When questioned regarding the performance driver O Kite advised that although the gelding was fresh up and had worked hard early he was still disappointed with the effort given the horse's preparation leading into the meeting. MIKI'S BEAUTY - raced greenly near the 300m having to be straightened by driver B Orange. Mr Orange advised he did not activate the sliding blinds due to having the field covered. Mr Orange defended a charge under Rule 869(3)(b) alleging that he drove carelessly near the 350m when striking the sulky wheel of TOP POCKET CHANCE resulting in the tyre puncturing. After viewing replays and hearing from all parties the Adjudicative Committee found the charge proved and suspended Mr Orange's driver's licence from the conclusion of racing on 2 March up to and including 9 March 2025 (4 days).
