Driver R Austin defended a charge under Rule 869(3)(b) alleging that he drove carelessly when allowing his runner to shift inwards near the 750m resulting in his inside sulky wheel contacting the off-hind leg of MAGIC SIGN which paced roughly in consequence. After viewing replays and hearing evidence from Stewards and Mr Austin, the Adjudicative Committee found the charge proved and imposed a suspension of Mr Austin's driver's licence from the conclusion of racing today 16 October, up to and including 31 October 2025, 2 days.

After viewing the replays driver R McIlwrick did not contest the protest and IMPERIAL MAN was disqualified by the Stewards. Connections were advised the gelding was stood down to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards on one occasion prior to resuming.
