Race 1   HILTON DELEGAT PAINTING & DECORATING HCP TROT
The start was delayed due to COOL PHELAN refusing to come into line with the field being turned away to readdress the barriers. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
TIKI - lost contact with the leader when trailing near the 1000m allowing KOKO KABOOM to take up the trail position.
HIGHVIEW ROCKN ROLL - trotted roughly over the concluding stages and was unable to be fully driven out by driver E Johnson.
SCOOTS - trotted roughly after the start then broke briefly near the 1800m losing ground. Broke again passing the 900m losing all chance.
KOKO KABOOM - pre-race warmed. Driver K Coppins advised she did not activate the removable deafeners due to having the field covered.
Race 2   CONNIE STEWART NZ SOTHEBY'S INTERNATIONAL REALTY MOB PACE
INDISPOSED - held up rounding the final bend.
BIG GEE - over-raced through the middle stages. Held up rounding the final bend and early in the run home. Shifted out to obtain clear racing room through the middle stages of the run home and continued to shift out under pressure over the concluding stages.
CANDY GIRL - weakened rounding the final bend.
WHITEBAIT BOY - over-raced middle stages.
EASTWOOD ADMIRAL - over-raced early and middle stages before being taken forward to sit outside the leader near the 1300m.
ALWAYS B SWEET - out of position at the start. Driver B Wilkins was spoken to advisedly to ensure her horse is on the gate at the point of dispatch.
Race 3   OSBORNE GROUP CHARTERED ACCOUNTANTS MOBILE PACE
MILLION DOLLAR CHIC - broke briefly in the score up but was in position at the candy pole.
TRES BONNE FILLE - pulled hard in the score up. Held up rounding the final bend.
THE ELITE ATHLETE - held up early in the run home.
THE NIGHT FOX - out of position at the start. Junior driver B Wilkins was issued a $100 Minor Infringement Notice.
ESTER LUCY - permission was granted for the mare to race without the notified removable deafeners. Broke in the score up losing all chance.
EDDIE OSEI - paced roughly after the start losing considerable ground. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
Race 4   HOMEGROWN DELI & PANTRY WAIRARAPA GRASS CUP MOB PACE
JAHI - broke briefly in the score up but was in position at the candy pole.
KAWACTUS - held up throughout the run home.
FEAR THE DIVA - raced wide early before pacing roughly over the crossing. Paced roughly rounding the final bend.
DIXIELAND DELIGHT - out of position at the start. Driver E Johnson will be spoken to in the coming days. Lay in and paced roughly entering the home straight.
GOORAMBAT ART - locked wheels briefly near the 1000m with CALL SECURITY.
CALL SECURITY - shifted outwards near the 1000m and then continued to lay out despite the efforts of driver M Hay locking wheels briefly with GOORAMBAT ART.
