MADISON'S MOON - held up early stages of the run home. Lay inwards over the concluding stages despite the efforts of driver R Close.

MADISON'S MOON - broke at the start and continued on in a break for a considerable distance despite the efforts of driver B Orange. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Broke again near the 450m losing all chance and continued on in a break across the finish line. A warning was also placed on the racing record of the mare. Mr Orange advised he would be recommending gear changes. Stewards lodged a protest against 5th placing being awarded under Rule 870(3) and the Breaking Horses Regulation alleging the mare had broken in excess of 150m in the early stages. The connections did not contest the protest and MADISON'S MOON was disqualified by Stewards.
