PACE
BEAU VISTA - held up early stages of the run home. Broke near the 150 metres.
INVISIBLE GIRL - over-raced middle stages.
DODGETHEBULLET - broke in the score up and was out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Over-raced and hung outwards through the middle stages. Broke near the 300 metres and broke a hopple while in a break. A warning was placed on the gelding's racing record.
