Connections were advised the gelding was stood down pending a veterinary clearance including the results of an ECG before completing one trial to the satisfaction of Stewards prior to resuming.

ALWAYS TICKING - weakened from the 1100m and was retired from the race. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the mare had suffered an atrial fibrillation. Stood down pending a veterinary clearance including the results of an ECG before completing one trial to the satisfaction of Stewards prior to resuming. Driver N Williamson was warned for shifting ground racing into the first bend placing an inside runner in restricted room which contacted track markers.

ALWAYS TICKING - raced wider on the track near the 1250m when WALLFLOWER shifted outwards. Stewards investigated a possible breach of the Push Out Rule however after viewing replays it was established that driver C Dalgety (WALLFLOWER) had commenced his outwards movement prior to ALWAYS TICKING reaching his sulky wheel with no further action required.

Lay outwards rounding the final bend and in the early stages of the run home and was unable to utilise a run to the inside having to be steadied and shifted outwards.
