Race 1   HARAS des TROTTEURS MONTE SADDLE TROT (MOBILE)
LITTLEBITOFLOVE - broke racing into the first bend losing ground. Broke near the 750 metres and was not able to be returned to its correct gait for some distance. Again broke passing the 200 metres for approximately 75 metres. Disqualified by the JCA.
GALLEONS VICTORY - broke near the 300 metres and continued on in a gallop for a considerable distance. Disqualified by the JCA.
SONEY BEATT - broke racing into the first bend losing considerable ground. Steadied away from a breaking runner near the 750 metres and when doing so improved on the inside of the pylons with rider M Northcott unable to restrain the horse and rejoin for the field for a significant time. Galloped near the 400 metres and was disqualified by the JCA for breaking excessively.
MY BOY BOO - broke with 150 metres remaining and continued on in a gallop across the finishing line, disqualified by the JCA.
Race 2   SIMS PACIFIC METALS SOUTH OF THE BOMBAYS SERIES MOBILE PACE
LE GIRL - lay outwards in the early stages and broke near the 1400 metres losing ground. Recovered its gait wider on the track and then improved to race outside the leader, then weakened inside the final 250 metres inconveniencing a trailing runner. Stood down pending a satisfactory trial.
ARTY PHARTY - held up by a tiring runner at the entrance to the run home and did not get clear racing room until inside the final 120 metres.
BETTOR TRENZ - broke at the start. Stood down pending a satisfactory trial. At the request of Trainer A Drake the gelding will now be drawn unruly for mobile racing.
FANCY SCHMANCY - broke near the 500 metres losing it chance. A warning was placed on the mares racing record.
ALLONBLACK - as the person in charge of this runner Horseman L Whittaker was fined $100 for presenting the mare with the incorrect saddle cloth.
Race 3   FRANKLIN PARK YEARLING PARADE SAT JULY 27 MOBILE TROT
AS FREE AS AIR - Driver M White was questioned regarding the manner he drove between the 1300 metres and the 1200 metres with particular regards to if he could have made a better effort to hold the position trailing WHIPS N SPURS which was eventually taken by CANSKYFLY. Mr White explained that his runner had lay inwards and due to him being mindful that it was only the horses third mobile start he had been reluctant to pressure her at this time, instead electing to concede his position. After reviewing the films and considering his explanation Stewards took the matter no further other than noting his comments.
CHARLEMAGNE - out of position at the start. Hampered by a breaking runner near the 250 metres. Driver K Marshall advised Stewards that the gelding trotted unevenly during the score up and the early stages of the race.
CANSKYFLY - raced wide in the early stages.
LUCK OF THE MOMENT - lay in and then broke near the 300 metres.
LOVELY BUNDY - lay in on numerous occasions during the race .
Race 4   SIMS PACIFIC METALS SOUTH OF THE BOMBAYS SERIES MOBILE PACE
QUICK AS FIRE - broke a hopple near the 150 metres and galloped in consequence. This gear was inspected and found to be in previously good order.
RED TERROR - lay inwards through the middle stages. Attempted to improve three wide near the 600 metres however the gelding hung back down the track despite the efforts of driver D Butcher causing it to become held up for some distance. When spoken to regarding this trainer S Dickson advised that it was his intention to try the horse in a more appropriate bit when resuming.
ERROL FINN - paced unevenly over the later stages. A post race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.
HEZALUCKYGRINNER - lay inwards throughout the race.
TWO FIFTYEIGHT - over raced and paced roughly through the early stages. Held up on the final bend and was hampered by RED TERROR who was not able to improve its position. Only obtained clear racing room near the 75 metres.
Race 5   IRT MOBILE PACE
RUBY ROSE - shifted inwards upon reaching the passing lane to occupy that run causing DIVINIA BELLEZZA to be held up. Stewards questioned driver A Herlihy regarding this and after considering his explanation issued him with a charge in that as the lead horse on the running lane he failed to maintain a straight course and allow access to the passing lane for trailing runners. Mr Herlihy admitted the charge with the JCA imposing a $350.00 fine.
TROUBADOR - lay outwards on occasion through the middle stages. Shifted outwards on the final bend and continued to do so throughout the run home. A warning was placed on the gelding's racing record.
BIT OF A TIGER - broke at the start and lost its chance. A warning was placed on the gelding's barrier record.
FERRITTS SISTER - hung inwards in the early stages.
DIVINIA BELLEZZA - held up throughout the final straight.
THE STUNNING NUN - inconvenienced in the early stages by a breaking runner.
Race 6   ASHCROFT HOMES MOBILE PACE
VERDELHO - when spoken to regarding the mares performance Trainer / Driver B Mangos explained the horse had been unsuited to a rise in the class of opposition.
PROP ROCK - raced wide in the early stages.
CHILLYSJUSTASHADOW - weakened near the 600 metres.
IDEAL AGENT - over raced in the early stages.
Race 7   BRECKON FARMS MOBILE TROT
SUNNY GLENIS - out of position at the candy pole and the start.
CREDIT MASTER - broke in the early stages.
PRES THE BELLE - Driver P Ferguson reported that he did not release the deafeners on his mare due to having the field covered.
MISSANDEI - lay outwards under pressure in the final straight.
Race 8   CROMBIE LOCKWOOD INSURANCE MOBILE PACE
SHILLELAGH - out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver K Marshall. Mr Marshall reported the horse to have fought the pole.
KOTARE CULLEN - trainer R Dunn was issued a minor infringement and fined $100.00 for presenting the mare without the notified anti-choking device
BAQUERO - out of position at the start, driver M McKendry was issued with a warning
Race 9   HAVE YOUR MID WINTER XMAS PARTY AT ALEX PARK MOBILE TROT
DANKE - trotted roughly over the final stages when placed in restrictive room.
SUNNY PEGASUS - briefly crowed in early stages when runners either side shifted ground.
LITTLE BRO - placed in restrictive room over the final stages having to be steady.
ASTOUND - broke briefly on the first bend with the mare having to run wide for some distance as a consequence. Driver M Wallis reported she had not released the mare's deafeners due to having the field covered and it racing roughly.
EYRE I GO - trotted roughly and was out of position at the start. Lay inwards on each of the bends. Held up throughout the run home.
SAINT MICHEL - held up on the final bend.
OUR ROSA - S Cornwall was cautioned regarding the manner he drove over the final stages when allowing his horse to shift inwards and pressure those runners placed inside him.
Race 10   SIMS PACIFIC METALS SOUTH OF THE BOMBAYS SERIES MOBILE PACE
BELLA ROZA - When questioned regarding the manner in which she drove in the early stages A Harrison explained that she believed her horses best racing position today from barrier two over the mile distance was in front and so therefore attempted to hold that position. She added that she had anticipated receiving some pressure from AFORTUNADO and so did briefly attempt to withstand that challenge but ultimately been unsuccessful. Stewards accepted her comments however advised that she may be better served to be more decisive in future. Miss Harrison was also cautioned for failing to make a greater effort to ensure her sliding blinds had been activated.
AFORTUNADO - Driver J Abernethy was questioned regarding his tactics through the early stages when applying a sustained pressure to the lead of BELLA ROZA. Mr Abernethy reported the gelding to have hung in previous races and so felt the horses best chances were by leading tonight. He added that the horse had again hung throughout leaving him unable to fully test his runner, instead having to apply both hands to one rein. Mr Abernethy said that he would be recommending the horse be kept from right hand racing. Stewards took the matter no further other than to place a warning on the geldings racing record.
NOTORIOUS - hung inwards through the early stages,
SPIRIT OF ANZAC - raced roughly for a short distance near the 800 metre mark after making contact with the sulky wheel OHOKA JOHNNY. Driver S Iremonger was issued with a warning for failing to show sufficient care at this time.
Race 11   ARABIAN NIGHT AT THE PARK JULY 26 MOBILE TROT
SUNNY PETITE - Broke near the 550 metre mark. Authorisation of the fillies 5th place was withheld until it was confirmed that she did not gallop in excess of 150 metres.
ENABLE ME - Trotted roughly in the score up and broke prior to the start losing considerable ground. Broke passing the 800 metres losing it's chance.
BLUE COMAN - Driver Z Butcher reported that due to his gelding hanging, he did not activate its removable deafeners.
RESONATE - Broke for a short distance near the 1300 metres. Broke again near the 400 metres.
