ALWAYS B THERE - lay inwards when racing over the crossing near the 1800m and had to be corrected by its driver.

ALWAYS B THERE - lay out in the score up. Shifted ground inwards abruptly shortly after the start contacting the sulky wheel of GIRLSHAVTIME and broke, losing ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Authorisation of 2nd placing was withheld until Stewards had viewed replays and were satisfied the gelding had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation. Driver J Douglas admitted a charge under Rule 869(2) and Whip & Rein Regulations in that he used his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home. After considering penalty submissions the Adjudicative Committee suspended Mr Douglas' licence to drive from the conclusion of racing today 23 November up to and including 08 December 2022 (3 days).

A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have a high heart rate and slow recovery. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days.
