Weakened from the 600m. When questioned regarding the performance Mr Williams advised the filly had failed to handle the track conditions. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.

BY CHANCE - broke in the score up and was out of position at the start. Raced wide from the 800m. Following the race driver M Hurrell advised Stewards he believed he had been denied a fair start when unable to take up his correct Unruly barrier position due to HERE'S JOHNY being in his position. Stewards requested a ruling from the Adjudicative Committee and after viewing replays and hearing from Mr Hurrell and Stewards, BY CHANCE was declared a non-runner acting under Rule 213(1)(j) due to being denied a fair start.

MIKI'S BEAUTY - raced greenly near the 300m having to be straightened by driver B Orange. Mr Orange advised he did not activate the sliding blinds due to having the field covered. Mr Orange defended a charge under Rule 869(3)(b) alleging that he drove carelessly near the 350m when striking the sulky wheel of TOP POCKET CHANCE resulting in the tyre puncturing. After viewing replays and hearing from all parties the Adjudicative Committee found the charge proved and suspended Mr Orange's driver's licence from the conclusion of racing on 2 March up to and including 9 March 2025 (4 days).

The matter was adjourned by the Adjudicative Committee to be heard on Wednesday 12 March. Continued to lay in at stages in the run home.
