A post-race veterinary examination revealed a slow recovery. Mr Williamson advised he would have blood tests conducted on the mare in the coming days. Stewards will follow up the results.

Authorisation of placings was withheld until Stewards had viewed the photo finish and confirmed the Judge's call of a dead heat for 4th place between SHE'S A JEWEL and FRANCO CHAPLIN after being unable to identify the nose of FRANCO CHAPLIN which was obstructed by the nose flap. Stewards opened an investigation regarding this matter and will speak to trainer B Waldron in the coming days.
