A post-race veterinary examination revealed a high heart rate and slow recovery. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days. Connections advised Stewards on 31 July THE HIGHWAYMAN has recovered well after its last start and has been sent for a spell.

A post-race veterinary examination revealed a high heart rate and signs of muscle tie-up. Trainer H Cullen advised he would have blood tests taken from the gelding in the coming days and will advise the results to Stewards. Connections advised Stewards on 1 August blood tests taken from JUSTCALLMEMIKI following its last start revealed the gelding to be suffering from a virus which is being treated.
