RUSHKINOFF - raced wide early. Crowded by an outside runner near the 850m. Weakened near the 550m hampering trailing runners. When questioned regarding the performance driver E Johnson advised the gelding had worked hard in the early stages to improve to the lead and after withstanding a challenge through the middle stages to retain the lead the effort had taken its toll. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.

Mr Teaz further advised the gelding had also been treated for a virus and would be freshened prior to resuming.
