FRANCO SINATRA - connections advised on 16 October that blood tests returned clear. Further advised that the gelding has been given a freshen-up on the beach, as noted in the horse movement notification.

Race 1   EH BALL ITM MOBILE PACE
RAKATURBO - lay out near the 1800m hampering outside runners. Hampered near the 1200m. Continued to lay out at stages throughout.
PROPOSITION JOE - shied and shifted up the track when leading near the 1200m hampering trailing runners. Driver B Barclay reported he did not activate the removable deafeners due to having the field covered.
BIG VINNIE - lay out rounding the first bend hampering an outside runner. Hampered near the 1800m. Continued to lay out rounding the bends.
MIKI SKIPPER - over-raced through the middle stages. Hampered near the 1200m.
THREE THIRTY - raced wide early. Hampered rounding the first bend. Hampered again passing the 1800m and broke in consequence losing ground. Weakened final bend.
FRANCO SEB - hampered near the 1200m.
MAGNETIC DAUGHTER - broke shortly after the start losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
Race 2   McKNIGHT & BROWN MOBILE PACE
MAGIC SIGN - placed in restricted room near the 750m and paced roughly in consequence dislodging a track marker. Again placed in restricted room shortly after and contacted by an outside runner, then lay inwards and paced roughly hampering a trailing runner which contacted the sulky wheel of MAGIC SIGN, resulting in the tyre puncturing. Hampered by a weakening runner near the 600m.
CALIFORNIA DREAMING - made contact with an inside runner near the 750m. Weakened from the 600m hampering trailing runners. Driver R Austin defended a charge under Rule 869(3)(b) alleging that he drove carelessly when allowing his runner to shift inwards near the 750m resulting in his inside sulky wheel contacting the off-hind leg of MAGIC SIGN which paced roughly in consequence. After viewing replays and hearing evidence from Stewards and Mr Austin, the Adjudicative Committee found the charge proved and imposed a suspension of Mr Austin's driver's licence from the conclusion of racing today 16 October, up to and including 31 October 2025, 2 days.
HERE'S JOHNY - broke in the score up and was out of position at the start. Stood down to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards on one occasion from a mobile prior to resuming.
KENSI - hampered near the 750m. Hampered again by a weakening runner near the 600m.
Race 3   CRAIG HEYRICK AT HARCOURTS HANDICAP TROT
BORN TO ROCK - tangled away.
MAJESTIC DAUGHTER - broke shortly after the start losing all chance.
PHOEBE CONQUEROR - broke shortly after the start and galloped uncontrollably for a lap losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
MAJESTIC CHALLEN - broke at the start losing ground. Broke again near the 1700m losing all chance.
GARONNE - hampered in the early stages by a breaking runner.
HENNESSY - slow away.
POPNROCK - slow away. Broke briefly first bend.
Race 4   REGENT CAR COURT FILLIES & MARES MOBILE PACE
MIND PHILLY - briefly hampered near the 1200m.
RAKAQUATTRO - briefly hampered near the 1200m.
ALWAYS BE KIND - placed in restricted room by an outside runner shortly after the start and broke in consequence losing ground. Hampered by a breaking runner near the 750m. Weakened final bend.
JUSTAWEESIP - shied when leading passing the 1200m hampering trailing runners. Lay out at stages in the run home having to be straightened by driver P Hunter.
JUSTA CRUNCH - broke shortly after the start losing ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the filly. Lay inwards on the bend near the 900m then locked wheels with BETTER KAST near the 800m and broke losing all chance, hampering trailing runners. Stood down to trial on one occasion to the satisfaction of Stewards prior to resuming.
SILENT THEORY - out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver M Hurrell. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Paced roughly first bend. Hampered by a breaking runner near the 750m.
BALTIC STAR - driver R Gutsell admitted a charge under Rule 869(3)(b) in that he drove carelessly shortly after the start when shifting ground inwards placing ALWAYS BE KIND in restricted room which broke in consequence. After viewing replays and considering submissions on penalty the Adjudicative Committee imposed a fine of $250.
BETTER KAST - locked wheels with JUSTA CRUNCH near the 800m when that runner lay inwards.
Race 5   LEADER BUILDING & CONSTRUCTION MOBILE PACE
TEN DA TOUCH - held up final bend and early stages of the run home.
FOXING EASTON - held up early in the run home. Stewards questioned driver N Williamson regarding his tactics over the latter stages in particular his decision not to utilise the passing lane when the opportunity existed, resulting in him becoming held up early in the run home. Mr Williamson explained he was concerned that the leader would not get him to the passing lane and so when the favourite runner peeled to go wider he elected to do the same. Stewards noted Mr Williamson's comments.
Connections advised Stewards on 24 October that ROCK OR BUST has had its joints treated since last racing.
Race 6   NEW BETAVET PRODUCT LAUNCHING SOON HANDICAP TROT
SEBASTIAN STARK - broke rounding the first bend losing all chance.
THE GREEK FREAK - forced wider by a breaking runner leaving the final bend .
CODY BANNER - trotted roughly in the run home and was unable to be fully driven out which was confirmed by driver M Williamson.
ANNROSE - late scratching at 7.14am on veterinary advice. Connections were advised a veterinary clearance would be required prior to the mare racing next.
MARKTHEWARRIOR - broke rounding the final bend losing all chance.
ANDY HALL - broke passing the 500m when hampered by an outside runner losing all chance.
IMPERIAL MAN - broke prior to the 50m and failed to settle losing its chance. Stewards lodged a protest against 4th placing being awarded to the gelding under Rule 870(3) and the Breaking Horses Regulation alleging IMPERIAL MAN had broken in excess of 50m inside the final 200m. After viewing the replays driver R McIlwrick did not contest the protest and IMPERIAL MAN was disqualified by the Stewards. Connections were advised the gelding was stood down to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards on one occasion prior to resuming.
ONE TWO MENNY - broke at the start losing ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Lay inwards first bend hampering an inside runner. Raced three wide from the 1100m. Trotted roughly through the middle stages. Lay inwards again hampering an inside runner near the 500m. A warning was also placed on the racing record of the gelding. Weakened final bend. Driver K Larsen reported that he had difficulty steering the gelding on the bends.
OUR PINOCCHIO - broke after 150m losing all chance.
DOMINATION'S CALL - hampered by an outside runner shortly after the start and broke in consequence losing all chance.
Race 7   LISA DOLLY CATERING RACE DAY CAFE MOBILE PACE
DRAGON POWER - held up for clear racing room throughout the run home. Driver H Douglas reported he did not activate the removable deafeners in consequence.
BOWLEM OVER - lay inwards early stages of the run home.
RISE UP N DANCE - late scratching on veterinary advice at 1.40pm.
ITSALLABOUTTHEMONEY - Driver C Dalgety reported the mare had hung during the running.
CAPTAIN AMORE - raced inside a track marker near the 250m. Driver B Williamson was issued with a $100 Minor Infringement Notice.
JENNY GUMP - briefly paced roughly shortly after the start.
Race 8   THE DARK HORSE MARES HANDICAP TROT
A false start was declared at the first attempt when MIXED FAITH made brief contact with a Starters Assistant as the tapes were released.
MIXED FAITH - broke over the concluding stages losing its chance.
MONARO MEDORA - fractious prior to the start. Sent to the Unruly position for the restart where the mare will remain for future standing starts. Broke briefly rounding the first bend. Weakened final bend. Returned to the birdcage enclosure with blood present in a nostril. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a small abrasion to the right nostril.
EMILY - broke rounding the first bend losing considerable ground. Weakened final bend.
PRINCESS SADIE - hampered by a breaking runner near the 400m.
LIL WHIP - broke passing the 400m hampering trailing runners losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the mare.
TORQUAY STREET - raced wide early.
NUBLIAH CHAMAY - hampered by a breaking runner near the 400m.
PRACTICAL MAGIC - broke rounding the final bend losing all chance.
EMPIRE CITY - slow in the early stages. Broke passing the 850m losing considerable ground. Weakened final bend.
Race 9   EQUINE PRODUCTS NZ LTD MOBILE PACE
RISING STORM - held up over the concluding stages of the run home.
SHERWOOD MAGGIE - lay inwards final bend contracting a track marker. Held up over the concluding stages of the run home.
AIRWAVES - held up early stages of the run home.
THE BRICKLAYER - driver P Hunter reported he was unable to activate the removable deafeners due to the cord breaking. The gear was inspected and found to be in previously good condition.
Trainer W Bryant advised Stewards on 21 October that RISING STORM has been treated for ulcers since last racing.
