Pre-race blood testing was carried out. Following the running of Race 4 the track conditions were downgraded to Slushy with trainers directed to affix mudguards to their sulkies. This information was disseminated through the appropriate channels however as the oncourse sound system proved difficult to hear down at the stabling area, Stewards extended leniency when assessing mudguard penalties for Race 5. |
