A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have a laceration to the left front leg which was treated. Connections were advised ABULL was stood down pending a veterinary clearance prior to resuming. Junior driver D Anderson, assisted by senior driver C Ferguson, admitted a charge that he drove carelessly in the incident near the 80m when allowing his runner to shift ground inwards checking an inside runner.
