A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding. Stewards lodged a protest against 1st placing being awarded to the gelding after it was lapped on by SON OF PATRICK at the finish. After viewing the replays the connections did not contest the protest and KING OF DIAMONDS was relegated to 2nd placing by the Stewards.
