Race 1   BORDER FENCING SERVICES JUNIOR DRIVERS MOBILE PACE
REET PETITE - lay inwards contacting track markers near the 900m.
MURTLE THE TURTLE - lay inwards contacting track markers near the 900m. Hampered by a weakening runner for a distance passing the 550m.
TASI AHNAU - lay inwards contacting track markers near the 900m. Hampered by a weakening runner for a distance passing the 550m.
TURN O THE TIDE - over-raced middle stages. Junior driver K Denifostova, assisted by T Herlihy, was issued a warning for the manner in which she drove near the 850m when attempting to shift inwards when insufficiently clear of RUSHKINOFF with MUCHACHO also being hampered when Miss Denifostova had attempted to correct her runner.
RUSHKINOFF - raced wide early. Crowded by an outside runner near the 850m. Weakened near the 550m hampering trailing runners. When questioned regarding the performance driver E Johnson advised the gelding had worked hard in the early stages to improve to the lead and after withstanding a challenge through the middle stages to retain the lead the effort had taken its toll. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
MICK KONSTANTIN - over-raced middle stages.
MUCHACHO - broke shortly after the start losing ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Raced wide from the 1200m. Hampered near the 850m by an inside runner. Lay inwards rounding the bends.
Race 2   QUIZ NIGHT EVERY WED IN THE ALEX TROT
SOUTH SYDNEY - briefly held up early in the run home.
SPARKLE - broke entering the first bend losing ground. Broke again rounding the final bend losing its chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the mare.
ISHTAR - lay inwards contacting track markers near the 1700m. Again lay inwards near the 700m contacting a track marker. Broke near the 500m losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the mare.
STINA BLACKSTENIUS - lay inwards near the 1250m contacting track markers.
DONEGAL HILL - fractious prior to the start resulting in the gelding being back from position when the start was effected.
PIRAYAS - hampered by an outside runner at the start with driver T Hanara being briefly unbalanced in the sulky. Trotted roughly in the early stages losing ground. Lay inwards near the 1250m contacting a track marker which was dislodged.
SHARDS AVATAR - shied as the barrier strand was released hampering an inside runner.
TIZOURS - lay inwards leaving the final bend contacting track markers.
MECHANICA - slow to begin.
Race 3   TAB - NORTHERN METRO TROTTERS HEAT 1 MOBILE TROT
TWO FRANCS - hung outwards and trotted roughly in the early stages.
SANTAPAZIENZA - lay inwards rounding the bends contacting track markers. Briefly crowded late in the run home and contacted the final track marker prior to the finish.
EAGLE HANOVER - lay inwards late in the run home briefly crowding an inside runner.
HILLBILLY - over-raced when leading through the middle stages.
CRAZY - pre-race warmed. When questioned regarding the performance driver Z Butcher advised the horse had difficulty making ground wide on the track due to the strong tempo of the race however he was slightly disappointed with the effort.
VORONOV - over-raced early.
TRAVELIN SOLDIER - pre-race warmed. Weakened leaving the final bend.
Race 4   TOP OF THE PARK OPEN FRI 22 MAY MOBILE PACE
TOFFEE POTTS - lay outwards near the 600m locking wheels with SPIRIT OF GOD with both runners losing all chance and a trailing runner being checked. Stewards spoke with drivers J Wakeling (TOFFEE POTTS) and M McKendry (SPIRIT OF GOD) regarding this incident. After considering the matter, Stewards were unable to apportion blame to either driver and no further action was deemed necessary.
AWESOME CHOICE - lay outwards through the back straight on the final occasion. Broke rounding the final bend losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding. A post-race veterinary and endoscopic examination at the request of connections revealed no findings of significance.
JESSIE LINCOLN - paced roughly near the 350m.
SPIRIT OF GOD - lay inwards near the 600m locking wheels with TOFFEE POTTS with both runners losing all chance and a trailing runner being checked.
SRIRACHA - lay inwards rounding the final bend contacting track markers.
MARYLYNES BOY - slow to leave the pre-race formation however was in position at the start. Checked near the 600m losing all chance.
Race 5   LISTEN LIVE ON SPORTNATION.NZ HANDICAP PACE
SUGAR RAY LINCOLN - fractious prior to the start.
LEO LINCOLN - had difficulty obtaining clear racing room throughout the run home.
FINAL CHANGE - lay inwards rounding the first bend contacting a track marker. Lay inwards late in the run home contacting the final track marker prior to the finish.
UPSTAGE - broke briefly at the start losing ground.
TWISTA - broke shortly after the start losing ground.
LITTLE SPIKE - fractious prior to the start
Race 6   TAB - NORTHERN METRO TROTTERS HEAT 2 MOBILE TROT
BROTHER JOHNSON - underwent a pre-race veterinary examination after having raced at the Waikato BOP Harness meeting last evening and was cleared to start.
OVERWATCH - raced wide early.
TATTICA - lay inwards near the 1300m contacting a track marker. Lay inwards and trotting roughly final bend losing ground.
THE FOUR ACES - lay inwards leaving the final bend becoming awkwardly placed close to the sulky of CYCLONE SALA.
Race 7   MID-WINTER XMAS 26 JUNE- NORTHERN METRO PACERS HT 1 MOB PACE
DEAR GOD - hampered by a slight easing of the pace near the 1000m.
MAMA'S WISH - crowded by an outside runner near the 1200m having to be steadied. Became awkwardly placed close to the sulky of UTAH BLAZE near the 1000m having to be steadied resulting in a slight easing of the pace. Lay inwards leaving the final bend contacting track markers.
GOTTA GO MIKI - over-raced middle stages. Hampered by a slight easing of the pace near the 1000m. Held up for the majority of the run home.
UTAH BLAZE - lay inwards final bend contacting track markers. Driver M McKendry was warned for the manner in which he shifted ground near the 1200m crowding an inside runner.
PRINCE LINCOLN - over-raced middle stages. Hampered by a slight easing of the pace near the 1000m. Weakened in the run home. When questioned regarding the performance driver P Ferguson advised that the gelding had failed to settle during the running with the effort taking its toll. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
INCENTIVISE - broke in the score up losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
TUGAWAR - paced roughly early stages. Hampered by a slight easing of the pace near the 1000m. Weakened rounding the final bend.
BUDDY GOOD - briefly locked wheels with an outside runner leaving the final bend.
CHANEL NOIRE - lay inwards leaving the final bend briefly locking wheels with an inside runner.
