SHANDON BELLS - struck a track marker rounding the final bend when driver C Williamson was activating gear. Junior driver C Williamson was issued a warning. Mrs Williamson (assisted by M Williamson) admitted a breach of Rule 869(2) and the Whip and Rein Regulations in that she used her whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home. After viewing the replays and hearing submissions on penalty the Adjudicative Committee suspended Mrs Williamson's driver's licence from the conclusion of racing tonight up to and including 18 May 2024 (2 days).

Stewards investigated a perceived breach of the Push Out Rule where it was established that DANCING GLENIS had commenced to shift outwards prior to THE CHASE reaching its sulky wheel and no further action was required. Over-raced and trotted roughly through the middle stages.

JACCKA BAYLIS - weakened from the 700m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be showing signs of possible muscle tie-up and a poor recovery. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days.

SPELLS OF LOVE - weakened from the 700m and was retired from the event by driver M Hurrell. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have a high heart rate and slow recovery. Driver M Hurrell was warned for half carting for a distance near the 2000m.
