Stewards lodged a protest against the promoted 4th placing being awarded to the gelding under Rule 870(3) and the Breaking Horses Regulation alleging WHISPERING MAJESTIC had broken in excess of 50m inside the final 200m. After viewing the replays driver J Morrison did not contest the protest and WHISPERING MAJESTIC was disqualified by the Stewards. Mr Morrison reported he would be recommending gear changes.
