He further stated that after activating the removable deafeners when attempting to improve in the passing lane that he had used the whip on at least six occasions and felt that the gelding was doing its best over the final stages. After considering the matter Stewards took no further action on this occasion other than to remind Mr Macfarlane of his obligations to drive in such a manner that leaves no room for query in the future.
